Arin is like my favorite wannabe anime protagonist ever, and I have so many reasons for that- Like I mentioned, Arin shares a lot of similarities with Kai- but here's the thing about that, his humble roots put a twist on his character we haven't seen before. He grew up like an average middle class kid in the suburbs of Ninjago city, and was humbled even further when the merge turned his entire life upside down. He wasn't under the impression that he was anything other than someone completely average- and this make's Sora's past such a wonderfully written contrast to his own, because she WAS someone special- but it was for the wrong reasons. She knows exactly how capable she is and that fucking terrifies her. They have such a wonderful dynamic and it's because of the fact that even though they're very similar in nature, the context of their pasts are almost perfectly opposite and their views and opinions are thus complimentary. It's just- augh I mean it when I say the writing blew me away in dragons rising

Did Oni headcanons a while ago so here are Dragon ones!

- literally the dogs ever. have you seen chompy. and Riyu. and zippy.

- Live longer!!! obviously.

- cant shapeshift so like... just big dragon idk what to tell ya man

- They tend to mark things with not only scent but just. their stuff. And they *know* if you touch it.

- Source dragons are the only ones that can speak telepathically. Elemental ones speak more woth actions/gestures/mannerisms

- dragons have many personalities that may be influenced by if theyre an elemental one or not! Like how Kai is hotheaded, or Cole is more grounded.

- Justice driven! Rarely evil. Literally dragons are the representative of good. while oni are the reps of evil. They prefer to understand whats going on rather than fighting

- Instinct to rip apart Oni but wont if it puts themself in a dangerou position

Dragon Hybrid notes

- Dog-like behavior, which may feel like ADHD

- Lives longer!!

-sometimes has dragon traits depending on how much of a dragon they are! Ex; Horns, tail, sharp teeth, forked tongue, wings. Paw pads.. claws, scales.

- Grows much taller than Oni hybrids may

- third eyelid. its gross ik but its true. goofy oppurtunity.

- hate of oni/oni hybrid but not as strong as full dragon

- dragon hybrids w/ elements (even not being an elemental master) can control said element to a degree, or speak through it

- spin fast while fly: make portal to other realm.

- seeing in the dark/glowing eyes

- may have longer hair! most likely, or hair in general grows quicker. more commonly on face or head.

- if said hybrid has scales or claws, getting sand in them is a nightmare. Get water!!! quick!!!

i havent finished watching dragons rising im on like episode four but apparently theres a new wind ninja?? and lloyd goes “oh so youre the new elemental master of wind? i knew the last one, i already like you more” or something like that (thats just what ive heard anyway i have no idea tbh)

so true + i’ve seen people say that pride isn’t for kids and that kids shouldn’t be there. like what? queer kids deserve a place to belong, not to mention with all of the anti queer legislation going through schools and how awful your peers can be at that age, these kids deserve a place where for once they aren’t outcasted. but you’re gonna kick them out of pride too? i know i don’t really have a following but i wanna get it out there: don’t say you want to protect queer kids if you won’t offer them a safe space at pride.

I think about my first pride parade every pride month because it has me repulsed by anything pride related. It makes me so angry I just have to repeat it to everyone non stop. 9 year old me just wanted to be in a safe place with people like me and see pretty drag queens. Instead, it was an uncomfortable experience. Why do we advertise pride as an all ages event if it’s definitely not one? I understand that kink has always been apart of pride and I have no problem with kinks being at pride. My problem is with children being encouraged to celebrate in a place where they can see grown hairy pups and doms. 9 year old me didn’t know the history and shouldn’t have to had been exposed to it. I don’t blame my mother for taking me there either because she was trying to be supportive and likely was told it was a safe, fun place for baby gays too.

I wish there was an all ages day time parade and then kinky night life. We can’t just expose baby gays to this shit just because it has hIstOryyy. Children are children even if they’re LGBTQ. Children don’t need to know the history of kink at pride.
