I cast several before finally finding, "the one", baby grape leaf. Then molded the silver leaf casting so I could make the same one over and over to create this necklace. Each one is carefully soldered and finished to a polished surface. My ADHD personality thrives in a structured environment and metal smithing classes provide that for me.🧠It’s been a year since I’ve taken an actual class and I’m so excited to work with my new teacher.⛓For all those artists out there who are self-taught, you inspire me. I wish I had that type of focus but having a scheduled time helps me learn and progress my skills.🪚I’m currently working on pretty simple pieces but I met with my professor to go over the techniques I want to learn this semester and further my skills. I can’t wait to make more complicated pieces. Grateful to @accjewelry for their affordable program and accessibility. I will currently continue to work with brass.
