hey !! i've decided to move nod to another blog ! same url , he can be found at @lcafman ! i've been having a wonderful time roleplaying here , but i think he's long overdue for a fresh start . all current threads will be ended , but i will be posting some fresh starter calls over there within a day or so ! @aethramusings will be remaining here , but please beware that activity for both blogs will be spotty as i wrap up the final few months of my education . i hope to see you guys there !

dammon was currently deeply invested in his project — a commission for the son of a wealthy merchant , who had offered to pay quite a bit for dammon’s ‘ finest creation ‘ — not that dammon’s work fluctuated based on how much the buyer could offer . however , he did know that this particular costumer had a keen eye — and a loud mouth . any imperfections could quickly turn into a sour review . a few of his merchant friends had chastised the tiefling for taking the commission , warning him that any slip up could result in a severe decrease in business .

but the blacksmith was never one to shy away from a challenge .

and a challenge it was . for the past three days , it felt as if all of his free time was poured into perfecting the sword — ensuring this was work he would be proud of . unfortunately , no matter what , it seemed to fall short of his expectations . to say a familiar face wandering into his shop was a relief was an understatement — it was a welcome distraction .

“ hold on , be right with you — “ the tiefling called , unknowingly wiping a streak of coal onto a chiseled cheek before turning around to face eve . “ eve ? “ a welcome glimmer settled in his gaze .

“ well , a man’s gotta put food on the table somehow , “ he replied , adorned with a good natured grin . “ what brings you in at this hour ? uh — excuse the mess . i’m working on a . . big project right now . “

Honestly, Eve was glad that Dammon was around. He didn't have to be, and he certainly didn't have to help them with anything, but he did, out of the kindness of his heart and his want to protect Karlach. That was something that they could both get behind: neither of them wanted Karlach to go anywhere.

So, Eve had brought Dammon a present, just because she could. He was always working, but something told her that he liked to do that, so she never pressed it. Instead, she brought him a fruit tart courtesy of her own making, and a couple of rare metals she didn't have any use for that he might.

"You're working late...not that I'm surprised," she smiled.
