I only write the things that are already figured out and dreamt up, ofc it doesnt become 100% the same. But when the writing process starts, the story is already made and the vibe is clear.
writers who make playlists before writing anything scare me. how are you setting a mood for something that doesnβt exist yet. are you conjuring it. are you a witch.

Not to make it personal, but i will. I feel as if my school wishes me to spell out everything as if they are 5 year olds, and im a history student in uni. I dont want to write like a textbook.
I want to showcase different sides and opinions and make whoever is reading, thinking about the work, thinking about what they see and agree with. I want to write how I see other historians write, my exemples, the articls you read agein and agein to fully grasp ever part, the once that make you write your own and research yourself.
And yes i could maybe do that after my master, but i wish to practice that now, to discuss with teachers and learn how to do that. But instead I am being trained for one thing and thats teaching history to kids in the most boring way so they will never be interested.
I should probably done philosophy, but oh well.
βI should not like my writing to spare other people the trouble of thinking. But if possible, to stimulate someone to thoughts of his own.β

weird as fuck living in a culture where it's considered more impolite to speak up and defend yourself against someone treating you unfairly than it is for someone to be rude to you in the first place

βThe feminine character, and the ideal of femininity on which it is modelled, are products of masculine society. The image of undistorted nature arises only in distortion, as its opposite. Where it claims to be humane, masculine society imperiously breeds in woman its own corrective, and shows itself through this limitation implacably the master. The feminine character is a negative imprint of domination. But therefore equally bad. Whatever is in the context of bourgeois delusion called nature, is merely the scar of social mutilation.β

Omg omg omg, i just bought my first proper sewing machine from vinted, was mailed today by seller and i will have it in a week or less. I cant believe it.
I was working with a mini, the one people say are for kids, dont let ur kids close to that stuff, maybe a teen ofc but not a kid, its a nightmare and will hurt you.
Anyways, it was starting to act up and as we are moving to norway from spain in a week, and the prices in spain are insanely cheaper. Ofc same brand its about the same but spain has other options, norway doesnt only the most popular.
Regardless i have only had 1 stiche, the basic of the basic and now i will have 33 to fuck around with. There will be so much to learn but i am soo happy i can not contain myself.
And yes i treat this blog as a journal.

Honestly every time i open an app i am being compelled to watch this show. Sounds like my 6 fav so.π€
Started watching the Apothecary Diaries at a friend's house, and I find it hilarious and oddly compelling how perfectly the show blends my least favorite things (sex, romance, and anime) with my most favorite things (cats, medical science, and Sherlock Holmes). I'll be aroace until the day I die, but maybe I can budge on the anime issue.

Those victoriansπ€¦ββοΈ
Thinking about the amount of damage that some 19th century historians did to historiography and how much we are still victims of it truly saddens me sometimes.
