A rather short figure with shaggy brown hair and golden eyes flits over to the god. He has small feathered wings behind his ears that flap smoothly.

"Fa- Uh- Lord Hermes. Do you have a moment to speak?"

"Hm?" The messenger god had just been packing a few letters away into a satchel, clearly he was about to take off to deliver them

"Oh uh, yes I suppose I do!" His wings flapped slightly.

He wasn't exactly that eager to start delivering the letters, so this was good

"Lead the way. I've never really been around Olympus, so I don't know my way around."

Aethris gestures for the other god to lead, following dutifully as he takes in all of Olympus.

"Then we've no reason to quarrel. But I can see my presence puts you on edge. I will take my leave. But if you wish to find me before you leave, simply make your way into the forest and I will find you."

The stranger says clearly, backing off more in the direction of the woods.

Having stopped at a small, seemingly uninhabited island for the night, the crew have set up camp on the beach.

Scouts into the forest report seeing mostly signs of animals but also a faint unease, the feeling of being watched.

Odysseus decided to stay up a little bit due to the constant reports of a looming presence, making sure no one was actually watching them whilst they rested on the beach.

Aethris just nods, looking around as the world goes by, amazed. "Where do we find them?"

Aethris did his best to keep up, face hardening in concentration as he flew but able to match the other god's speed.

"Who are we delivering to first?"

The figure stills, hands still raised. A voice then comes, masculine but higher pitched and cracking on a couple of the words.

"I am not here to harm you. I brought a... Gift. But I can leave. I was just curious who had landed on my island."

"Oh, I'm Aethris, by the way." He says, realizing he never introduced himself.

The boy's own small wings flutter in reply. He bounces on the balls of his feet.

"That would be amazing."

The figure stills at the movement, head turning in the man's direction, eyes glinting unnaturally in the moon light. It slowly bends over and sets down whatever it was holding before backing off slowly, hands up in a gesture of peace as it takes a few steps back towards the forest before stopping.

"Could I? I'm told you're very fast, I'm not sure I could keep up..."

He asks, letting his hair fall back in front of his face.

"It does sound like fun."

A little after sunset there is movement from the edge of the forest. A humanoid figure coming out from between the trees. It is difficult to make out much detail in the dark, but they seem on the shorter side.

The figure steps out onto the sand, walking slowly and carefully in the direction of the camp but still keeping a good distance.

"Quite an interesting family you have. I hope I can meet more of them soon enough. I've mostly been alone for a long time."

Aethris takes the letters quickly starts reading. With one hand he tucks his long bangs behind his ear so he can see better, revealing a nasty, twisted scar covering a good portion of the side of his face and down his neck.

As he gets through the letters, he can't help but start to grin, reading of the petty squabbles of immortal beings.

"I didn't realize there was going to be this much... drama."

The boy's face lights up at the enthusiastic response.

"There is that much fighting and gossip among the gods? I guess I haven't met many of them yet, but that seems like it could be troublesome."

The figure, appearing to be perhaps a young man around 16 or so, settled down and his little wings tucked back behind his ears. Despite the enthusiasm with which he approached, he seems to now be at a bit of a loss as for what to say.

"I just... I wanted to know more about the current goings on on Olympus." He spoke clearly, before adding an additional comment under his breath.

"And about my family."

I don't really understand this. I think I'm supposed to introduce myself though, so here goes.

I am Aethris, God of Survival and Perseverance.

I suppose I am male but I'm not particularly attached to human genders

I am not sure exactly how old I am. I am young by divine standards and older than any living mortal.

Oh, and my father is the Messenger God. I guess that's kind of important.
