Snape is all nose and no ass so he wears those heavy billowing capes as a counterweight unless he falls over. Hope that helps.

i'd like to add a reminder that the classic fairytales from the Brothers Grimms and Hans Christan Andersen originally were much more cruel and gory than our modern versions are. this does not mean our modern, kid-friendly versions are invalid. though they might be based on something else, these "modern" versions are valid and real in their own right.
Now let's consider a story made up by someone who read HP and which depicts the same characters and world. contrary to the fairytales, this work is not even a new rendition, it's a completely new story, it just uses the same characters. this means we now have two separate stories, which does not by any means invalidates the original work nor the new one. they're two different works and they need to be treated as such.
Normalize not shipping snape x Hermione or Harry or literally any minor
Any adult x minor ship in general is weird even if it is just fiction because it makes people feel as though it may be okay- like imagine a child who just got a phone and has no idea how dangerous the internet is seeing fictional relationships with adults and children and thinking it’s normal- them not being worried when adults start being weird with them because it’s such a popular idea
As a minor in the Harry Potter fandom you all disgust me
Fiction affects reality and this shouldn’t be a debate- it’s a fact

@snapedomanonymous honestly i dont think harry is jake; harry is much more whiney than jake while at the same time jakes much more child-like, mind you, not childish, child-like.. jake really thinks hes the main character and wants to be that, while harry knows he is the main character and claims he hates being that. also, i think that when jake throws himself into danger he doesnt really think about how dangerous it is, but about saving person x. of course he also cares about looking cool while doing so, but i believe that is not his priority for putting himself in danger in the first place. harry, in true gryff fashion, also doesnt think about the danger, but about saving someone. however, afterwards he does use that danger to legitimise him being involved in everything else, too, while yelling at his friends
so basically while harry is a literal teenager, having responsibilities even adults shouldnt have, and jake is a fully grown adult, acting like a child, i think in the end jake is more selfless than harry
...but also vibes bro
okay but listen:

Does anyone else think that Rowling has drawn a lot of inspiration from Emily Bronte's Heathcliff for Snape's character?
Heathcliff loved Cathy in an obsessive way. Snape loved Lily. In both cases they were childhood friends, for a time it was them against the world and she was the one who saw goodness in him despite his pride and spite.
In both cases the girl’s sibling loathed the boy and the feelings were returned tenfold.
Heathcliff was discriminated because he was part gypsy, Snape lived in a Muggle community and under the roof of a father who hated magic and seems to have been abusive towards his mother.
Both characters have strong antagonism with a rich guy their age who has more prospects and who ends up marrying the girl.
Both characters are hateful towards the next generation and they eventually kind of care but not enough to put their pride aside.

Gryffindor: Do you even lift, bro?
Hufflepuff: Do I even- heck yeah I lift! I lift your spirits! How have you been? Everything okay? I miss you; let’s grab lunch sometime. I was thinking of you the other day and got you these cookies.

few things about Severus Snape
1- He was one of the few teachers to never put a student in mortal danger.
2- He walked in a “twitchy manner” as a teenager
3- His patronus was of a different gender than him (i wanna say he’s the only character that has that but i’m not sure)
4- Hermione noted that he had feminine handwriting as a student
5- he resembled his mother, but got his hooked nose from his father
6- he’s the only character depicted wearing womens clothing (twice)
7- Unlike slughorn, he always pointed out his students mistakes and how to correct them (admittedly rather rudely)
8- Throughout the series, we’ve never seen him laugh.ever.
9- if Voldemort was really the best legilimen in the world, then Severus is the best occlumen in the world
10- Aside from Voldemort, he was the only other character capable of unsupported flight
11- In the first book, he was the only teacher who noticed that harrys broom was being cursed and did something about it
12- He was obviously good with riddles, both solving and writing them. and apparently making them rhyme (idk how significant  this is but it amuses me)
13- He was suicidal after lilys death (perhaps even before it, the man didn’t exactly have a good life)

on today's episode of incorrect Severus Snape quotes:
“Use a health potion, for god’s sake! You have like, five hundred of the things!” “But they’re expensive!” “IT’S THE FINAL BATTLE! USE ONE BEFORE I CRAM IT DOWN YOUR THROAT!”
