Back in Canada 🇨🇦
Saturday, October 14th, 2017
I am back in my daily life again. I worked all last week, even though I am jet lagged😴.
I am very tired and I am sad, that I won't see my friends from Germany 🇩🇪 for a long time😕.
The trip in Germany was awesome. I made a lot of friends and I am trying to talk to them once a week. I am really excited 😊to see them again😍

Shopping 🛍 and Flight ✈️ Home 🏡
Wednesday, October 5th, 2017
In the morning, we went shopping, before our flight went at 6 pm. Berlin is perfect to go shopping. We went to the Alexanderplatz, which is a square with a lot of stores in the center of Berlin.

We bought a jersey of the German soccer team and I bought a kite, because Germany has very nice kites👍🏼

In the middle of the Alexanderplatz is a world🌎 clock🕓. It shows the time of different places all over the world. We had a very nice day of shopping 🛍.

The flight went totally fine. We had no delays and no issues at any of the airports🛫. I am pretty sad to be back home and I am not excited to go to work again☹️.

Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe🕍
Tuesday, October 4th, 2017
We visited one of the most breathtaking memorials, I have ever seen. The Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe consists of a 19,000 m2 site covered with 2,711 concrete slabs.

It is scary, when you walk through it. It gave me the feeling of loneliness and I was able to see the exit, but it was so far. I kinda felt like the Jews in the concentration camps. They were always able to see the 'real' world, but they were not able to escape

The memorial doesn't habe an official meaning. Everyone can make up their own mind about it, and I think the concrete slabs show that everyone is the same, and we shouldn't make any differences. No matter if boy or girl, jewish or muslim or European or African.

Biking 🚵 beside the Berlin Wall
Monday, October 3rd, 2017
We did a tour along the Berlin Wall. We had a guide, who showed us a lot and told us stuff about the Berlin Wall. We also saw the original wall with our own eyes. The whole tour was 16€ per person +5€ to rent a bike.
It was totally worth it👌🏼! It was breathtaking😯 how high the wall was and it looked like it is impossible to pass the wall, but our guide told us that numerous people tried to escape, because they were so desperate☹️. A lot of people died, but some people escaped, because they build tunnels or something like that😦.

Museum WWII ⚔️
Sunday, October 2nd, 2017
We visited another piece if history today. The German-Russian Museum🇩🇪🇷🇺 was perfect for us, because they had a lot of stuff visualized👀 and everything was translated to english 🇬🇧.

In the building of the museum, WWII was finished on 8 May 1945 with the surrender of the German Wehrmacht🤝. The room, where they were talking about the surrender got reseated, so it is very easy to understand how it was in 1945. The museum was amazing and I recommend it to everyone who is in Berlin👍🏼.

Berlin Zoo
Saturday, October 1st, 2017
Today, we went to the zoo. It is not a very special zoo with a lot of exotic animals, but they have some unique animals.

I saw a panda 🐼for the first time of my life and they are so cute😍. I wanted to cuddle with him, but one of the zookeepers told me that they are more dangerous than they look 👀like😑.

It was an amazing day. I haven't been to a zoo in so long and I decided to get a season ticket for the Toronto Zoo, when I come back, because it is nice to just go for a little walk in a zoo. It makes me very happy 😊.

Brandenburg Gate🏛
Friday, September 30th, 2017
We spent our first day in Berlin with wandering around and going to the Brandenburg Gate🏛.

It is a huge gate, which is the most famous sight in Germany 🇩🇪 It is the only one preserved from the 18 Berlin city gates.

It used to be a place to meet for the politicians before WWII🤝.
Now it is a sign of peace and the reunion of Germany 🇩🇪.

Sanssouci🏰
Thursday, September 29th, 2017
Today we visited another castle🏰 On the way to Berlin🏛, we stopped at one of the most famous castles in Germany🇩🇪.

The castle is huge and overwhelming, but I think 41€ per person for a tour was too much 💰. We could've went for a nice dinner 🍴for the same price...

Fun all day😁
Wednesday, September 28th, 2017
We started this day by going to the sauna and getting a massage 💆🏻♂️. There are so many different saunas😍. There are normal, steam, stone, wood, salt saunas and a lot more.

We tried every single sauna, and my favorite was the salt sauna. It didn't get too hot🔥 and the ambience was very nice🤗.

We spent numerous hours in the saunas, after we realized, that we didn't see everything yet🤷🏼♂️. We decided to skip the whirlpool area🌪 and go get a massage💆🏼♂️ instead. On this evening, we played a little bit of minigolf, before we had dinner at the "beach".

Tropical Island 🏝
Tuesday, September 27th, 2017
We spent the last two days before Berlin🏛 at the Tropical Island Resort🏝. It is the biggest tropical holiday resort in Europe, which is build inside and old airship hangar. Tropical Island is a resort south of Berlin. It is very nice for teenagers and families👨👩👧👦.

On the first day, we arrived at lunch time, so we checked in our little cabin inside the resort and then we had some fun🔥.

There is a lot to do. There are numerous water slides😯, whirlpools😌 and saunas😓. We wanted to try the water slides first and we had so much fun, that we weren't able to try anything else😆. The good thing is that we have tomorrow as well.

Moritzburg Castle🏰
Monday, September 26th, 2017
The Moritzburg Castle is 30 min out of Dresden, so we did a day trip there. The castle is build on a small island 🏖 and it has a beautiful garden🌹.

It was build in 1546 and was a hunting lodge for Moritz of Saxony and it got extended by a lot if other reigners 👑 after him.

There is one very nice room. It is huge and there are numorous deer 🦌 antlers on the walls.
It was a very sunny☀️ day so it was nice to relax a little bit and see something new. It is not very important for the German history, but it is a nice place to visit👍🏼.

Dresden😕
Sunday, September 25th, 2017
Dresden is one of the nicest cities I have ever seen, but the people here are very racist.

The "Zwinger" is a big area of different museums and we went to a science museum🔬.

After that, we went to the "Frauenkirche", which is a very important church in Germany 🇩🇪.
The sightseeing was pretty nice, but the people were very racist. We saw people beating up a black woman😳😢(We called the police 👮 and they helped her). And we also saw a lot of people protesting against immigration 😐. It was a very crazy day and I don't get why people are against immigration... It made me very sad to see all those racists🙁😥.

Relaxing and Driving
Saturday, September 24th, 2017
Today is just a trevelling day. We woke up pretty late and ate breakfast 🍳 It was very good. I had Bauernfrühstück for breakfast (in engl. Farmerbreakfast).

It is mainly made from fried potatoes eggs and onions😋. It was something new and it tasted very good, but it was not amazing.
After that, we all got a massage💆🏻♂️, which was also nothing special, but it was noce before the long 6h drive😣 to Dresden.

Wimbachklamm🌊
Friday, September 23rd, 2017
In Germany are a lot of gorges. They are called 'Klamm' in Germany and the are phenonemous😯. For everyone who doesn't know what a gorge is, it is a narrow canyon, through which water 💦 flows.

In Germany, they usually build wooden 🌳 walkways in the canyon, so you can see and feel the water.

The 'Wimbachklamm' was very nice. There were a few small waterfalls and rapids. We had to pay 5€💶per person to get in, but that was okay. It was pretty busy, but the gorge was big enough, so it was spread out👌🏼.
It is a nice way to go for a walk and see something new.

Koenigssee Luge Track
Thursday, September 22nd, 2017
The ride to Koenigssee took us 2h30. I wanted to go there, because I love luge and I always wanted to see a training. Winter sports 🎿 are just amazing.
We had a lot of luck🍀 , because it was snowing all night, so the track was already icy ❄️, but the rest was still warm and clean.
The season didn't start yet, but there were a lot of people practicing 🏋🏻, because it was the first regular practicing day. Some people were going down the luge track and others were running 🏃🏼.

It was not as interesting😒 as I thought it would be, because the luges were so fast 💨, that they past us, before we even realized, that they are there.

I won't recommend going there. I think it could be interesting, if there is a race🏁, but the practice was pretty boring

The view from the Zugspitze 😱😍
Wednesday, September 21st, 2017
We just came back from the Zugspitze. It was amazing 😯. We were walking on some snow fields❄️ and we had to climb a little bit, but when we made it to the top, we were so happy 😁.

After we made it, we took the train 🚂 down. It is pretty funny, that they have a train going to the top of a mountain, but it was a very nice experience👍🏼.

The people, that were hiking, were super nice. Everyone said "Grüß Gott", which means "Hello". Nobody was pushing, and everyone wanted us to go first1️⃣. They were very different from the people in the German cities.

Zugspitze🏔
Tuesday, September 20th, 2017
Today is the big day. The day that I was waiting for the last two months😍. We just left the hotel and we are on our way to the Zugspitze.

The Zugspitze is 2962m high. It is the highest mountain in Germany and it is also on the border to Austria 🇦🇹. The top of the mountain is in Germany 🇩🇪, so it counts as Germany's highest mountain🏔
We left at 5 o'clock in the morning, so we were able to see the sunrise 🌅 The hike was amazing. I haven't done hiking in the mountains for so long. I just love it ❤️ It was pretty exhausting, because none of us was used, but the view was very nice.
We didn't hike up to the top, because it woul've been a 14 km hike. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it is very hard😓 in the mountains🏔. We are staying at the "Hochfeldernalm" and it costs $45/night with breakfast 🍳. The lodge was right in the middle of our hike, so we will have to hike 7 more km tomorrow.

We are getting ready for bed🛏 right now, because we have to get up early 😒tomorrow again.
