Spend on Yourself and Family First
‎Shaykh ‘Abdulraḥmān bin Ghālib al-Muwāsī ⁦ @muwasi1395⁩ [
A Reminder Benefits the Believers.

Your likes, views, and followers will not benefit you in your grave nor on the Day of Judgment. What will truly save you is holding firmly to the Deen of Allah and following the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ upon the understanding of the Salaf as-Salih. If you displease Allah to please the people, then wait and see—will they save you when you are alone in your grave or standing before your Lord? Put the pleasure of Allah before the short-lived approval of people, because true success is only in obeying Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.

🌟 GROW YOUR BEARD – IT’S A COMMAND FROM ALLAH 🌟
📜 The Prophet ﷺ said:
"My Lord has commanded me to grow my beard and trim my moustache."
“Inna Rabbī amaranī an uʿfīya liḥyatī wa an uqassira shāribī”
🟢 [Authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani – Silsilah Saheehah #1080]
This is not a mere Sunnah – it’s a command from Allah.
Letting the beard grow is wājib (obligatory). Shaving or shaping it like fashion models is harām.
✅ HOW THE EARLIER PREDECESSORS KEPT THEIR BEARDS:
📌 1. Natural growth:
They let their beards grow freely, without cutting or shaping it to imitate the kuffār.
📌 2. Trim the moustache only:
Trimming the moustache short (not shaving it off completely) – as the Prophet ﷺ and his companions did.
🚫 NOT PERMISSIBLE:
❌ Shaving the beard
❌ Lining or shaping the beard like celebrities
❌ Keeping a goatee or designer beard
❌ Trimming below the jawline to make it "neat"
❌ Saying “just a Sunnah” and ignoring it
✅ PERMISSIBLE:
🔹 Letting the beard grow naturally
🔹 Trimming only if it exceeds excessive length (e.g. longer than a fist) – based on Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah
🔹 Keeping the moustache short
🗣️ Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه said:
“The Prophet ﷺ ordered us to trim the moustache and leave the beard.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari #5892]
🔥 Ibn Hazm رحمه الله said:
“It is ijmāʿ (consensus) that shaving the beard is mutilation and harām.”
🚨 Reminder:
📢 Growing the beard isn’t about looking “religious” — it’s obedience to Allah’s command.
“And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has truly succeeded…”
[Surah An-Nur 24:52]
🛑 Stop following trends.
🟢 Follow Muhammad ﷺ and the way of the earlier predecessors.
🕋 Beards are Sunnah. Shaving is sin. Styling is imitation.
✊🏼 Be proud of the Sunnah!
📝 Share and revive the Sunnah

"Seek the Truth with Evidence – Not Blind Following"
It is an obligation upon every Muslim to learn their religion from the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, with the understanding of the Salaf-us-Saalih. We are not permitted to follow anyone blindly in religious matters, especially when we have access to clear guidance.
🔹 Allah says:
"And follow not that of which you have no knowledge. Verily, the hearing, the sight, and the heart – all of those shall be questioned."
[Surah Al-Isra (17): 36]
This verse is a clear prohibition against blind following without knowledge and evidence.
🔹 Allah warns about misguidance and shirk due to blind following:
"When it is said to them, 'Follow what Allah has revealed,' they say, 'Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers upon.' Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?"
[Surah Al-Baqarah (2): 170]
This was the excuse of the Mushrikeen, following traditions blindly without evidence.
🔹 The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever introduces into this matter of ours (i.e., Islam) that which is not from it, it will be rejected.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari #2697, Sahih Muslim #1718]
This hadith is a foundation in rejecting all bidʿah (innovations), no matter how good they may seem.
🔹 Allah commands us to refer back to the people of knowledge:
"So ask the people of knowledge if you do not know."
[Surah An-Nahl (16): 43]
Who are the people of knowledge? They are the upright scholars upon the way of the Salaf, not those known for innovations or desires.
🔹 The Prophet ﷺ said:
“...The Jews split into 71 sects, the Christians into 72, and my Ummah will split into 73 sects – all of them in the Fire except one.”
They asked: “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He said:
“Those who are upon what I and my Companions are upon today.”
[Sunan At-Tirmidhi #2641, authenticated by Al-Albani in Silsilah as-Saheehah #203]
So, the saved sect is the one who adheres strictly to the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the understanding and practice of the Companions – the Salaf.
🔹 Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
"The correct understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah is not possible except through the understanding of the Salaf of this Ummah."
[Majmooʿ al-Fatāwā 3/157]
🔹 Ibn Sirīn رحمه الله said:
"Indeed, this knowledge is religion, so look to whom you take your religion from."
[Muqaddimah Sahih Muslim, narration from Ibn Sīrīn]
So taking knowledge from those involved in bidʿah and misguidance is dangerous, and can lead a person into shirk and innovation unknowingly, dragging others with them.
🔹 Abdullah ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه said:
"Follow and do not innovate, for you have been sufficed. Every innovation is misguidance."
[Reported in Ad-Dārimī, 211. Authentic according to Al-Albānī]
Conclusion:
Let us not deceive ourselves by saying, "Allah will understand," while knowingly neglecting the path of truth. The religion is complete, and Allah has guided us with a clear path.
"This day I have perfected for you your religion, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion."
[Surah Al-Mā’idah (5): 3]
So, we ask Allah:
اللهم أرنا الحق حقاً وارزقنا اتباعه، وأرنا الباطل باطلاً وارزقنا اجتنابه
"O Allah, show us the truth as truth and grant us the ability to follow it, and show us falsehood as falsehood and grant us the ability to avoid it."
Allāhul-Mustaʿān.

It was once said to Imam Ahmad:
“If a man fasts, prays, and makes 'Itikaf, is that more beloved to you or that he speaks out against Ahlul bid'ah (the people of innovation)?”
He replied: “If he fasts and prays and makes 'Itikaf, then that is for himself, but if he speaks out against the people of innovation, this is for the Muslims. This is better.”
