With the walks thus concluded for the year, it's time for the fun little pop-up events the rest of the year. :3c

I present to you:

Papa Desaali's Fishapalooza

Seeing as Moogle Tome events include Ocean Fishing as an option now, and I am an avid part of Fisher Nation, I wanted to do something fun for this tome event!

Nhev'ra (Ki'to's father, and Fisher by trade) will be hosting a 'come and go as you please' fishing event from July 8th until Patch 7.3! (So, the whole of the tome event)

We'll be catching the boat every 2 hours, and doing content, chatting, and overall having a good time in-between!

There will be a Cross-World Linkshell (hosted on Crystal) provided for ease of setting up groups and calling out to one another even if I'm not online to organize myself!

Simply DM me or /tell Ki'to Vashai for an invite! All you'll have to do is pop in to a world on Crystal to get it!

You may also use this as a way to find friends to run any other tome content with! Like running Prae for the 1000000000000000000th time.

Content is always much more fun with friends anyway.

Want to come along on the Endeavor, but don't know where to start?

Whether you're new to fishing, or have leveled it for a spell, Ocean Fishing is easy to start and a wonderful way to level your job! I mean it, I've gone from like level 10 to 25 in one trip before.

All you'll need to do if you haven't picked up Fisher, is go talk to Sisipu in the Fisherman's Guild in Limsa, and complete the quest My First Fishing Rod.

After that, a blue quest should appear above Fhilsnoe's head (in the same building) called All the Fish in the Sea. Take that, and head on down to the Arcanist's Guild Aethernet and swing a left down to the docks!

Once you speak with Foerzagyl, you'll be able to access Ocean Fishing every 2 hours by speaking with Dryskthota!

We will be running the Indigo Route so all folks may attend, and there will be bait callouts so you don't need to think! Just bring a good handful of each and you'll be right as rain!

I will also be providing Gathering & Perception Snacks for those who need them, just find me before the boat leaves!

For this very first Dawntrail walk I had so much fun chatting and walking with everyone, there was such a great turnout and so many familiar faces! TY to Ki'to as always for hosting such a fun event, I'll be looking forward to it for next year as well! Here's all my walking photos, I tried to really capture the feeling of the journey this time.

First off, our Dawntrail walk will be starting on Zurvan, Materia at the courtyard of Vollok Shoonsa in Tuliyollal.

I will be waiting here a half hour beforehand, so if you'd like to show up early, you're welcome to!

Upon arrival, please come to see Ki'to Vashai and send me a trade. I'll hand over the snacks for tonight's break spots, and you can chill until we depart!

I try to give a bit of wiggle room for people who might be running late, but we will be leaving no later than 8:10 (unless something comes up that requires an extension, such as a last-minute relocation due to congestion)

If you happen to arrive any later, please send a /tell to Ki'to Vashai and I will send you our current coordinates! Just note that we will still be moving, so you'll have to catch up! Unless we're at a rest area, of course.

Speaking of, our rest areas tonight will be at Wachunpelo, Mehwahhetsoan, and the Arcadion. Each rest area will allow everyone a 10 minute break to hydrate, visit the bathroom, or just chat amongst one another!

#as a note tho:#if you haven't ever logged in to Materia#you have to go to the DC menu screen#and pick Materia as a data center#then after the game connects you to the DC for the first time#(when you make it to the character selection screen for that DC)#*then* you can back out back to your character#and have them travel to Materia#I learned this just a little bit ago#so maybe it's old news#but I can't be the only person who didn't know this ^^'

@zylphiacrowley Thank you for bringing this up! I was in the middle of getting screenshots for this when I saw the notification!

As mentioned above, you will see this upon trying to DC travel to Materia without the requisite DC ping

All you need to do is select Materia from your Data Center list (accessed from the main title screen)

Once you ping the server in this manner and back out to your home server, you should be able to travel to OCE no problem!

We'll be meeting up on July 5th at 8pm EST over on Zurvan, Materia at the courtyard of Vollok Shoonsa in Tuliyollal! From there we shall retrace the steps of the Rite of Succession through Yok Tural before headed north to Xak Tural!

We're hoping the move to Materia/OCE will allow even more friends to join us on our first trip through Tural. So if you're one of our EU or JP friends, and have been wanting to join in, we would love to have you!
