mike comes to kim about jimmy, perpetuating this pattern we've seen time and time again that kim resents. but for some reason, this time is different. it's unclear why—we as an audience know that mike is trustworthy in this instance, that he is being honest and forthright in his objective. perhaps all kim needs to know in order to trust him is that he saved jimmy out in the desert, that without this man her husband would be dead. and that trust, however tacit, allows her to confront him, to ask him why. why are you coming to me with this? and being told she's made of sterner stuff...that last look she gives him says so much. and i think one of the things it reveals about kim is that she's maybe a little proud of that. proud that someone in the game thinks she has what it takes. she's walking a very dangerous line between worlds and i wonder if this is the gentle push she needs in order to choose, to pick a side. even though mike urges her to "just live your lives." maybe she doesn't "just" want to do anything anymore. she was to be big, powerful, influential. anything but "just."

i love Jimmy’s chaotic Gus Fring energy -- just constantly investing in his community as scams necessitate. he's paying a guy to take a digger off a billboard, he's got Francesca on payroll and Huell off the books, he's got walking around money for the Saul Goodman Productions work study kids. He's giving Honeydew and Sally their hourly rate, offering the Piñata hooligans a fixed cut, paying 50 cents a postcard on the bus, tipping the facilities guy at the courthouse, talking Jesse and Walt into investing in local businesses...

it's like for Jimmy a fundamental part of making the money is passing it around. Some guys give to the fire department, some guys go 50/50 with Ira the vending machine guy. From each according to his ability.
