I’ve been wanting to redesign her forever now (her original design didn’t scream “rune factory” to me, it was way too simple imo), but I kept putting it off because it felt like a waste with how many commissions I’ve gotten already dkjfhdkj BUT I DID IT ANYWAY! Maybe I’ll call it a timeskip design to make myself feel better, but I think it looks a bit more rf-esque now while keeping the feeling of the original design!

An Apology and a Thank You

Hello! I’ve been thinking of writing this for a while, but it took some time to finally come up with the right words. I’m putting this under the “Read more” as it got pretty long ^ ^;

Some of you may remember me as emily-huang-yirf! I was a very active member of the You in RF meme until late 2016, mostly using 4 characters.

However.... in 2016, I was on this site an unhealthy amount and it worsened my mental health (some people I followed contributed to that but not anybody from YiRF! No worries there). I had behaved badly, posting things I can’t believe I would have said/agree with, and seriously regret now (some things can only be described with yikes). In the end, I’d went from being quite active, to leaving You in RF without a word.

People had worried about me and asked if I was okay, and now, I can’t believe I had done all those things! So for that I want to apologize for my toxic behaviour. The way I had acted was inexcusable, and I wish I hadn’t caused so much worry... It was wrong of me to act in such ways that would hurt people and cause distress. You in RF is a group full of positivity, love and fun! What I had caused shouldn’t have appeared in such a group, and I regret that. I’ve been doing my best to become a better/more positive person since then.

Also, it may have been a long time since I was actively in the community, but I hope you’re all doing well and that you’re still having fun creating!

As for the second part of this post: Thank you!

It means a lot to me to know that people enjoyed my characters and art even back then. It made me really happy both with that and seeing You in RF active. You all are amazing! This group was so much fun and I adored seeing everyone’s characters, and I just loved this tight-knit community. It makes me happy just remembering it! <3

I still use my characters, and if it wasn’t for the You in RF meme and the people in it, my characters and stories would likely be wildly different... But, I’m super happy with what I do have and I hope to create more fun stuff as time goes on!

So really, thank you for the good times and everything! <333
