But here's a little story-headcanon about the Taurie. I like the theory that the survivors are just souls trapped in hell who have to go through endless trials trying to get out of this place while running from even more damned souls in the form of killers.

I think the Taurie are REALLY afraid of what's happening. And it awakens a strange defense mechanism in them. They try to run away from the killers at first. But when there's no way out, they just try to… accept it in a strange way.

When it comes out, they just try not to resist too much when they're killed and just accept this pain and fear as a kind of meditation and "cleansing". Something that brings them closer to the experience of being in the clutches of the Black Talon. And they really enjoy this pain in a terrible masochistic way.

But sometimes when it gets too hard and anxious for them, they like to specifically provoke the killers to the most brutal actions and blows. And when it works out - they really like to talk to some of the smart ones and ask them for the opportunity to "serve" to relieve excess tension. Some refuse and simply kill the Taurie in disgust. But some…. are not against spending time in hell at least a little fun.

The Taurie are terribly afraid of this. And their skin is very delicate and they perceive every touch or cut especially sensitively. But when this is combined with animal lust and adrenaline - it sends them into real ecstasy.
