Gonna say it. Goth Gerry isn’t canon. Metalhead Gerry is canon. He’s regularly described as goth by people giving statements, but this is England we’re talking about. Anyone who wears black is either an emo or a goth in the eyes of the public. The only descriptions were ever given for him are that he has long black hair, band shirts, tattoos, and sometimes a leather trench coat (unfortunate choice but I forgive him). Nothing about face paint or anything goth. On top of that, the first time he’s ever mentioned he’s explicitly said to be listening to death metal. This is much more difficult to confuse, even for an English dude, and even if it’s not specifically death metal it’s probably some metal genre. Anyways he doesn’t listen to Bauhaus he listens to Aborted and Cannibal Corpse. Thank you for your time.

Hello and welcome to the 2025 Disability Pride Month Fanart Contest! To celebrate disability pride this month, I am hosting a fanart contest where you can submit drawings or written works featuring disabled characters from my webcomics or fanfictions. I really like to write disabled characters; my specialty is mentally ill and neurodivergent characters, but I love to write physically disabled characters too and plan to expand my cast of them as I continue to create comics. This month, I want to celebrate these characters, as a way to also celebrate my readers with disabilities!

CONTEST RULES 1. The fanwork must include at least one character from my webcomics (or fanfiction) who is canonically disabled. 2. Submissions must be SFW. NSFW submissions may get you blocked from this account. 3. Submission must be disability-centric in some way and should allude to disability pride. Normal, non disability-centric submissions will not qualify. 4. No insensitive, bigoted, or ableist content. I have the right to determine what might be ableist and reject any submission that breaks this rule. 5. NO HEADCANONS. Characters must be depicted with their canon disabilities! A list of all this information is provided below. 6. Limited to two submissions per person. 7. Please try to depict the characters’ designs as accurately as possible. Any submission that breaks a rule will be DISQUALIFIED from the contest.

“Ah sorry I’m just dumb” (having ADHD my whole life has meant that I’ve been criticised heavily for making mistakes that come part and parcel with the condition. Even the people I love most in the world have chastised me for mistakes that I spend much of my life worrying about and trying to avoid. It’s much easier to tell you I’m just a silly guy than explain to you that no matter how much effort, how much thought, how much stress I put into avoiding these same mistakes, I will keep making them over and over again. My brain is structurally built to thwart me throughout it all.)
