Thoughts on the NYC Marathon
So I'm worried. I've never run a marathon before. I've run plenty of halfs and have at least 30 triathlons under my belt but I've never run 26.2. It's kinda scaring me. It's hard to admit - I'm 36. I've seen unimaginable things and I've been hurt like you couldn't believe, but running 26 miles scares me. It's almost insane. I'm worried I won't finish. I'm worried my body will give out on me. I worry that I haven't trained enough. I worry my friends and family will be disappointed. I'm worried about failure. In the end I know that 99% of what I worry about will never come true. It's the 1% that feeds the fear. I'm a warrior. And I'm a worrier. And I'll never say die. PERVINCO ACROCERAUNIA

4 miles
Nice run today but my quads hurt from the first long (7mile) run I did this year. Still it's nicer to run outside then inside.

Outdoor run
Today was the first day in 2015 I got to run outside. It was great to feel the sun on my face and the wind pushing me. I live for sunny days when it feels like the sun goes down deep into the evening and I can run forever. 5 miles in 41 minutes 24 seconds. Tonight's electro soundtrack is House Mix 35 by DJ Steve Munster.

But then I started running. And when I started running, I started dreaming. It couldn’t be helped. The mind works as hard as the body does during exercise.

Winter treadmill series (enough already)
It's March 7th and I still can't #run outside because of all this snow. At this rate I won't be able to get outside until the NYC Marathon. 45 minute treadmill long haul - running by time, not distance. Stretch for 5 minutes 1 minute mile warmup @ 6.7 mph Run @ 7.6 mph for 15 minutes Increase to 7.8 mph for 15 minutes Increase to 7.9 mph for 10 minutes Decrease to 7.5 mph for 4 minutes 45 minutes = 5.67 miles Progressive House music soundtrack by @djmetro-six Walk it out to cool down. #electrohouse #progressivehouse

"We runners are all a little nutty, but we’re good people who just want to enjoy our healthy, primitive challenge. Others may not understand running, but we do, and we cherish it. That’s our only message." —John J. Kelley
