I've been procrastinating way too much with all this comic-making and stuff. I actually have a lot of ideas in mind, but the more complex ones, like this, take me maybe two weeks at best, and only if I actually focus (which almost never happens). I have trouble starting one project and getting another going at the same time hehe.

I've been trying to learn more about character design and animation, so I've kind of neglected my Lackadaisy comics. Hopefully I'll get back into the groove, but I can't promise anything soon.

I don't imagine Jack is at that point where he feels comfortable enough taking the lords name in vain so i changed it from ''oh my gosh'' to ''oh no'', a little background fun fact for you.

Thank you so much to @lackadaisycats for drawing my boy Åse!

It was part of my patreon reward, and was absolutely worth it even if i had to ship it all the way over here lol (i have no regrets!). I asked for Åse leaning casually against a runestone.

I posted a few different pics to show my process in editing it. I started with scanning it then i fixed the lines with the the usharp mask option and a color filter to make them more visible. Then i colored it and shaded with the line layer on top as a multiply layer.

The runes on the rock are elder futhark runes and spell out ''jeg aasfri skrev denne runeskriften'' or: i Åsfri wrote these runes. its a reference to the first iteration of Åse's character who was named Åsfri and lived in medieval scandinavia. The idea for the rock itself is inspired by various old runestones that still exist today specifically the Einang Stone which is a stone that was found in Oppland which is the county Åse grew up in.

I got it a while ago i just wanted to scan it properly before i posted it here haha. luckily i got to borrow one.
