The dog characters And I’ll gift them a shepherd. A master ; someone who will fasten a tight collar around their necks, one they’ll learn to love. Someone who will tug on their leash and cast them into the darkest corners of their cages when they disobey. Someone who will use them ; shield and weapon in one.

The rabbit characters And I’ll gift them a gentle hand. A mouth that kisses—and sometimes bites—and they won’t know whether they want more or not. They believe their soft fur keeps bad people and worse desires at bay. They think they can run fast, But I’ll gift them an even faster predator.

The deer characters And I’ll gift them a hunter. A priest. Someone whose life depends on them ; obsessed, eager to fill his mouth with their flesh and blood, yet just as eager to pet their skin. Someone who will worship them like a god they don’t know whether to love or fear.

The stallion character And I’ll gift them a rider. Someone to tame them, train them, make them strong and beautiful. A leader, The one who will break them. Brand them deep in their core. Someone who works in shadow, ready to make a champion of them.
