Janai definitely confessed first, she didn’t expect Amaya to share her feelings but she need to get it off her chest and was quite surprised when Amaya kissed her and (Gren) said that she loved her too.

But the most surprising thing was the immediate switch up, we don’t really see any other, healthy relationships between two Sunfire elves but my headcannon is that they are very clingy and affectionate but Janai didn’t want to come off to strong so but surprise surprise Amaya was a hell of a lot more clingy then her.
