ACF Game Night (9/26) @ 7:00pm
Howdy!
Phew, the school year is now in full swing.
Come take a break from work on Friday evening and come to ACF Game Night! We'll be starting at 7:00pm in CMU Margaret Morrison 119.
Game Night is a time where we can bond with each other over games as our competitive streaks get fired up. There'll be group games (so everyone can get to know each other in a semi-non-awkward setting) and later board games.
Invite your friends! If you have a really awesome game you want to share, bring that too!
Hope to see you there :) Herman

Sharing Night Friday (5/2) 7pm, Danforth Lounge
Sharing Night is a chance for us all to gather and share what God has been doing / is doing in our lives recently. This is a time to encourage one another with the feats of God. Some guidelines for sharing (remember your ABC's) Please keep your sharing: A - Audible B - Brief C - Christ Centered Audible. We will have a microphone for you to use. Please use it. The simple fact of the matter is that it's easier to understand what someone is saying when they use a microphone. Please also speak clearly. Brief. Aim for around five minutes. This time is dedicated with sharing God's work but Sharing Night is probably not the best place to share your entire testimony. That is not to say we don't want to hear your testimony, only that there are perhaps better times / places for that sort of saga to take place (and yes, I think your testimony is a saga). This should not be the only time you talk to your peers about what God is doing in your life. All in all, we want to allow those who want to share the opportunity and ask that you would try you best to be succinct. Christ Centered. Above all, we ask that your sharing be Christ centered. This night is about God's transforming power in our lives and is truly about his victory over what we have done. Our God is a personal God and it is not that you should be giving a clinical proclamation, but as Christians, Christ should be at the center or our lives and hopefully we can reflect that in what we say.

Gospel Sharing Saturday (4/19) 3:30pm-5:30pm @ DH A302
This Saturday ACF is hosting a Gospel Sharing event. This will include a presentation of the complete Gospel, that is, the truth around which we base our lives.
There will also be performances and guest speakers answering questions of the form “Why do we...” where “we” means Christians. Refreshments will be provided.
If you are curious about learning more about our beliefs, and how that fits into the way we live our lives I would encourage you to attend.
This is also a great event to bring friends to. Hopefully this afternoon will be a time of learning and discussion in a way that is open and non-threatening.
Gospel Sharing Saturday
April 19
3:30-5:30pm
DH A302
If you can’t attend, please pray for hearts to be open and that those speaking would speak the truth in love :)

Newcomer's Dinner (4/25) 9:30, UC Danforth
Every year, the Ministry Team (leadership) meets with freshmen and newcomers to receive some honest feedback about the fellowship. We call this Newcomer’s Dinner and  this year it will be:
April 25th
in UC Danforth
after Prayer and Praise Night (probably around 9:30pm).
There’ll be pizza, but to ensure we order an adequate amount, please fill out the Newcomer’s Dinner Survey. If you can’t make it to the dinner but still have feedback to give us you can also include it on this form.
We hope this can be a low-key time to candidly look back on this year in our fellowship and see how we can continue to grow both as individuals and as a body.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the event.

This week is our last “regular” Bible study of the semester / school year. Hard to believe right?? This week’s topic is “Heaven.” Gordon will be leading us through a variety of passages that talk about this eternal sanctuary as well as try to answer the questions you (or I) have regarding this topic. So come with questions.
  Friday (4/4)
7pm
DH 2210
Also there will be NO Large Group next week, due to CMU Spring Carnival. Spend the time with friends and family!
Here’s the schedule for the rest of the semester
April 4th    - Final Bible Study Large Group, DH 2210
April 11th  - No Large Group, CMU Spring Carnival
April 18th  - No Large Group, Good Friday*
April 25th  - Prayer and Praise Night, UC Rangos 3
May 2nd    - Sharing Night, UC Danforth
  * We’ll be taking a bus to PCC for Good Friday Service, stay tuned for more information about that
  -------
Also, T-shirts are here! We’ll be selling them at $10 each (along with previous years’ shirts) before and after Large Group. If you wish to purchase your shirt before Large Group, please come at least ten minutes early. We don’t want this to interfere with the time set aside for worship / the message so we’ll be concluding sales a bit before 7 so we can start on time. But we’ll be selling shirts after Large group as well. If you’re out of town this week, or unable to purchase, just find me on campus after Friday and I can get one to you.
