Synopsis - Shenanigans and a collection of hcs from the au where you are on a ghost hunting team with them

Dan Heng

Protector of the group with a lot of supernatural protections in his bag, he takes his job so seriously as the person in charge for everyones safety that he keeps an eye on all of the members of the group

He will physically drag you by your arm if he thinks it's not safe anymore for you in a room, but he'd definitely try to keep you close to him if you both go back in because he knows that you're too stubborn for your own good

Likes to keep a hand on you physically for his own peace of mind but instead he stays close by while carrying equipment in case it gets out of hand, he likes knowing that you're safe and that he's with you

Definitely will call you dear if yall are instead dealing with a fae infestation and he'd want you to call him Teal if the situation arises

He's great with identifying spirits and stuff based on details but he sucks at remembering to openly tell the group so you gotta remind him at some point to talk about his findings if he notices something

Overall just a great addition with added benefits of being great at the job honestly

Boothill -

He's quick to draw a weapon if it's just you two, he will try to use a physical gun on a spectral ghost and he wouldn't have any regrets about it until afterwards when you're scolding him

Definitely starts off sceptic like but then turns out he's scared of a ghost- which you lightly tease about while he lightly teases that you're shorter than him

But he's great with the equipment and is quick to do something if things go south, he's ready to grab you and others and leave if he has a bad feeling about a room because his 'feeling' is usually right

Constantly and I mean constantly has a hand on your back to help with his fears, he likes knowing you're nearby if something happens so he's not panicking trying to find you

Boothill doesn't believe fae exists or any other creatures exists beside Ghosts and Demons and that's because of the wild west legends talking about ghost towns and deals with the devil

Will not admit he's scared verbally though but you know because of how he hides his face in your hair

Aventurine

Life is a gamble and so is this job of yall, especially since he's definitely been claimed by an entity as their own and his sister follows him around as a ghost to keep him safe so he's well-versed in it

He likes to take chances on his safety but not yours, oh dear heavens imagine how much pain he'd be in if something happened to you because he made a bad call- so he volunteers before making any final decisions

He likes the danger but when it's you two, he's staying nearby and has his coin in his fingers as a stress relief for his nerves but that doesn't mean he won't grab you by your waist and book it if something feels off

Definitely believes other being exists I mean he's seen some shit growing up so he knows the signs of certain hauntings and will be smug about it like a cat

He will tease a ghost if it's just him in a room and you're hearing him call the ghost a little bitch for not showing itself to him like prime Shane Madej energy right here

Aventurine calls you his lucky love whenever they need codenames but overtime he calls you more nicknames to confuse entities like a lil shit he is

Jing Yuan -

The KING of calm in a situation with entities, he's definitely been around a lot of entities cuz of his old group of friends so he knows how to handle himself and also keep other people safe if it comes down to it

Genuinely he does keep an eye on you but trusts you enough to not get in danger, and if you are then he's right behind you to keep you safe. He will stay around to ensure everyones safety before he actually confronts whatever is going on

Has great strategies for things like Demons or the fae but also he will step in to stop the rest of the team from doing something to hurt themselves, he's great with being a figure with authority

Entities definitely recognize his aura so they kinda start to lessen their haunts to try to escape his gaze but he's already hunting them

Calls you dove when around the fae to ensure your safety but also will cover your mouth with his hand if you object because it's better to be safe than sorry

He's such a caretaker too he has snacks and water ready for the others and for you and also headache medicine if it gets really bad

Veritas Ratio -

This man doesn't believe this shit is real but damn he likes to watch it happen from the sidelines, he's there to entertain your notion of ghosts existing in a house but the facts remain that there's no way they do

Definitely like a Shane Madej from Buzzfeed Unsolved, he can't be convinced they exist even if everyone else saw something similar. Group hallucination to the dust over the years

He would get in debates about others if they talk about the signs of a haunting, so he's kinda the grounding person for people who think too much

Will act as a wall though if they encounter something with more of a form, just because he doesn't believe it exists doesn't mean he won't try to help you in some way

Actively tries to provoke the ghost to prove to you they don't exist, straight up will tell a ghost to follow him home to if they exist.

Ratio does somewhat believe in evidence though but first you have to debate with him on the logic behind the said evidence and you'd be there all damn night

Tighnari -

He's done his research into the occult so he knows a lot and does believe they exist to an extent because of the effects a haunting has on house plants of all sorts and sizes so it's not like he's not aware of it

When it does happen he's usually paired up with you because he knows you'd be a great assistant to him getting evidence on EMFs and setting up ghost traps

Comes prepared and will grab you and run if he thinks it's getting too dangerous for both of you, but it's not like he's backing away without some form of a fight

This man and his equipment is so complex and he talks about it as if it's normal for a doll to record a ghosts signature using the spirit box for an average experience

He knows stuff about the occult so he does ramble a bit whenever you two are waiting for something happen while also tending to a house plant in the same room, probably out of habit at that point

He's like a Ryan from The Watcher honestly, he believes it exists and won't stand for otherwise so putting him on a team with Ratio is like a worst nightmare ngl

Xiao -

This man is both the haunted and the hunter honestly he has been in the occult scene all of his life so he's got a few ghosts attached to him unfortunately but they like you so you're cool to be around

Is so protective over you specifically honestly, he wants you to be safe because if anything happens to you then he has no hope for himself to make it out of here without losing his mind

He isn't scared of ghosts or anything really so he will stand as your short wall against the entities if something does end up happening, he will kill them again if they tried

He does not like the fae one bit so when they get a job for the fae infestations he straight up doesn't go, good luck trying but he might for your sake

Carries a vial of holy water and a salt bag for if they need to do anything else with any other entities, he knows it's not a lot but he has other fates in mind for them

He's like Dan Heng in that he won't admit something but he will if he thinks they're dragging out the discussion for a long time, this is a job not a social gathering we can have one after this house is cleared like cmon people

Going out for missions is a competition on who's waking up, if it's him then you'd get a text saying not to wait up for him and he loves you but if it's you then it's a cuddle match to see who'd get up first

First one up gets to plan the day but also he'd fall for your tricks with the begging for things so it you'd win it either way though, even if he tries to not look at you

100% it's a tease match between you both but also you copy his talking patterns to tease him but nothing more, like copy his accent or something else

Both of you always have a fun day too, and it's nice that Boothill doesn't take nonsense from others if someone wants to mess up your day by bringing up past pronouns cuz you're the pretty boy to him

He's supportive but you will get teased by the pretty boy nickname

They like the way you talk to them in the baby talk way and they refuse to listen if you don't use that voice for them and Boothill tells you all the time not to spoil them

Takes every chance he can to send you good morning, night, and reminder texts whenever he's out on a job for HQ- he refuses to let the distance get in his way from taking care of you

Border Collie or a German Shephard or both, super fluffy though and has a lot of energy and half the time it drives you up the wall how much energy your boyfriend has oh my gods it's insane but you wouldn't change it for the world

Absolutely loves it when you hold his hand or squish his face, he acts a little hesitant when asked in public but in private please do it or he'd do those sad dog whines

Very attentive to your emotions even when you aren't realizing how it is, he'd make sure you have a bottle of water or something, like he's built to be good at this sorta business but also he's got the canines of a hunter

Also to the attentiveness- he's so aware of things when you're both out in public, he's terrified of losing you all the time in crowds even if you're taller than him. But also he's kinda protective so expect him to keep an eye on you when you're both out and about

He's clingy especially when tired so don't expect to get up at a reasonable time

He'd be the type of partner who gets called by your sibling to come pick them up or whenever they're in a debate with you over a topic like ice cream or the park, but it's because there is a 50/50 chance he'd say yes because it's hard to say no to a kid like that

Definitely an overprotective type, like he wants to protect you from his job as he had a lot of his own enemies which resulted in him giving you his hat before he leaves and grabbing it after he comes back

A big fan of subtle making it known you're his person through making you wear his hat or maybe a matching bandana around you neck, but it's because he doesn't want people to think you're not taken as a man with pride

He doesn't think forcing you is the way to go with love, but he will make you stay at home most of the times because of his own fear that you'll leave him

Tighnari -

He's a royal botanist for the Sumeru empire which means he gets really busy but at the end of the day he would value more than his line of work because he knows he can't be replaced too

Spends a lot of time choosing flowers to put in your hair as a sign of you're taken by him, he gets a lil nervous with the fact that he does have a target on his back but he also doesn't feel rhe need to worry about you leaving him after all this time

He would rather be honest about his feelings more than anything else because he doesn't want to scare you off later in the relationship, nothing scares him more than you leaving him because of his tendencies

If you have suitors then he's happy that he's got fertilizer for the gardens, after all bones are great with making them grow faster

Aventurine -

He's an exiled prince so obviously he doesn't have a lot left to him, living off his own skills at gambling to rise to get revenge and that's when he finds you, oh so perfect you, and he couldn't help but want you to be with him

Definitely more of a manipulative type of yandere, he'd tell you lies about other people that you may get use to or he may tell them to the others because you don't need them if you have him right?

Definitely wants you close to him when he goes out anywhere, like he's showing off that this is his perfect partner and not anyone else's, it makes him so damn happy that he has someone like you by his side

Is not above stooping down to kill another for thinking they have a chance, not when it's you in the reward pool for his gamble against life itself

Xiao -

Head assassin for the royal family of Liyue, he doesn't think he deserves someone as amazing as you to be in his life but he doesn't want to lose you now that he has you

Somehow he knows exactly where you have been, what you're doing, who you've talked to, and everything else about you though. He wants you to be safe and in doing so he'll make sure to know your schedule

He's overprotective to all hell, but he also knows that humanity will find a way to do whatever it takes in the pursuit of freedom and he doesn't want to make you sad so he doesn't mind it when you go out

Really he doesn't exactly understand what about him made you approach him on the fateful day you two met but he can't complain winde now he has someone in his life that lets him be just a lil selfish

Botanical Dates where he gets to hold your hand while yall walk through the gardens where a lot of plants grow with a lot of care, he takes some time to ramble about them to you during the walks.

He loves it when you're both just relaxing, maybe grabbing a snack or a drink and then going on to continue the walk to take a chance to relax during this entire date.

Sometimes he'll call to check in on Collei during the date but he likes to take pictures of you during the date to make into Polaroid pictures to hang up on the fridge or in a scrapbook to show on your wedding night :]

Venti -

Date nights to him are either both if you stay at home and order take out while watching a movie and getting mildly drunk or it's a walk in a park with a nice breeze

Either way there's a lot of memories to be made along the way! Sometimes some pictures are being taken and poses with the statues in the park but it's still a good time all around though

Movie nights are his favorite because usually it means you fall asleep on his shoulder or laying beside him on the couch so he can tuck you in with a blanket and call it a night, and honestly he values that the most. Just a night with you and him in the warmth of a home

Wanderer / Scaramouche -

Good luck getting him out on a date honestly but at the end of the day he can't ever say no to you, so you go out to the arcade for the preferred date place

He finds amusement in you losing to crane games, saying you need to get better at them if you want to ever win something at these events but once you leave the area then he does his hardest to win a prize for you

He acts so smug about it too but also you just know he's flustered too so you just accept the prizes and prepare to play more games, so in your eyes it's a date well spent with your partner

Albedo -

Museum dates for him, he loves guiding you through the halls and pointing out the little things in art and science while you both are walking through the halls honestly. It makes him so happy to see you're paying attention to him

You stop for a snack and you see him taking a picture of you for a reference for painting later to relax, he likes seeing you surprised honestly at the end of the day because he thinks you look perfect naturally

A lot more pictures gets taken but it's by you while the two of you are going through the museum sections, pictures of Albedo looking up at works of art and others things- you want to save them for a scrapbook

Boothill -

This man loves the markets and you cannot tell me otherwise, the stockyard markets are his favorite place to take you out on a date and to find little knick knacks to decorate the house with

He gets you you're own cowboy hat along the way and you get him a new scarf because the one he has now is old and needs to be washed desperately, and he wears it because it's a gift from you

You both take a picture at the end of the day to hang on the fridge though, right alongside other pictures of dates to the movies and to the ranch to visit the horses and animals

Dan Heng -

He loves taking you out to the park for dates, it's so peaceful there and he loves walking down the paths with you with a lil picnic basket being carried by you. It's a favorite for both of you because it's peaceful and a lil secluded so no interruptions by Dan Hengs found family and friends

Fall time especially means a lot to him for dates, it also gives him a chance to offer you his jacket if it gets chilly at times and the colors remind him of you- warm and comfortable.

He takes a picture of you walking down the paths with leaves falling because he wants to make it his wallpaper, a reminder of this time he has with you because it means the world to him

Jing Yuan -

Any place with you is a date to him as long as it's with you, so he let's you decide where you go because he knows he has the money to support whatever you choose to do

Movies? Whatever you want to go see. The park? Of course anything for you. The theatre? Absolutely he would love to go watch a show with you

But honestly his favorite has to be staying at home to watch a show and order food for you both and the lion he takes care of, it makes him feel content knowing you and him are well and safe inside the house you both made for each other. During the show he'd probably fall asleep on you, and then you both wake up like that- just sprawled on the couch with a warm blanket on both of you

10/10 despite being made of metal he gives great hugs honestly. He loves that there's someone there after everything has happened in his line of work

If he has a bad day he'd probably be the kind to lay in your lap and rant about it to you with his colorful words and it'll probably make you laugh a lil though

GREAT WITH KIDS. You go to Belobog and he'll be great with keeping Clara and Hook out of danger but also you have to step in at least twice for games with them both

Definitely likes to bring you on dates whenever he has the time, not scared of danger being around cuz he can handle danger but he trusts himself and you to take care of it

Likes to put his hat on you before leaving, kinda in a way to say "I'll be right back"
