Sam's version of, “I always wanted a brother”.
You know that, “I always wanted a brother, I always wanted a brother” song? Well this is how Sam sees it. (In the songs tune).
I always wanted Mother~

I always wanted a father~

Instead I have a brother, who became my mother and father~
He raised me better than you together~

He stood up for me against our father~

Thanks Dean for being my parental figure, and the best big brother ever~

Season 11 Part 2 (The ice chapter)
Positive take on the 11min era, more specifically the ice chapter of season 11. It’s chill, literally.
I like the setting, the new realm. The icy mountains, the cozy villages and battles on the snow and icy lands.
Surprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed the side characters. Sorla, the two arguing villager friends. Akita, and Kotaru were really nice additions to the story and loved every minute of their screen time.
Ice emperor Zane was dangerous and cold. I can’t get over his spine-chilling voice. His design is well done.

When the ninja were brought up or old memories were mentioned I appreciated how the writers made his voice hesitant and his eyes making it seem like the gears in his head were questioning, causing him to doubt. Felt like such a Zane characteristic thoughtfully included.
The other ninja had a fair amount of screentime so I never felt robbed of that. They put focus into Cole’s depression and struggle to accept himself and his failure. Kai and Nya, the sibs, were struggling with their elemental powers and doubted themselves.

Humor was fairly simple and had a couple of laugh out loud moments. Enjoyable.

Lloyd and Akitas travels across the realm are my favorite parts. Lloyd making friends with wolfAkita was so sweet, I honestly wish their travels lasted longer. Lloyd’s character is about persevering through life with friendship and trust. Creating a buddy bond with wolfAkia was a nice way to include that Lloyd can’t go to save Zane without support. I treasured that short-time buddy bond they had.

This season showed bits of Lloyd’s trauma, something that isn’t touched on too much. Talking about how his life is an endless source of unlucky streaks was so nice to hear. They finally portrayed Lloyd being affected by his unlucky life and it being long-lasting. His anger towards Akita for hiding the truth is a favorite scene, because he is still affected by Harumi’s betrayal and his trust issues. LOVE IT.

A common hatred fans didn’t like. Lloyd getting the spotlight once again.
You see it however you want to see it, but I just recently found a new way to look at it that changed my opinion of the season.
When Lloyd goes off on his own to find Zane, it reminded me of season 1 memories. Back then Lloyd was a bratty kid who had family issues and led a lonely life, solo traveling Ninjago in search of the serpentine tombs. From dry desert, to dark forests, to snowy mountains. I feel like for season one purposes, Lloyd’s survival skills are slightly more refined compared to the other ninja. His travels with Akita reminded me of the old days.

Soundtrack
I am someone who judges the performance of a series mainly on the soundtracks. I consider them the foundation of the show. I thoroughly enjoyed the soundtracks of the Ice chapter. Zane’s were as spine-chilling as the ice emperor was dangerous. Half the soundtrack was very …. Mm… Tranquil. Like I was standing outside on a cloudy day and the warm summer breeze was passing by. Very calming and peaceful.
Giants
I have no idea why but I really loved the giant mech that Lloyd was using for most of the season. Super cool.

Boreal was awesome, really neat design. His summoning soundtrack and Zane tapping his staff on the ice. Man, that was cold.

Little drama. I love Ninjago so I can say this with confident meaning of offense, I felt none of the soap-opera drama that ninjago usually is. I am very content with this season all the way with no complaints. (Minus the Wu and Pixal episodes. They were nice additions, but boring).
Overall the Ice chapter is 10/10 and I can totally go back and rewatch it again.

BEHOLD! Nyanko-sensei expressions.
You dare touch my property!

Always watching, always listening, always here. My favorite expression. It shows how much Madara cares. He listens, understanding Natsume's feelings and stuggles through the worst, best, saddest, and angriest times of his life. Connecting both of them in the supernatural and human world together.

BETRAYAL. Seeing Natsume with another cat.

Mm yes pet me more, I love it

#natsume yuujinchou#takashi natsume#Master kitty cat#Love how his beast and cat form look the same when Natsume pets him. He loves it either way.

Character analysis: Spirit animals book series.
Shane
*Spoiler warning for all books! *

Btw, this cover is not how I picture him in my mind, he looks cooler then that. 😎
Background: Shane, Crown Prince of Stetriol, carries the weight of a broken kingdom on his shoulders. His bloodline’s curse began with his ancestor, Feliandor, the first reptile king, whose reckless war with the Greencloaks not only led to the downfall of Stetriol but also caused the world to forget them. The kingdom’s fall was sealed when the nectar, a precious substance that allowed humans to bond with their spirit animals, was taken away. Without the nectar, those who summoned spirit animals fell victim to the bonding sickness—an illness that twisted the mind and body, driving both the humans and their animals insane and sick, sometimes even leading to death.
Shane witnessed the devastation firsthand. His father, and his older sister, both succumbed to the sickness, their once sane minds lost to madness and pain. But unlike them, Shane was spared from the disease, a cruel twist of fate. This was due to Zeref, a dark and manipulative figure who introduced Shane to the bile—a forbidden substance that allowed him to bond with a saltwater crocodile named Grahv. The bile temporarily saved the people of Stetriol, and those with the bonding sickness like Drina. Offering a brief respite from the sickness, but it came at a heavy price. Those who drank the bile controlled their partners and became slaves to Gerathon the serpents control.
After the war: Those who had consumed the bile could no longer summon their spirit animals. Instead of a separate entity by their side, the bile caused them to merge with their animal partners, taking on their traits. Shane gathered an army of former conquerors who drank the bile and also suffered the consequences of merging. He created the Redcloaks, and with his new army, was dedicated to saving Erdas from another world-ending threat.
To love about his character: Shane has experienced a great deal of hardship and loss in his life. More so than Rollan, known as the book's tragic orphan. He lost his mother to sickness.Watched Drina suffer from the bonding sickness. His father also succumbed to the sickness and was murdered by Zeref.During the war, his uncle Gar and Drina were both killed.Shane lived in a poor, isolated nation, forever cursed from a war started by his ancestor. His nation, Stetriol, faced relentless difficulties, from the bonding sickness to a crippling lack of resources necessary for survival. Shane knew he had to make a change, even if it meant staring another war. In the end, he was betrayed by those who once stood by him. His defeat in the war was not in vain, his people were saved. The Greencloaks worked alongside the other nations to help Stetriol heal, and the dependency on the nectar of Ninani was no longer needed, freeing his people from living in fear of bonding sickness. At last, Stetriol was no longer forgotten.
Shane’s life has always been complicated, making him a deeply complex and fascinating character. The first eleven years of his life were spent in poverty, watching his nation, his family, and himself suffer from the consequences of the bonding sickness. This curse his ancestor left on the nation after his death during the first war, left Shane to clean up the mess—albeit in his own messy way. Faced with two choices, he chose action. He could either watch his kingdom die off, torn apart by sickness and isolation, or he could fight against the nations that had taken everything from Stetriol.
His early life on Stetriol and the war claimed the lives of his family—his mother, father, uncle, and sister—all leaving Shane as the last surviving member of the royal family. While his father, a cruel and sick man, and his uncle, Gar, a heartless war criminal, left little to grieve, Shane deeply cared for his sister, Drina. Her death scarred him. What makes his character even more compelling is how subtly his grief is shown. In the aftermath of Drina’s death, Shane was forced to press on with his mission, leaving little room for his inner turmoil to surface. Later, however, one of his stories is devoted to him hunting down the woman responsible for her death, demonstrating his love for his sister and his desire for vengeance.
Shane is a morally gray archetype. He is neither wholly good nor purely evil. His war with the Greencloaks resulted in catastrophic losses—destroyed cities, countless lives lost, and emotional scars across Erdas. While he wasn’t the mastermind, Shane was a willing participant and led his army in pursuit of Stetriol’s survival. Despite his destructive choices, his motives were rooted in a desperate bid to save his people. In the second series he builds another army to help Erdas from another world ending threat. He saves Abeke and Rollan on multiple occasions. Brought many children to the safety of his new base after their spirit animals were stolen by Zeref. In the final battle against Zeref and his new mind controlled army, Shane makes a sacrifice to help the heroes. Erdas was saved due to his continuous efforts and sacrifice.
Shane’s life is marked by tragedy, loss, and immense burdens. From his earliest days, he was plagued by fear of the sickness and war with Erdas, bearing the weight of his nation’s suffering and his own personal grief. His life began in turmoil, treachery and war, continued under the shadow of responsibility and leadership and ended with a selfless act of heroism.
That's what I admire about him! His life has been shrouded in a gloomy cloud of difficult decisions, casualties, and leadership. He went to battle for his people, for Stetriol's freedom, and lost much. He got back up and formed an army that embraced Erdas' old foes, who were filled with regret and shame from their criminal actions and personally gave them a reason to live. An 11-year-old kid who fought in a war to a 15-year-old who provided hope to people who had lost it and saved countless lives as a new man determined to be better than he was before. A bold and courageous leader through and through. What a fantastic transformation and a lovely journey of Shane’s character!!
Shane has some awesome standout moments. Spoiler warning for those who don't want to be spoiled, this does say word for word my favorite Shane moments in the books.
Wild Born: Winning Against Meilin: Shane defeats Meilin in a fight, showcasing the fruits of his training in Steteiol. This victory is particularly impressive because Meilin has been established as an incredibly skilled and talented warrior showing off Shane’s exceptional combat skills in the first book.
Book of Shane #4: Fighting Crocodiles Bound and facing crocodiles, he still manages to hold his own. Winning with a level head and physical strength.
Immortal Guardians: Battling Great Beasts Shane takes on Zeref’s mind-controlled Great Beasts in jaw-dropping feats of strength:
Dropkicking Suka (the giant polar bear), knocking her unconscious.
Catching Araxes horns (the giant ram) mid-charge, then slamming him into the ground with sheer force.
4: Broken Ground: Cornered by Abeke & Rollan: When Abeke and Rollan corner him, Essix, the falcon, swoops in to attack. Shane flips around and catches her by the throat, she scratches him with her talons to try to escape but is left unscathed thanks to the scales on his skin that act like armor.
Attitude and Impact in the Second Series.
Throughout Immortal Guardians, Broken Ground, The Return, and Burning Tide, Shane’s cool-like attitude and short but impactful scenes in the books carried the first four books in the second series.
Hope you enjoyed this if you are a fellow spirit animal reader. If not, and you end up getting interested in the books, well then …. Have fun reading them, they are great! BYE!

I actually read that post not too long ago, it was good. I made this specially to mention both Madara and Tanuma. Since both of them are extremely important in Natsume's life and we wouldn't see the smile we all love from Natsume if it weren't for both of them. BOTH are irreplaceable. And yes, it is absolutely amazing seeing all of the characters and how they interact with each other. I've got a different/similar post coming up about all the people important to Natsume, cause lets face it, Natsume wouldn't be him if it weren't for any one of his closest friends and family.
Natsume’s two bridges
Madara and Tanuma are Natsume’s closest and best friends in the two different worlds he lives in.
Tanuma is known to be a bridge for both the human and Yokai world for Natsume. His minor spiritual powers, able to sense Yokai and see vague shadows of them is a big help to Natsume. Tanuma’s calm, rational, and cautious personality keeps Natsume calmly rooted in stressful situations. Natsume is the type who relies more on his sight which has occasionally misled him to see the truth, with Tanuma present, he is able to stay calm, listen, and take decisive action. Since childhood, no one has believed Natsume, they called him a liar, and judged him for his strange behavior. The only other human who did not harshly judge Natsume is Yuriko Ogata. Tanuma is the first friend he ever had who learned of his secret and didn’t judge him. He was able to understand and sympathize. Be the calming voice that brings him back from his chaotic world. It’s no wonder Tanuma is a bridge to both worlds. These two share a special friendship.
Madara, put simply, is Natsume’s security blanket. Like Tanuma, he is also a bridge in both the human and Yokai world. While he can’t help Natsume improve social interactions with people, he is able to give him a sense of security and safety. Without those, Natsume has to constantly keep his guard up, and expect to be attacked by Yokai and have no rescuer. The calm and happy Natsume we see socially wouldn’t exist because Madara is no longer there to protect him, to be a constant comfort and support. Madara fails a lot when it comes to protecting Natsume, but Natsume is able to be around people because he knows he is safe, even if he is attacked, his rescuer will come. Madara is a bridge in the Yokai for his brash and loud personality. The yokai world is a high stress world, as we have seen multiple times Madara’s slaps to the cheek and brutal honesty surprisingly come in handy in those stressful moments. A rough slap or headbutt immediately pulls Natsume out from a panic or worried thoughts. You could also say that since Natsume met Madara, he met the Yokai who eventually became the dog’s circle, and all the kind Yokai unlike the ones who traumatized and hated him in his childhood. Natsume was able to understand the actions of a few yokai from his childhood due to seeing the good side of yokai because meeting Madara allowed that good side to show.
Together, Tanuma the human. And Madara the self-proclaimed bodyguard are both bridges in the human and yokai world that allows Natsume to live a comfortable life.

Really though, I never expected the "shut up pervert" from Misuzu. He gets so funny when he's like this.
