As I take this opportunity to reflect on the past week. I can't help but think of how grateful I am for having had this experience. What we have experienced can not be bought anywhere it is truly unique. The chance to understand the conditions in which the people of Tarwachapi live in has been truly eye opening. The work that @careorg and Accion Andina have been doing for this community has been inspiring and I feel proud that @hartmann_group is also now taking action. #hartmannbeyond #goingfurtherforhealth #bolivia (at Potosí, Bolivia)

Day 2- another great day in Cochabamba. Today we visited a very iconic Cristo De La Concordia, the largest of its kind in the world! The views where truly breathtaking. We took the cable car to the top and the. Decided to walk down the 2000 stairs on the way down. @raluca_adina1984, @steadtanya,Bettina and I all struggled towards the end and caught a case of the leg shakes! It was tough. Overall great training to prepare us for our mission. Tomorrow we travel to the town of Sacaca our highest point of the trip, this will be the last prep stop before we arrive in the village! #hartmannbeyond #goingfurtherforhealth #cochabamba #bolivia #cristocochabamba (at Cochabamba, Bolivia)

Volunteering.
To further promote accessible healthcare worldwide, HARTMANN has been working with the international relief organisation CARE in the field of healthcare since July, 2015. Over the next three years, HARTMANN will support specific CARE projects in emerging and developing countries, starting in Bolivia. Three HARTMANN employee volunteers will lead our first mission with CARE in Norte Potosí – the eastern Andean slope of Bolivia. We will work to improve access to healthcare and basic health services in the project areas by building health centres, training medical workers, improving capacity building and raising awareness about hygiene practices and diseases. To further promote health worldwide, HARTMANN has been working with CARE since July, 2015. We are both committed to going further for health and positive change. The health centre we are building together in Bolivia will provide inpatient and outpatient services, maternal care, dental care and have a pharmacy.

Today we took the time to adapt to the climate with the lovely Bettina from CARE. We also welcomed my other colleagues @Raluca_adina1984 and @steadtanya to Cochabamba. We captured some of the beautiful scenery and our first group dinner that was topped off by an impromptu Latin street band! Tomorrow we prepare to buy supplies and adjust for the climb to the mountains. Great first day. #hartmannbeyond #care #goingfurtherforhealth #bolivia #cochabamba (at Ciudad De Cochabamaba)

In Bolivia we will be climbing to heights over 4000 Feet. In preparation for this our MD Mark Summerville challenged me to loose weight. He pledged to sponsor me $1000 for each Kilo I lost. The final weigh in was yesterday and I lost 12.9 KG. This means $12,900 for charity and I feel I will be able to provide a lot more support in my new healthy state! The journey to Bolivia has been great so far but I'm super excited about the next chapter that is about to unfold! Thank you to everyone for your support.

Hi Family and Friends. Today Is the beginning of a special journey. I have been given the opportunity to represent HARTMANN group in the first volunteer mission to Bolivia in the recent partnership with CARE. I'm extremely excited about this opportunity and look forward to serving the people of Bolivia during my time there. The mission will involve educational activities and helping build a healthcare centre. My aim is to support and raise awareness about the importance of these organisations. I'm extremely proud to be part of this mission and look forward to sharing my experience over the next couple of weeks! #goingfurtherforhealth #care #health (at Sydney Airport - International Terminal)
