SO guess what? The protag in Ebon Light is now customizable. There are a few restrictions.. like her body type, face, general hair length aren’t customizable for a couple different reasons, but! You definitely have more options with her now!

A big thanks to everyone who has tried the first demo of Hocus Pocus Prince and shared your thoughts! We’ve been wowed by the support for the game so far, and everyone’s feedback has been extremely helpful.

Some updates and clarifications

Some of you have noticed that the first demo ends before the curse is revealed. This is because we are planning to hold a contest for people to guess the cursed forms of each boy (and win free copies of their route). Please look forward to the start of the contest next week!

A second demo that previews the first chapter of each route (and reveals all the cursed forms) will be released sometime after the contest.

Based on the feedback we’ve received so far, it looks like we will release each route separately (for mobile and maybe also PC), and then also compile all routes into a full game (for PC only?).

The route release order will most likely be Vincent, Orion, then Ace. These routes are completely unique, standalone stories that you can play in any order you like.

If these first three routes do well, there are several more routes we are considering adding (including a GxG route).

Hello everyone! The time is almost here. In a few hours, I will hit that publish button, and Cursed Sight will at last be launched onto Steam. By the time you read this, the game might already be out:

I don’t recall being this nervous with my previous game launches. It makes sense, I guess. More money spent than ever. More words thrown in than ever before (not to say quantity means quality, far, far from it). Probably with the most number of hours clocked in, too.

You know, I need to fess up about something. Cursed Sight went through a good 5-6 rounds of editing, and I stared at every word vigorously during the final pass. Yet, last week, someone raised that I have a missing quotation mark in the first screenshot. That broke my heart into pieces.

Actually, the issue was already fixed in the game, but I have neglected to update the image. Once the game launches, I bet players might spot a few more oversights. When it happens, I will embrace all of them. I am hitting this release button without any regrets. Perhaps I should have kept quiet about this for good PR or something, but let’s keep things real around here.

After over a year in limbo, Winged Cloud abruptly announced today that The Guardian’s Spell has been cancelled. This afternoon, the following message appeared on the Kickstarter page for The Guardian’s Spell:

“We’re refunding everyone who backed this campaign. The refund process will take roughly 2-4 weeks. The project is now closed.”

HUGE UPDATE TODAY!

Otomate slightly changed the homepage of the official Hakuouki Shinkai website by adding Iba, Sakamoto, and Souma. And their character bios were also updated to show their voice actors.

The gallery uploaded another Iba cg with Chizuru.

And the second wave of new characters (Takeda Kanryuusai, Miki Saburou, Motoyama Kotarou, Nomura Risaburou, and Nakaoka Shintarou) finally have bios on the site, but their voice actors are yet to be announced.

Camera Anima Demo Up! (available on all desktop platforms)

After months of work and a showing at GDXEdmonton, vn demo I’ve been working on is finally up for download here~

This was originally created as a sort of ‘portfolio’ game to showcase my abilities both as a writer and a game developer. The final result ended up becoming more of a demo of a concept of a point-and-click adventure game involving twin sisters, a serial killing automaton who takes people’s souls, and a child’s song:

   "One, two, the bell tolls late   “Three, four, don’t forget your Face   “Five, six, don’t stay out late   "Seven, eight, don’t meet his face   "Nine, ten, never wake again”

This demo includes:

A story and a exploration segment. The story segment is more about the world, characters, and context. The exploration segment presents a puzzle and a level to explore.

Ten-to-fifteen minutes worth of gameplay, if both segments are completed.

One bad ending

If this demo is expanded into a full game, parts will differ.
