Remember kids, getting arrested to fill up jails and overwhelm the system was an effective tactic 60 years ago.
Now, though, Los Angeles has a prison skyscraper downtown, and the carceral state would love nothing more than to take you off the street and force you into years of prison labor.
Cover your face, be smart about what you post, and don't get arrested if you can help it.

I saw a post going around a while ago (including from a non-US moot) about getting comfortable lying to law enforcement
Here's the thing. In the US.
DO NOT TALK TO LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
If you are in a situation where you're lying to law enforcement, you are already interacting too much. STOP TALKING.
You can ask if you are free to go. You can keep asking.
Per the National Lawyers Guild, ESPECIALLY do not lie to the FBI. Do not say things to them that could be construed as lying. Those are serious charges. The best way around that is NOT TALKING.
In the words of the National Lawyers Guild: SHUT THE FUCK UP.

One of the things that makes the family conflict in Lilo & Stitch work narratively is that Cobra is correct in that Lilo and Nani's current situation is non-sustainable. And yes, Nani is not prepared to handle everything by herself. But losing the custody is not the solution either, and to a degree Cobra seems to believe the same (he legit does not want that to happen), but if Nani can't solve the problem, then from his perspective it's the least harmful solution.
And the conflict is solved because what Lilo and Nani need (what they REALLY needed) is a support net. Someone, anyone to be there to take at least SOME of the burden from Nani and give her breathing room.
Which is why Jumba and Peakley joining the family alongside Stitch, and become a constant pressence who share the burden of the household, makes all the difference.
And this does not solve all the problems, because the movie is not about magically resolving those problems, it's about putting the characters in a situation in which they can move forward as a family. And for their desire to be a family and be together as a family, to be respected.
Anyway, someone told me what the remake did for the ending

This is Happening in Trenton, NJ as of Now
The Trenton police department is currently under investigation by the U.S Department of Justice for police brutality incidents. They have received reports of "serious and credible" incidents of officers using excessive and unnecessary force, as well as illegally searching pedestrians and motorists, according to the New York Times. If i recall correctly, two Trenton police officers were tried and indicted for differing crimes pertaining to police brutality earlier in the year. Unfortunately, they did not suffer sufficient consequences for their actions, as one of them fatally killed someone with excessive pepper spray and got off without much consequence. Hopefully the DOJ does something about this prevalent issue in NJ's urban areas.

Ya'll the audacity that Boston/Ton and Top was showing in this episode and even the preview for episode 3 is insane! I mean Mew is defiently not a saint, because he was out her scoffing and Top's traumatic past and the reason he has insomnia not to long after. However, in Ton's case at least he looked guilty when he though him and Top were going to be caught, but it was Top entertaining Ton that upset me the most. Especially, when this man literally declared publicly that he like Mew and wanted to pursue him romantically, but you out here trying to have quickies in the showers like you a teenager. It's really not giving! Then we have Ton and Nick, and the fact that Nick is lying to himself just so he can keep Ton around. I need Nick to put himself first before he gets even deeper into this entanglement. Then we have Sand and Ray who were the green flags of this episode, outside of Cheum and her girlfriend, and really showed care to one another as a couple. Sand had empathy for Ray when he told him about his mother's death, unlike Mew when Top told him about the traumatic fire, he was in that led to his insomnia and inability to sleep alone, and he accused him of lying about it. *Heavy Sigh* Sand and Ray are, also, under the agreement that whatever happens they'll still be friends, and that's the only thing that I think they're lying about. Outside of this, I think that Ray needs to reevaluate his friend group because they are never around when he needs them, and if it wasn't for Sand would have let him drive drunk in the first episode. Ya'll I knew this show would be crazy but this is beyond!
