Hey everyone.

In the light of the recent news that Voltage is bringing back Astoria (and potentially other Lovestruck series), I'm going to start reducing my presence here. This means that starting from this week, I'm going to stop sharing updates about my remakes on my Tumblr blog until further notice.

If you still want to recieve updates on my Love & Legends and Villainous Nights remakes, as well as any future remakes I work on, I encourage everyone to join my Discord server using the invite link below to stay up to date.

And also, please make sure to not post the links to my remakes or my discord to Voltage's social media channels. This will reduce the chances of my remakes getting taken down.

Love & Legends (Recreation) is live!

This is an unofficial recreation of Love & Legends from Lovestruck Voltage featuring unique art and GUI.

After a lightning strike, you're teleported to a fantasy world of knights, elves, fairies… and evil queens. And turns out you look just like the evil queen, the one killed three years prior. People in the world either want you in a dungeon or to restart war as their despotic overlord and you have to learn to navigate the world, chosing someone to stay by your side.

It's a visual novel/dating sim with seven unique routes, each with their first season fully available. The main character is a bisexual woman from Chicago with two female and five male love interests.

This has been such a fun project these past 2.5 months and I hope people will enjoy it, even if you haven't read the originals. I'll be updating things as we go for the next seasons and new characters.

Help a Jewish Community Buy Back Its Own Damn Synagogue!

Firsty, thank you for reading this, and I hope you’ll get through it and give us the honor of a donation, firstly, and a reblog, secondly. Maybe even a note to any friends you have outside of tumblr! 

If you don’t care about the history, skip to the bold at the end! 

This is Temple Emanu-El, in Helena, Montana. At the time it was built, it was the only synagogue between Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Portland, Oregon. It was built with the hard work of the Jewish community that had come west to seek their fortune and stability, having heard that people were more willing to do business with Jews in the West, a place where social strictures were slightly relaxed. This turned out to be true, and the community thrived. 

This picture resolves small on tumblr, but you can see the love and care they put into it. It’s modeled after the great synagogues of Europe, with heavy stonework, onion domes, and intricate stained glass. The president of the congregation cried at its opening and dedication. 

As the years went on, the West became more settled, and for a series of socio-political reasons of which my History of the American West major ass is well aware but are ultimately unimportant to the issue at hand, Jewish communities left much of the interior west for metropolitan areas. By the 1930s, the Jewish community was so small that they could not justify the large and lavish worship center. 

They sold it to the city for one dollar. 

The promise made to them was that it would be used for the public good. The state readied the former temple for its new function as offices for Social and Rehabilitation Services, sandblasting of the Hebrew inscription, “Gate to the Eternal,” above the entry and removing the star-studded, painted domes.. The copper was stripped from the building and likely reused to re-clad the State Capitol’s dome at about the same time. 

That lasted all of 40 years, when the State of Montana decided to let it sit idle and decay, so they could justify the sale of the building, sold for a pittance to the public good, to the Helena Catholic Diocese for $83,000  (this is an opinion of mine, though it is not an uneducated one, and I do firmly believe it. I do not, however, represent that they allowed it to fall into disrepair to justify the sale as objective fact.)

In a twist of fate, the diocese can no longer afford to maintain the building. They are selling it, and the Jewish community of Helena is trying to buy it. 

The Montana Jewish Project is being far far far nicer and more politic about this than I would be, but in fairness, they actually how to get Nice Goyim to donate, and I don’t, so. The Diocese is spinning this as selling the building for much less than its worth, which may be true, but if you bought it for $83,000, that would be $280,000 now. 

They are selling it for $925,000. And we have to have 70% of the purchase price by February 28th. Easy terms, right? 

Here’s where you come in! If the idea of Montana’s Jews getting back the building that was sold to the Diocese in spite of the original agreement appeals to you, you can and should donate to their capital campaign. They even have an option for your donation where if we don’t get Emanu-El back, your money will be returned to you instead of being used for other MJP protects and repairs. 

This place won’t just be used for the Jewish community, though I think that would be enough. They want it to be used as a museum and center for the community as well, to teach about Jewish life in Montana, with Jewish cooking classes, and social programs, and teaching non-Jews about Jewish customs and culture.

Hello, and I’m sorry. I’ve never done anything like this before, and I hope I never have to again. I don’t enjoy having to ask for help. But this isn’t for my own sake- it’s for my mother’s and my two young half siblings.

After months of seeking for answers, being misdiagnosed and dismissed by doctors and just being mistreated by medical staff, my mother has finally recieved a proper diagnosis. Stage 4 lung cancer.

It began with a back ache months ago. She went to the doctors and got multiple scans done- they found tumors. She was told they were likely cancerous. They performed a biopsy, and it came back negative. We were hopeful then that it wasn’t cancer, but then she got pneumonia and a lung infection, sending her again to the hospital. It was that time where she had another biopsy performed, and the official diagnoses came in. It was cancer, and it was already at stage 4. It took around 5 months for this diagnosis, and in that time her condition progressed further.

It is at this point according to doctors, incurable. However, our hope is that she can fight it long enough to be there for her youngest children, 1 and 2 years old respectively. We hope that she can overcome the odds and stick around for a few more years, so that they can remember her. Either way, we’d like to keep her comfortable for however long she continues to be with us.

“The confrontation between logging company Teal-Jones and forest defenders in court is the result of the ongoing failure of the provincial government to follow through on their promise and deliver solutions to protect globally rare and endangered old-growth forest like the spectacularly intact Fairy Creek rainforest in Pacheedaht territory,” said Sierra Club BC campaigner Jens Wieting in a statement Thursday.

The Fairy Creek rainforest is the last intact watershed in the San Juan river system, representing an ancient and irreplaceable ecosystem, and if Teal-Jones is successful in logging it, trees hundreds to thousands of years old will be turned to sawdust…

Although this injunction has been granted, the defenders of Fairy Creek are not backing down, and are asking you to join the fight however you can.

Getting boots on the ground is of the utmost importance right now, and Fairy Creek Blockade are asking anyone who can to join them on the front lines, but for those who can’t physically join the blockade, donating is incredibly important and helpful as well.
