Okay, life has kept me pretty busy of late but I think I'm in a position now I can at least post this:

I have officially decided to put Tumblr behind me, at least for now. My life has been busier but removing the stress put on by working on drafts has made me a lot happier of late. I've still been RPing some, mostly on Skype or AIM, and it's easier for me to switch between muses now that I'm not so focused on one blog at a time. Yeah, I could see that for sure. I know I can be a little bit addicted to thing sometimes, and I'll find something else to fill it in, but I don't get that high anymore, y'know?

((I totally understand. It took me nine months to get any sort of motivation to come back to RPing on tumblr. Different reasoning, but I get how taking a break sometimes just won’t do.))

This is sort of how it goes for me, anyway. I get an itch for RP and need a resource, so I go out to find one and eventually I lose that itch. I've got a lot of people I will talk to and still RP with on a regular basis

It's not necessarily being unhappy, per se, but it doesn't bring the same joy it used to. It's still fun sometimes, but only sometimes, y'know?

Oh yeah, I know :) I'm sure I'd be welcomed back with open arms, at least as far as some people are concerned. And I'm not really going to quit RPing itself, necessarily, but I'm not sure Tumblr is the right format for me anymore. Sitting at it for 8 or more hours a day is feeling more like a job than fun now, and I'm getting a lot more out of Skype or AIM chat RPs. So I'll be using that as a venue, for sure, no matter what I do

((There are people who will wait ten years. Those people don’t care so long as you and your muse are enjoying yourselves. But if one medium is less stressful than another, maybe you could always take a breather?))

Here's my problem -

I've done breathers. They absolutely help, but ever since this past Christmas when I had too many blogs going at once, I was just... burnt out. And I think I should have stayed away for longer, maybe I would have had enough time to rehabilitate and reenergize before jumping back in again.

I've had a lot of fun on Tumblr, a lot of good times. But I'm approaching twenty nine and my life has been changing a lot recently and I'm not getting what I used to out of it anymore. So it may be time to move on

I'm still just considering it at this point, but I've been on Tumblr for almost three years now, and that's a long time. I've bounced between different fandoms and found places where I was happy for awhile, but I always end up stressing myself out about doing replies, which is sort of silly I know. But I don't like making people wait, and then I end up making them wait longer, and it becomes a silly cycle.

I've been doing a lot more IM based RPing of late, mostly because it's a lot less stressful for me, and I've been enjoying it a lot more. Maybe because I'm also playing more games again, and am less addicted to the feel of watching the dash fly by. I'm spending a lot less time on here, and I'm starting to think it may be time to move on.

But I'm not making any rash decisions either~

And yeah, that was once -- but you never know when something might happen again. Good point about the mold demons, though. Not to mention everything else that might try to worm it's way in here.

That was like…what once? I think you have to worry about the mold demons more than the toads.
