so i need to rant about this. I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE MODEL EUROPEAN UNION CONFERENCE IN STRASBOURG BUT IT GOT ‘’POSTPONED’’ BCUZ OF CORONAVIRUS. I’m so angry about this and they let us know very recently that i already had the plane tickets and i collected all the documents to apply for the damn french visa. i learned the news at night and i had a visa appointment in the early morning. thank god, i didnt have the chance to apply for it, anyway my tickets are a waste now and who knows when they’ll have the conference.

The change of Proto-Indo-European *dwóh₁ ‘two’ to Classical Armenian erku is a well-known example of an apparently bizarre sound change. Another good example is *bráh₂tēr ‘brother’ > ełbayr. According to Wiktionary this is the result of a metathesis of initial stop + *r clusters to *r + stop (which is still pretty weird) followed by epenthetic vowel insertion and dissimilation.
