                       the   entire   situation   was   wrong—so   entirely   goddamn   wrong   and   elias   was   finding   himself   consumed   by   all   of   it.   it   hadn't   been   his   plan,   really,   to   show   up   and   find   himself   face   to   face   with   the   love   of   his   life.   he's   never   been   one   to   chalk   things   up   to   fate,   but   there   has   to   be   a   reason   that   time   brought   them   together   once   again.   it   was   wrong   of   him,   so   abhorrently   and   utterly   wrong   of   him,   to   stir   things   up   like   this   again   and   cause   craze   in   her   life   especially   when   she   was   someone's   soon   to   be   bride.   he   can't   stand   that   thought,   though,   every   time   pushing   it   down   and   trying   not   to   let   it   fill   him   with   a   wave   of   different   emotions.   ❝   this   wasn't   my   plan,   sonny,   you   have   to   know   that.   ❞   elias   had   planned   to   go   the   rest   of   his   life   without   knowing   what   the   hell   sonny   was   up   to,   even   if   it   ate   him   alive—he   needed   to.   the   worst   thing   she   can   do   is   say   no,   he   thought   to   himself.   he's   scanning   her   face,   searing   for   anything   and   everything   that   might   indicate   she   still   has   feelings   for   him.   maybe   a   glimmer   in   her   eye,   or   the   way   she   would   scrunch   her   nose   before   saying   she   loved   him.   ❝   i   know,   i   know.   ❞   his   words   spill   out   of   his   mouth,   knowing   she's   completely   right   almost   knocks   the   wind   out   of   him   but   he   stands   over   her   still,   a   few   more   small   strides   before   he's   narrowed   the   proximity   almost   entirely.   ❝   it   can   be   me,   sonny.   ❞   for   the   first   time   in   his   entire   life,   he   could   actually   see   himself   being   married.   a   wrap   around   porch,   big   yard   for   the   kids   and   their   dogs   to   play,   two   rocking   chairs   next   to   each   other   for   them   to   sit   and   admire   the   life   they'd   built.   he   wanted   her,   it   was   undeniable,   but   he   was   terrified   that   it   wouldn't   be   reciprocated.

the second he said it don't marry him her entire world tilted on it's axis. everything in her froze. the storm rumbled in the distance, becoming even louder in the background but nowhere near as deafening. she stared at him, blinking like maybe she misheard, just maybe she misunderstood. but no, she heard everything in a perfect tune. the words still hanging in the air between them.  i   still   love   you,   sonny.   don't   marry   him. her heart pounded against her ribcage and sonny could feel the weight of the ring pressing into her skin. what gave him the audacity to come knocking and dropping a bomb on her like this. she felt dizzy, like she could've fell over at any given moment.  ❝   what?  ❞  she asked as if she needed to hear him clarify exactly what he meant, but there was no way of simplifying it.  ❝   no no, elias.  ❞ she looked away, maybe if she didn't meet his eyes, it would hurt less.  ❝   you don't get to say that, not after everything .. not after you let me go.   ❞ her voice came out low, sudden cracks forming in-between her sentence. ❝   i begged for you. i tired so hard to get you to see what we had, and you made me feel stupid for wanting a future with you.  ❞ sonny looked back up at him again and god, she still saw the boy she fell madly in love with. the boy who used to make her laugh until her stomach hurt, who held her together when everything got hard, and that was the worst part of all. ❝   you don't get to come in here now, after i've built something with someone who chose me .. he loves me, ��and .. ❞ she paused, the silence too loud for comfort. ❝   it should've been you, i want it to be you, elias.  ❞

so, i just wanted to make a little post because i got some worrying news and i am just trying to keep everything sorted out. i took my beloved siamese babygirl to the vet today, and there is a possibility that she has squamous cell carcinoma (skin cancer). right now she is on a steroid to see if whatever's going on will clear up, but there's still going to be a few more vet appointments in my future and those are not cheap. i am open for requests/commissions, because i really need to keep the funds to take care of her. here is my ko-fi, you can also message me on tumblr to commission me and i have discord as well. thanks you.
