Casually drops this here if anyone’s interested in interacting with my other BNHA OC (or other fandom muses). Still heavily debating, but I’m most likely going to be moving Delia over to there at some point because blog hopping is a pain.

(Menko) "Hey, Dorito, you ever wanted to live on the moon when times get too tough? Or any other planet besides Earth? The way other planets make noises sounds crazy, by the way. Venus sounds like a temple bell. "
@allcviatis
“ No, because I’d rather not suffocate to death in the void of space....because, you know, most planets don’t have an atmosphere? Are you always this stupid or are you trying especially hard today? ”

(Menko) " Can you ice skate using the other ice skates? Like the ones with the wheels? Those seems cheaper for me to get. " She proceeds to show Delia her smudged phone screen. It seems someone incorrectly labeled the product. "This set. Looks cool, doesn't it? "
@allcviatis
“ I’m sure you could...if you wanted to break your fucking neck. Just tell me what size you wear and I’ll buy them. You don’t know what you’re looking for, anyway. ”

(Menko) She causally hurls a pillow in Delia's general direction. "Psssst, hey! You ever wonder why its called a sleep over? Does that mean when you sleep, it's over? or its it because you're over, I can't sleep? Also, do you believe in sleepwalking in America?"
@allcviatis
She’d been trying to sleep for the past two hours, but Menko’s seemingly insaitable need to vocalize every thought in her head made doing so impossible. Each time she finally started to nod off, another string to ridiculous questions jolted her awake. Menko’s constant rambling rarely grated on her nerves, but it was late, she hadn’t sleep much the night before, and her patience had been stretched to its limits.
With a frustrated groan, she snatched the pillow from where it landed and hurled it back.
“ For fuck’s sake, Menko. It’s four a.m. Shut the fuck up and go to sleep already. ”

(Sero) "Looks like you need more eraser for that mistake. Hold on. You can borrow mine~." He just hands her a large, pink eraser that's roughly six inches long.
@allcviatis
“ Uh...yeah...thanks, but, uh, isn’t that a little....excessive? ”

Why We Don’t RP:
ϟ - your writing intimidates me
☽ - you don’t seem interested in me/my character
✘ - I approached you once and it didn’t go anywhere
✧ - I can’t think of a way for our characters to interact
☀ - I don’t like any of your verses
❧ - I want to someday but I’m too busy right now
☹ - I think you’re overpowering/judgemental/demanding
☂ - you write too much/too fast and I don’t think I can keep up
❀ - you write with another version(s) of my character already
❤ - I want to ship our characters but you don’t list them as a ship
♠ - we did once and I embarrassed myself; now I’m too shy to try again
✂ - we started plotting but I forgot to reply and it’s been too long
✄ - we started plotting but you forgot to reply and it’s been too long
☼ - I can’t find your rules/about/verses/etc.

I’m highly debating moving Delia (and my other two BNHA muses) to my multi-muse to make my life easier because blog hopping is an absolute pain.

When you completely forget about your muse’s birthday and have asks to answer two months late-

I totally underestimated how zonked I’d be after my surgery (I thought conscious sedation would be less bleh than general anesthesia, and while it technically was, I still feel dizzy). I’ve got birthday asks and shit to do, but they’ll have to wait a couple more days.
Also dis.cord drop because I keep forgetting to do that and I can only stare at tumblr for so long while lying in bed without getting annoyed: Lil Shit (ง'̀-'́)ง#5877. Just make sure you tell me who you are or you’re not getting added.

I was planning on coming back and brushing the dusts off this blog sometime this week, but getting all my teeth pulled kind of put a damper on that. I still have a crap ton of drafts to get to, and I will get to them at some point.

Delia. It was rare to hear a first name in introductions to him, though perhaps it was a surname. Either way, that took care of the first obstacle between them. His palms still felt quite sweaty, though.
His eyes fluttered for a moment. A big grin crept across his face seconds after.
“Delia! Oh, so you are English!” Like a switch flipping, the cadence of his voice remained but to the tune of something more familiar. At least, he hoped it sounded familiar enough through his slight drawl. “Heeeeey, man, don’t sweat it! Japanese is tough. You’re not bad at speaking. We’ll just talk like this if its easiest.”
Hanta held his hand out towards her. “ I’m Hanta Sero. Class 1-A. You’re from the 1-B, right? Or are you from another hero courses? Also, what country did you transfer from anyway? Is it…California?”
English? It took a moment to register, but when the realization sank in, she breathed a sigh of relief. Though schools in Japan taught English as a second language, few seemed truly capable of speaking it fluently. It was a difficult language in its own right, but hearing someone who could speak and understand it without difficulty certainly helped put her at ease.
“ My grandmother says otherwise, “ she said. “ According to her, my Japanese sucks, but, uh, yeah, I’m in 1-B. ”
Though glad she had a name to associate him with, she found herself facing another dilemma: which one to use. Did she assume that, because he was speaking English, he gave it in the traditional English format, or the Japanese way out of habit? Sighing, she shoved that aside and focused on the remainder of his questions.
“ Uh, no. I’m from America, not England, and California is a state, not a country... ”

The struggles of writing on any software that has a grammar function: aggressively underlined verb tenses that are perfectly acceptable. Like, thanks but I do know my grammar. Stop telling me I’m wrong.

I will get to drafts someday soon. I’m still working on side projects and whatnot (and trying to recover all of my icons, photoshop stuff, etc from when I had to reset my laptop a couple weeks ago) but feel free to invade my inbox in the meantime?

Sorry for the lack of activity lately. I’ve been working on a personal side project that's been consuming my motivation (and will) to write. I’ll try to get to drafts/asks/checking out new followers during breaks.

[Character Development Questions: Hard Mode] 11-20
@tcpsytxrvy
In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
Definitely during the fire that killed her parents. She almost didn’t make it out because she was too panicked to think clearly. She still has no idea how she managed enough thought to break her window and climb out of it.
In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
Probably any point when she was with her parents. Delia hasn’t really had a ‘calm’ moment since she moved to Japan and it’s almost entirely her aunt’s fault.
Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?
Blood doesn’t really bother her, unless its excessive amounts of it. Even then, she may get a bit queasy, but nowhere near the level of fainting or passing out.
Does your character remember names or faces easier?
She’s actually pretty good at both, its more, especially with Japanese, she tends to mishear or misunderstand. She’ll recognize the names if she hears or sees them, but she has harder time with pronouncing them - it’s not that she doesn’t know it or can’t remember it, its more she can’t say it properly which may give the impression that she doesn’t remember it.
Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?
The way she dresses and some of what she owns, at times, makes it seem like she is, but she’s not. Delia wasn’t raised to be snobby or arrogant because she was born into a wealthy family, in fact, she was raised that, because she was born into such a family, it was her civil duty, as her mother put it, to help others in need. She has no qualms about handing over large amounts of money to charity or people who need it.
She’s of the mindset that money doesn’t buy happiness (which she does experience first-hand later in her life) and that, in the end, it really doesn’t mean anything. You can’t take fancy sports car or millions of dollars to the grave with you.
Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
Definitely happiness. She would rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable (as she discovers later in her life).
What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
Delia didn’t really have too many toys growing up, not because her parents couldn’t afford them, but she didn’t really care for them. As a child, she was more interested in activities more centered around art - namely drawing on the walls with crayons - being outside, or reading. (She was a weird kid.)
She did, however, have a stuffed rabbit she slept with - and would not sleep without, but Delia was always more interested in finding other ways to entertain herself. She liked things that were hands-on and let her build or create, even if at her parents’ expense. (She was that kid who dragged out the pots and pans at six in the morning and went to town.)
Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
She doesn’t really have a preference for either, though she’d likely go for wisdom. Ambition too easily feeds into arrogance in her opinion, and if there’s one thing Delia cannot stand, it’s arrogance.
What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
She does not communicate. Ever. Getting her to talk about anything that bothers her is a bit like pulling teeth - especially if she cares what someone thinks, as she often thinks what upsets her isn’t really worth being upset over and she isn’t used to actually talking about her problems with anyone.
It hasn’t ruined a relationship, yet.
In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
Delia doesn’t normally compare herself to others, but when she does, it’s always in the form of self-criticism. Where she does compare herself to others is usually with her classmates, especially during training sessions where she feels like she’s lagging behind because, in reality, she isn’t even supposed to be in the Hero Course as it is. Her aunt shoehorned her in against her wishes (she failed the entrance exam and was fully willing to go into General Studies or the Support Department, but her aunt refused to let it happen). Delia knows she’s not supposed to be there and that, unlike her, everyone else proved time and time again why they earned the right to be.
