~ I know it’s a recurring theme with me, but guess who’s back :’) This time, I have a summer and a clearer head, I’ll actually be able to write. Just spent some time revamping my blog, I’ll actually look into starting threads in a couple of days. If anyone is up for starting up any threads, I’m all open! Hit me up.

Aerybel was minding her business, refitting some straps on her gear while she sat at the couch. It was calming, sewing away at the leather to fix it up, and it didn’t take too many materials. She began humming to herself as she worked and she felt content. When Nor sat by her, she was glad to have some company, even if that company laid his head down on her lap and slowly drifted to sleep. 

She was humming quietly until she realized that he was actually asleep. She didn’t blame him, it was really late, after all, but it made her smile to see him there with her. Aerybel felt her heart flutter in warmth just as she continued doing what she was doing.

Aerybel let out a soft chuckle, “It’s not for the lack of trying, that’s for sure.” She sighed and closed the little journal she held and sat up properly. “Besides, I’ve never stayed in one place long enough to do anything so... permanent.”

“You know, I would have better luck figuring out the answer to that if they didn’t try to kill me most of the time,” Aerybel stated matter-of-factly. She sighed and looked away with a quizzical expression, now actually thinking about the answer to that question.

“Just like that?” asked Aerybel, leaning back on her seat. “What more can you tell me?” It wasn’t the first time she was curious about what he did, the contracts and the Dark Brotherhood itself, but it was the first time she was interested in knowing about it. At least about how it all worked.

Aerybel smiled brightly at the sight of Sophie and she went down on her knee, reaching out to hold her hands with hers. “I’ll definitely stay if you make me some too,” she grinned, playfully and gently pulling at Sophie’s hands. “Have you eaten anything today?” the mer asked, wondering if she should cook something for her after the tea.

“Anybody in here?”

A pause, before a careful hint of movement around the corner of a door as Sophie peers out at the womer, a wide grin appearing on her features once she sees who it is. “Papa is out doing some hunting right now, but you can stay and wait for him if you want.” Another wide grin. “I was just getting ready to make some tea.”
