Okay absolutely. First, LA Cabaji does not get talked about enough. That man is fine as hell. And I see your point, especially with their relationship in my current fic.

Out of fear and his respect for Buggy, Cabaji would never flirt seriously, but I can definitely see some flirty banter between him and Luffy when they are paired up for chores. It would be a fun concept to incorporate. Cabaji just has to be very careful with what he says 😬 you know, unless Buggy wants another puppy👀 I don't really ship Buggy with anyone else, but if I didn't ship him with Luffy, I'd ship him with Cabaji🤷🏻 and the three of them? OKAY🥵

I'm not going that way with my current fic, but it's an intriguing idea nonetheless. Buggy is a natural flirt, so as long as Luffy doesn't step over a line, some harmless flirting can be written in for sure.

Moments of 'slice of life' are necessary for both the characters and the reader.

It comes down to one simple to say, yet complicated piece of advice that I keep as a golden rule:

Bring it inward to make it bigger.
