okay - so i'm learning resident evil fanart seems to get the most interaction as opposed to my other artworks! which is fine, i love my Resi series of fanart, but i'm particularly proud of my '60s and '70s mixed media art too! ah well, i won't complain :]

I actually penciled the initial outline last summer. I struggled a lot with it, and I scrapped it. I especially struggled with his face, hair, and head. Last night, I opted to at least try and finish the drawing before giving up on it entirely. And now...? This is one of my personal favourites in my Resi fanart series! It took me almost a year to figure it out, but I finally realised I could just not bother with drawing his head because I can just shadow it out! Official art of Ethan is like that, and lots of other artists' fanart is too, so it's a perfect fit!

So yeah! Don't give up on your own drawings, even if you don't think you like them!

Claire Redfield was the second Resi drawing I've made in my little series, way back when. Her appearance was mostly based on that of the 2019 remake. So yesterday, I opted to draw her again, trying to make her look exactly the same to the best of my ability, but this time with... her classic 1998 PS1 outfit! I'm pleased with how Claire turned out! She's one of my favourites.

As a sidequest to my Resident Evil fanart project, I've been toying around with the idea of drawing protagonists from other classic survival horror titles, as well.

So here's Jennifer from Clock Tower! I figured I'd share this, but I'm not actually all too happy with this one. There are parts of it I'm proud of, such as the dress, scissors, and some of the colouring/shading, but overall I just feel like this one doesn't really "fit" with the Resi drawings. And I want it all to be one single set of sorts. I'd like to take another stab (pun unintended lol) at Jennifer some time in the future.
