I have no idea if the Ghosts fandom is alive on here, but here is Stephanie! I'm currently drawing a handful of characters more accurately to how they died because the show really does lack on getting more bloody when it needs to.

Details: Blood splatter on her dress and face are from her prom date. She has tear marks down her cheeks (*and running mascara. Also, her eyes are a little red around the edges if you zoom in). Dirt on her arms and dress from trying to running away.

Why I’m on the tiny rowboat of people who ship Flower/Thorfinn:

I tend to ship people who have a lot of complementary differences but a few surprising core similarities. So on the surface Flower and Thor are polar opposites. He’s the Viking whose life was devoted to war while she’s a peace-loving hippie. He’s all about tradition and honor while she’s driven by instinct and impulse. He’s sharper and more aware of his surroundings than she is (who isn’t?!) but she understands a lot more about how to sensitively deal with people.

What I also love, though, is that they have commonalities that enable them to understand each other. Both are bold and fearless when it comes to seeking out adventures BUT fearful of being emotionally vulnerable. Both are sociable people who enjoyed being parts of groups (his army, her commune and cults!) but find it a lot harder to form meaningful individual connections. Both died wondering if they had devoted most of their lives to ideals and purposes that failed to fulfill them ultimately—his beloved fellow Vikings ended up abandoning him, and she didn’t quite find what she was searching for in the cult while also feeling like she’d often betrayed her hippie ideals.

I don’t know, these two are just strangely touching and highly amusing to me, and I think they’re genuinely good for each other. Plus, the writers give us so little of them that I never run the risk of getting tired of them :)

ADELIA ROWE

An abolitionist turned disguised Union cavalry soldier, Adelia met her death after succumbing to an infected gunshot wound from a small-scale battle against Confederate sympathizers broke out on the land that would become the Woodstone property. In death she’s accompanied by her devotedly loyal stallion, Freedom, who was shot down during the battle.

Adelia is of about medium height, with short, scruffy hair cut into a masculine look. She has a fair complexion with freckles on her face, along with a few scars and gunpowder residue on the corner of her mouth. Her eyes are a deep brown with darkened circles underneath them, smudges of dirt and gunpowder littered across her skin. She still wears her cavalry uniform with deep blue fabric, a bloody wound beneath the right side of her ribcage wrapped half-heartedly with white bandages beneath her undershirt. She has her saber hoisted on her belt with bronze shoulder guards to protect from saber slashes, her pants and boots muddied from the earth.

In life, Adelia was nothing short of passionate and headstrong. A fierce abolitionist, she was raised in a relatively wealthy household in Upstate New York, and for a woman of her time she was well-read and intelligent, as well as athletic with a deep love for horses since her family bred racehorses. She knew and read about the injustices occurring in the South with the cruel system of slavery, and sought to be a factor in it’s eventual destruction - but was held back by her social status and gender. But once the Civil War broke out, Adelia made the choice to disguise herself and leave her family behind to join the Union Army, believing the war was the final turning point in dismantling slavery once and for all.

To her unit she was known as Sargent Adam Rowe, a fierce fighter with a deep loyalty to his fellow soldiers. And although Adelia would live to see the Emancipation Proclamation, she wouldn’t live to see the final takedown of slavery, dying in March of 1864 at the age of 23, making her the fourth oldest ghost.

Adelia’s ghost power is similar to Pete’s, as she can also go past the ghost boundary - but only if she’s riding Freedom. If they’re off the property for too long, however, it can physically harm the both of them.

As for how she fits in the bigger ghost group, Adelia can come off as blunt and sarcastic, but she’s a passionate and genuine person once you get past the tough outer shell she’s built up from centuries of being a ghost. And while the other ghosts of Woodstone can get under her nerves, she’s definitely grateful to not have to spend her afterlife completely alone - and she’s even managed to find love in a particular punk ghost on the property.

i honestly love her so far! though i definitely think there’s gonna be conflict between her and sam [since it’s implied the halloween episode is gonna be patience putting sam on trial for witchcraft presumably because she can see ghosts] but i think once that’s cleared up, she’ll be a very silly addition to the woodstone gang. the final scene of the episode was so damn funny- like give the girl some slack she was alone for over 100 years she’s catching up with social cues 💀

i have lots of oc ideas in the brain, but i have no idea which one i wanna focus on developing the most so i figured i’d throw them out here to see which one of them y’all are interested in the most :]

so far i’ve got:

a navy pilot who crashed his jet on the edge of the property in the 90s

a female civil war cavalry soldier who died with her horse

an actress from the early 50s who’s like marylin monroe in a slightly different font

a teen ghost who was murdered by her biological father in the late 90s

a child ghost who was strangled to death by her biological mother in the 2000s

She travelled all the way from Scotland to attend a small convention that just so happened to be hosted at Woodstone b&b.

She also took the opportunity to meet up with her long distance online friends, but what she didn't know is that they had lured her there so they could kill her.
