“Oh my God. This is…how did you know?” Rafael nearly moaned as he took another bite of the expertly cooked Cuban meal in front of him.

He hadn’t eaten here in years and now as he was in olfactory heaven he was asking himself why. 

“I do my homework Mr. Barba. Also I met your mother this morning when I came down to introduce myself.”

“Carmen conveniently left that out of my morning brief.” Instead of being irritated Rafael was happy, nearly delighted at the conspiracy you’d spun with the two women who knew him best.

Chapter 2: Chinatown

In your professional life you’d always been highly attuned to reading other people. Corporate law in particular was dog eat dog. No one could be trusted and everyone was working only for themselves and their interests. You worked harder and longer than all of them, drawing praise from both your clients and the managing partners. You made a name for yourself quickly, becoming known for both your efficiency and efficacy. No one dared come after you with slander or scandal because no one would have believed them.

You were the best and had been rising quickly through the firm and then one morning you’d woken up and realized you had no desire to become partner. You wanted every case, every deal, every client. You loved the rush of being overwhelmed and understaffed. There was no place better to experience such things than the DA’s office. You applied for a job and they eagerly accepted, it seems you were well known in the criminal law sphere as well.

Chapter 1: St. Raphael 

Rafael Barba awoke to a sharp pressure burrowing through his forehead unlike any pain he had felt before. He’d experienced headaches his entire life, more so in the last few years, his caseload would give anyone a migraine. But this was different. This was horrific. Rafael threw off his gray duvet and moved to sit up. The room began to spin and he knew he had to move quickly or not at all. He’d drawn the curtains halfway closed on his way to bed but the light of the city still managed to illuminate scattered patterns on the walls of his bedroom.

-Fall is always a favorite for you and Sonny. You love watching the leaves turn from green to amber and vibrant orange. Every day on his way home from work Sonny will find a particularly beautiful leaf and bring it home for you to admire as well. It’s his little way of reminding you just how much he loves you and how you’re constantly on his mind. Sonny sees you in everything beautiful, every sunset and every rainbow.

- Rafael doesn’t like the fall as much, it’s not cold enough for him to wear his massive coat that he likes but it’s too cold to wear his favorite tan coat. Fall is a wardrobe crisis for Rafael. Recently though, fall has been redeemed for Rafael through your child.

“Are you seriously doing this right now?” You spoke incredulously towards your man who had just entered your living room wearing only his thin cotton pajama bottoms.

“What time?” He grumbled gruffly as his thumbs pressed deep into your tissue making your eyes fall closed in relief. 

“12 pm. Now stop it. You’re not even turning me on, you’re just making me sleepy.” You lied, knowing if you didn’t stop him now he would win this little game. 

“Let me carry you into bed then…hmmm…come on…I’ll wake you up early tomorrow to finish…whatever this is…hmmm…please amor.” Rafael purred into your ear making the skin of your neck raise in goosebumps as each hair stood to attention.

Yes, this actually turns into a lot of the reader taking care of Rafael and him realizing just how much she means to him. Rafael Barba, the helpless little coconut has fallen in love with his carer, aka his girlfriend, reader. This got VERY LONG, THERE IS SMUT, but a lot is Raf being Raf. 

You were doing it again. That look drove Rafael Barba mad. He was certain you didn’t know what it did to him because you did it all the time…constantly. The way you looked up at him from where you sat across his office with that little smile was killing him. How was it possible to be so aroused from just a look?

“You ok?” You spoke from the couch, noticing how he eyed you with an expression that looked like concern.

“What…um…yes.” He was startled by your voice and moved back slightly as if exiting a daydream physically.

My Frederick Chilton Series

Hello my dear loves, for those of you who don’t know I pleasure wrote a Frederick Chilton series on my old blog (@lena-went). It wasn’t by any means popular but I did not write it with the intention of gaining notes or reblogs. I loved the way Raúl portrayed Chilton and was totally enamored by him. Also as I am certain all of you have noticed, I love to write. So, I thought I’d share it with you because you’re all so dear to me and with the loss of Rafael Barba on SVU I think we could all use a happy distraction. His posture was confident and sure, his shoulders broad and his chest wide. 

You found yourself daydreaming of what it must be like to run your hand over his suit jacket, to feel the warmth of his body against the skin of your palm. 

“And at anytime during discovery did you leave the scene?” His voice did little to silence your fantasies, rather it made you wonder what words he would speak as you did unspeakable things to him.

Well…this got out of hand fast. It was supposed to be fun and kinky but ended up being sad and existential, only tucking the smut in under the wire. Ah well what’s done is done.

He called you crying. You could barely make out what he was saying, only being able to discern three words, doll, baby and your name. That was all it took, it was late and you were in your silk night gown but you threw on one of his coats and a pair of heavy duty boots and ran out of your apartment. Hailing a cab you shouted at the driver instructing him on where to take you. 

You arrived at the precinct in record time, it turns out half crying half yelling at cab drivers really makes them floor it. You practically sprinted inside, taking the stairs two at a time. The officers at the front desk scanned you in quickly already familiar with you since you visited so often. 

You passed Olivia Benson in the hallway and did a double take, calling after her desperately. 

“Liv, Liv…where’s Sonny?” You grabbed her shoulders and she pulled you against her in a tight hug before guiding you down the hallway.
