Funny how before the anti-trans policies were put in place, I never saw headlines about trans women attacking women in bathrooms. Since they’ve passed I’ve now read 3 news reports about cis men threatening cis women in toilets thinking that they’re trans women.

These men are not protecting women, they’re threatening them.

If a trans woman isn’t allowed in a bathroom, why is a cis man allowed to go in and monitor the place?

1950’s Georgian Record USSR Era Bone Vinyl

A short history on bone vinyl for those unaware: in the 50’s most music, especially western music, was banned in Russia. People of the street markets soon discovered many old X-Rays being discarded, and afterwards learned you could lathe cut records onto them.

The by-product would be an extremely flimsy one-sided 78 record, and the center label hole would usually be created by the cherry of a smoking cigarette. There are documentaries available online, and a lot of fakes for sale as well. Today we digitize one that has been in our collection for over a year now, and was sent to us from Dusheti, Georgia. For those curious, I included just how far this brittle record travelled, to arrive intact in Chattanooga, TN.

‘Retromanstore2019” is a reputable source for an authentic bone vinyl if you ever find yourself on the market. Ours arrived in a postage decorated with gorgeous stamps, wish we had not ripped through them in haste to see the record inside. Included are some photos of the stamps and a link of the song below, enjoy an old Georgian Folk song from the mid 1900’s.
