Island Update <3

It's a little rough around the edges right now but! It's in the skeletal stage right now. Once I start filling it out with dirt and grass it'll start coming together :) For now, I'm just trying to get the shape. Gotta trust the progress!

The underbelly is looking a little scary right now....

But I have plans for this space too! It won't remain an empty shell forever! Exciting things planned for this place....

yes, there ARE obsidian walls in there. I also need black concrete, blackstone and coal blocks. And more obsidian <3 Partly an aesthetics choice but also....

I need the blast resistance because of aforementioned ocean biome....

I felt so clever making this

Just a little update on my biggest project as of yet- one trench is about halfway done... three and a half more to go <3

This has taken me months of digging, and my friends are really awesome, helping me with it <3 I would not have nearly so much progress without them!

Note to self- next time I make a perimeter, don't choose an ocean biome......

Now for why I've made like no progress on anything but the mansion, here's a project I'm working on in another server...... I currently have: drained plots and some holes

and I also have six beacons

I'm completely normal about building in minecraft <3

Not really a log update but..... arch!!! I have been agonizing over this archway for ages now! Mind you I think I need to shift it one block over so it’s not flush against the wall, but!!!! I am very proud that it actually has CURVATURE and it’s not just... pointy, like just stairs so often do.

Small win for me!

Hello!

It’s been a while since I updated. A lot of progress has been made, though we’re not quite done yet! Here’s my progress report- a lot of the inside has been done, though I haven’t done too terribly much on the outside...

Fun fact! Every single one of these pieces of blackstone has been mined BY HAND. We don’t have a Piglin Trading Farm, so what you’re seeing here is a product of me and a beloved friend spending hours upon hours mining in the nether. I’m not sure of exact numbers, but it’s well more than ten shulkers’ worth of blackstone- and I still don’t actually have enough! I’ll need to make another trip into the nether, soon- especially for more gilded blackstone!

There isn’t much in the way of texturing yet, but it’s coming- right now I’m focusing on the shape of it all.

Hello! Update update!

I’ve been working on my temple! There’s no texturing or detail work yet, I plan to add them in later when I carve out the windows and doors, but I’ve begun filling in the walls now! Since I’m going to go through later to do texturing for now I’m just throwing things down that I have on hand- I need so much blackstone for this project I’ve nearly mined out an entire bastion, and I’ll take what I can get right now. Besides- eventually I’ll be using most of these blocks anyway.

Here’s some progress photos!

There’s still so much work to be done; doors and windows, details, proper texturing, the landscape, and not to mention the chamber beneath the temple... and of course the interior. So much to do, so little time! And so much blackstone- I only have one and a half shulkers left. About time I’ll need to go and get more! Mining blackstone’s not very fun. I might have some regrets over my choice of material, but it’s fine. I’m too stubborn to give up.

I need to fix that spire. It’s bothering me. I have an idea though, I think it’ll be much better than what I have going on right now. But that’s a problem for future me to figure out! For now, I have errands to attend to. Until next time! Hopefully I’ll have all of the walls put up by then!

I’m a little late withthis one, but the winter holidays have passed us by. I was so busy during this time, but I found a little time to celebrate!

One of our friends built a lovely tree and our friend @pennsschematics​ left a gift for everyone under it! 

I opened my gift on the 25th!

Building materials for my temple!!! I love it, especially the quartz. Quartz is such a pain to get when your trading hall is.... lacking. Mm. Anyway, I had to give something in return!

It’s not as spectacular as materials but I didn’t have much to give. Hopefully this was alright! <3 (The soup is saturation soup so don’t worry, I didn’t poison them!)

I then took a little trip to Origin Isle! It really is a beautiful place, I took some pictures, too! Here are my favorites!

(That last one was just for fun- how could I resist?)

I also spent New Years in Origin Isle for the fireworks show, but honestly just the auroras alone are worth the trip!

Unfortunately my pictures of the fireworks didn’t turn out so well, but they were spectacular themselves! I have a video as well, but I wasn’t in a good spot when I took the video, so here- have the best picture I took!

I didn’t get much progress done on my base this past holidays, but I still had a great time! Remember, it’s not always the end of the journey that’s most important- be sure to enjoy the journey itself. Take breaks if you need and go travel, have a little adventure! You projects aren’t going anywhere!

Welcome to my Base <3

Hello! Aethry here, welcome! This is just a log for me to share with everyone what I’m doing. I have big plans! 

Here’s my camp! And my, uh. One of my chest monsters. But it’s okay! It’s just a temporary camp that I’ve been sleeping in for... well... months now. But it’s fine! Sleeping under the stars is so nice! Mind you when it rains it’s a bit. Hm. Well. Anyway!

Here is my enchanting setup! Not much to say really, it’s an enchanting setup.

And here is my Nether Portal! It’s also temporary, I plan to move it somewhere else once my... real base is done. It’s taking me a while, but it’s on the way! Speaking of, you might have noticed it in the background.......

This is- or, will be- the Temple of the Void. I’m still figuring the spires out- they’re a bit too short right now, I think. But when I figure it out, I’ll start the actual construction. It will be glorious. And!! This isn’t even the main part of this build! I haven’t even started the main part- the chamber beneath. Hehe

Here is my trading hall! It’s small and incomplete, but I like it. It’s cozy! What? It looks like a prison? No no, they’re very happy here. It’s okay. Look, they even have a golem!

And here are my personal farms! Two wool farms- the larger one is a black wool farm and the smaller one is for color and white wool- a four-level creeper farm, and a very small and not-very-efficient sugar cane farm... I’m not very good at redstone, it’s all Ancient to me... But anyway!

There we go! A short tour of my areas! I’m looking forward to sharing my finished projects in the future!
