Tablo:  Throughout the entire time (3 years) it took to resolve the controversy, [Hye Jung, Tablo's wife] never once made it seem like she was experiencing any hardships.  

Host:  Even though it was probably really difficult for her.

Tablo:  Yes, it was probably even more difficult for her than for me.  Much more difficult.  But she always said, "It's okay, it's okay."

She told me to just cry it all out now and put an end to all of it.  She told me, "You're not someone who can't beat this.  You're stronger than this."

So, like a child, I cried and cried.

Host:  Did she not cry with you?

Tablo:  She didn't cry then, but when the whole controversy was resolved, one day, I asked her, "It was hard, wasn't it?"  And then she started crying really hard.  She had held it all in.  Even though she'd been wanting to cry, she thought it would, as a result, make me weaker.

Lucy Fostblade keeps being more and more doomed by the narrative as we go on.

She went to the mountains of chaos with her friend where all of them were introduced to this rage god where they went with a teacher they trusted. She was probably told this was Ruvina's sibling. Someone who probably made her adopt the domain of sorrow along with winter experiencing her siblings loss more deeply.

She decided to help. Handed in papers with a name she could not yet read in hopes of sharing some of the burden of this sorrow with a god she truly cared about. But the only way to come back as a believer of the rage god was to die.

Only in death did she realise that this is not the sibling her god loved. This is not the sibling she wanted to bring back. This is not the sibling who will bring her solace. So she denied revival. She accepted death because she knew that to not will mean more pain to Ruvina. She decided to stay in purgatory, not reuniting with her or coming back, until a girl in a tie-dye shirt allowing them a place with Cassandra. That too with a power of a god she loved and was struggling as well.

And yet. She has to watch as her friends fight and fight and fight getting angrier by the second to revive a tainted version of dawn that she died to keep in bay.

i think mikey is the only person draken doesn’t get jealous over when it comes to you. yeah, mikey’s a little shit sometimes. and yeah, draken gets pissed if he flirts too hard…. but he’s the runt of the ‘family;’ you get away with ruffling his hair and treating him like your kid brother even though you’re all adults and he’s a year older than you.

meanwhile, draken merely sits across the room as he watches, does whatever needs to be done…. paperwork, phone calls, planning the next meeting…. he waits patiently for mikey to have his fill. he rolls his eyes when the small statured man strolls over all sweaty and smug. with a shoulder check into mikey, he makes his way over to you.
