if you only knew how much it annoys me.

“it” is Hikaru’s unwillingness to portray disabilities and traumas realistically. and okay. previous examples could be tolerated because realism in yuumori is long dead. if Herder really behaved like he is blind, he wouldn’t be very useful to MI-6 and the plot. and he wouldn’t be able to make that prosthesic for Moran in the 19th century, which... well, okay.

but this scar of William's is the last straw. i'm sorry (no), but.

he occasionally wears a monocle or glasses on official art, so we know for sure that he either lost his vision in that eye or it decreased. and it's great that Hikaru thought about it, don't get me wrong.

it's just that William is not the first character with a beautiful scar near the eye (not in yuumori, just in general), and clearly not the last. and what do all artists who draw such characters have in common? they are afraid of strabismus. strabismus, which develops in 9 out of 10 cases with such an injury. strabismus, which would not affect William's life in any way. strabismus, which most people associate with madness and mental deficiency (not bad! but you know how people are).

and i understand Hikaru. she needs a handsome protagonist. but it's so annoying.

I've received a lot of good suggestions for more variants but can't keep up with them all, so here are some resources to make it easier to make your own.

PSD for easily editable text (there is a color fill layer for adding a bit of white where the stroke doesn't cover small holes. I recommend cropping excess empty space out before exporting as PNG)

and here are PNGs of the kudos button for any other editing needs, with and without white stroke:

Use your favorite image host, copy the direct image link, insert it between the quotation marks in the code, add alt text, and you're ready!
