Don’t think about it, it’s too sad to think about. I can’t believe how quickly it’s all gone, it’s been a whirlwind. You’ll always be Rey, even if there isn’t another movie for decades. But yeah, it’s hard to consider that we don’t have much filming time left. At least you’re a spring chicken, by the time they want me to come back I’ll be about 80 and in a wheelchair. You’ll have plenty of opportunities coming your way, I’m sure, I can imagine I’ve reduced my career to just playing a psychopath from here on out. Can’t complain though, that role suits me well.

So with Episode Nine filming literally right around the corner as its beginning in a couple hours and my inability to get a proper nights sleep, I can’t stop thinking about how this is the last time I’ll play Rey until further notice. And that notice could be in decades. Part of me is completely destroyed and in denial that I’m having to give  up Rey for the time being and the other part is extremely excited about moving on to other projects, other roles, and whatever else the future has in store. Has anyone else been in this same position? Being completely upset about putting a character to rest for a bit but also been excited about picking other characters up? Or is this all just me?

Well if you’re behind on that there’s absolutely no hope for me then! You’re probably the coolest person I personally know. I think I’m mentally about 90-years-old. I’m sure you’ll get asked about force-boning in due time, Lando, don’t feel left out. I’m okay, running to and from LA and NYC at the minute but that keeps my mind off of personal shit. How are you? Are people still losing their shit over This Is America? We need a Star Wars reunion soon.

man… i don’t know what’s up with kids today. social media is another level of scary which is why i don’t use it all that much. fans are great, don’t get me wrong. but i’m a little behind with the internet lingo. it’s all very… interesting. i get a kick out of it but it’s also really confusing. so, how’s it going, man? aside from being asked about force-boning.

We’d definitely get on, if you need someone to mindlessly watch YouTube with let me know. The elders are just too sweet, I love old people and how honest they are. It is a shame, the music we listened to growing up is a thing of the past. Ms. Jackson, Hey Ya, Roses, they’re all classics that kids need to be educated in. We’ll have to petition to get outkast put on school curriculum. I was only in the marines for just under three years and I was never deployed. Had to leave when I stupidly broke my sternum on a bike but if I hadn’t I’d probably still be in the military today. Everything happens for a reason, right?

As soon as you watch one YouTube video, no matter what it is, it’s a slippery slope. You can watch an innocent 10 second long video of a cat being scared by a cucumber and 5 hours later you’re 200 recommended videos deep and wondering why it’s light outside. I do enjoy those react videos though, I like when they get old people to react to rap or rock music. The true emo in me wants to cry when they show teens 2000’s rock and they struggle to recognise any of the songs. That does make me feel old. Not knowing who Outkast are should be a felony, regardless of age. I went to my mom’s house last week and she got the old photo albums out. Looking at them, particularly the ones of me in the Marines, definitely made me nostalgic.

you just described a night in my life perfectly. it never fails to happen to me. “why didn’t you get any sleep last night, laura?” they ask me. youtube is always my reply. i love the elder’s react videos so much! definitely my favorite bunch. they just never know what to think about what they are being shown. their facial expressions says it all. i know that feeling all too well, i was cringing when they couldn’t recognize any of the songs from my childhood and teenage angst years. right? that’s a crime. parents should teach their kids all about outkast. ms. jackson is a classic! photo albums always brings back the nostalgia strongly. marines? how did i not know this? wow! i’m sure that was an emotional throwback.

It was. Well, ask away sir. Why would the puffins not get a role, we let you and William wander around aimlessly in Stormtrooper costumes whilst filming and the puffins were certainly less hassle than you.

I’m not sure that I know what a force-bone is! It’s the first time I’ve heard that term, I honestly didn’t know what to do. I think there are exceptions to the rule but a lot of the kids I meet are so obsessed with social media that they find themselves educated, in a sense of the word, in things much earlier than we, or definitely I was growing up. What’s the weirdest Stranger Things question you’ve been asked?

I can imagine that you get asked some horrendous GOT related questions. Although, I’m sure my inner fanboy would be able to conjure up a strange question or two for you. The mom just gave me an awkward smile and shrugged her shoulders and honestly that’s all I could do too. It’s just a shocking thing to hear from someone that age. You don’t have to be PG around me, I’m not a very PG person at all, as long as you’re not 14 asking me about how to bone across the galaxy.

Oh gosh, I would’ve been mortified had that happened to me. I try to avoid all social interactions in case I get asked weird questions from GOT, so far I’ve been successful. What did the kids mom do? I feel like their mom was probably just as - if not more so embarrassed than you were. The kids today clearly have no filters. If you ever need someone to hang out with and not force-bone hit me up. I’ll try to keep my comments PG for you.

Moose comes everywhere with me but he hates flying so more often than not it’s just a stressful experience all round. There’s nothing wrong with being a little boujee, especially in cases like that. Yeah, Moose is my ex-wife’s job if I’m away for a short period of time but anything over a few days I just have to take him with, can’t be without him. Don’t get me wrong, when we first got him and he’d had no training he was crazy, but as soon as we took him to a behaviour class he mellowed down. He’s perfect. I’d be happy for you to! I just might be, I’m not much of a social creature any more but I’ll try.

I have two dogs, Frankie and Chance. They’re both rescues and I love them very much. I take them to film sets with me, they get their own seat on the plane. I’m boujee like that but they deserve it. I’d have more but two small dogs is my limit with work. My friends take care of them when i’m gone though, i’m lucky. Moose sounds lovely! I love pits. They’re eager to please dogs, all up to how the owner trains them, same with rottie’s. I’d love to meet Moose some day! I doubt you are as boring as you think you are.

That’s definitely a fulfilling and time consuming thing to do, I respect that. I love rescues, my house would be full of rescued dogs and cats if I weren’t travelling so much. I have one rescue dog, Moose, he’s a rotweiller pitbull mix and even though so many people are scared of the pitbull in him, he’s the cuddliest good boy you could meet. I’m between New York and LA a lot at the minute shooting a movie but when I’m back in LA all I really do is take Moose to the beach. I’m probably not the person to talk to for inspiration of things to do, I’m rather bit boring.

i’m home and it’s weird not having something to do every second of every day. i’m going to put some money and time into some animal rescues here in LA. what are you guys up to?

i have a terrible habit of watching REACT videos all night when i should be sleeping. i don’t know why i find reaction videos so entertaining? but i obsessively watch them for hours instead of getting anything productive done. anyways, i stumbled onto a video titled ‘do teens know 2000′s music?’ and now i’m feeling ancient, nostalgic, and angry. this one kid had the audacity to say “i don’t even know who outkast is.” dear god. and here’s a fun fact to make you feel old - missy elliott’s ‘work it’ came out 16 years ago. hi, i’m laura and i miss 2000′s music. let me go build a throwback playlist on apple music. has anything made you feel nostalgic lately?
