Chapter IX - Freedom
Gale found himself full of hope as he woke with the sun, Lorena sleeping peacefully in his arms. It was the her slow shallow breaths and the way the sun kissed her skin that kept him captivated long last his usual schedule. Placing a kiss on her forehead he sighs reluctantly starting his day, there was business to tend to. Heading into the bathroom he freshened himself up combing his hair and dressing according to the weather. He’d have to see marge off today and for the first time he found himself confident enough to look forward to a future without her. The gaping hole of longing and feeling inadequate had been filling slowly during her absence. Gale reckoned it had been gone for some time now but he didn’t know when. Heading downstairs he does his morning rituals brewing some coffee for Lorena before heading to the retreat. there were less and less patrons during this time of year since no one wants to be stuck in the middle of nowhere for months. Gale nods at his coworkers before spotting Marge in her finery, her golden curls styled perfectly. Pulling up a chair Gale sits only to receive one of marge’s heartwarming smiles.
“I’ve decided to stay for the winter in this place you love so much, we’ll have months to decide on our future” she says but his future was asleep in his bed. Would be for another thirty minutes or so.
“Marge-”
“Gale I know you built this place up and I know I left but please. I miss you”
“I thought we already discussed you’d be leaving. It won’t work” Gale repeats.
“I didn’t think you were serious - I thought it was a tough guy act” she says and Gale scoffs.
“Have your things ready in an hour - someone will drive you into town to catch the last train”
“Not you?!” She snaps.
“No Marge, not me” Gale says only for tears to well in Marge’s eyes.
“The world isn’t out to get you Gale, you used to be so brave and fearless there isn’t nothing that could hold you back and now you’re afraid of city living?” She cries breaking his heart.
The Gale from before the war was lost. Life was cruel and the world was ugly. He’d paid in more ways than she could ever know. Once upon a time it had been the vision of her that kept him going - for that reason along he couldn’t be too calloused with her.
“That Gale Cleven would’ve never let me go to Hollywood alone or leave here now”
“I’m sorry I’m not him anymore Marge” he mutters only for her to scoff. Somehow his actions made him a god like figure among men but less than a man to the woman he loved throughout the war. Gale stands reserved against having a row with her. He heads to the bar to collect breakfast from Rose and nods without words taking his serving and Lorena’s back to his home. There was no need for goodbyes - Marge would wind him up in a way that would chip away at him. Heading into his home he finds Lorena nursing her coffee. She senses the frustrated energy surrounding him as he puts down the breakfast.
“Good morning” Gale says cleaning the animosity from his tone.
“You have a few things to learn” Lorena mutters reaching for Gale who steps closer curiously. Taking his hand she draws him in, it takes Gale a moment to register her words meaning but then he does just before his lips touch hers.
“Good morning” Lorena responds.
Gale finds himself smiling. “I gave you a kiss this morning”
“What is there a limited number or something?” Lorena asks and he blushes. He’d been thinking the same thing since he laid eyes on her, she was somethin’ and the more he knew the more it felt like a fitting description.
“Gale” A woman’s voice says drawing the from their moment. Lorena looks up and sees the poster child for Gale Cleve, the barbie to his Ken. A blonde as beautiful as he is handsome. It made Lorena think of her ex-husband Reggie. They’d been just as equally yolked before the war. “So there is someone else” Marge whispers. Lorena knows the feeling all too well.
“She’s prettier than everyone says Gale” Lorena smiles attempting levity and consideration for such delicate matters. “Would you like a coffee?” Lorena asks ever the host.
“Please” Marge whispers only for Gale to pat Lorena’s leg getting up to make the coffee. Lorena could almost hear Marge’s thoughts aloud as she counted there were only two chairs at this kitchen table.
“Are you from around here?” Marge asks Lorena.
“No, I’m from the east coast”
“How’d you get here?”
“Bad fortune and then very good luck. I stayed here because Gale didn’t ask a lot of questions” I tell her.
“I’m sorry” Muttered and Gale wondered how it was that two women so spirited could be so civilized. Especially then Marge was just ready to have a row with him. But maybe that was the thing about Lorena, she made people comfortable.
“No need to apologize, it was nice meeting you Marge. I’ll let you two talk I’m gonna get ready for the day” Lorena smiles.
“Nice to meet you too …”
“Lorena” Lorena smiles.
“Lorena” Marge affirms shaking her hand.
It was the courtesy Lorena had never had, the other woman had never looked her in the eyes, she had only kept on adding fuel to the fire and disregarding he feelings. The kind of man she’d come to know Gale was blew Reggies character out the water. Whatever misguided voice made Marge chase fame wasn’t enough to keep her away. Lorena’s own pride was too big to plead with Reggie for what they had once had. Maybe men could never understand a woman’s pain but as a woman Lorena wouldn’t pile on.
“You love her?” Marge asks once Lorena’s bedroom door has closed.
“I do” Gale nods unable to deny it. “I didn’t plan on it but I do Marge” he sighs.
“She’s a good woman Gale?”
“How can you tell?”
“She isn’t gloating or self righteous. Is she a widow?” Are asks.
“Divorced” Gale mutters in response.
“Can you please just drive me to the station?” Marge asks with wet eyes.
“Okay” Gale relents.
“Thanks, tell her before you leave and tell her I said goodbye” marge says turning to wipe her own eyes. Nodding Gale heads up the stairs. He finds Lorena fussing with her hair.
“I’m gonna drive Marge to the station, she says goodbye” Gale says getting her attention.
“It’s the right thing to do. Tell her I said goodbye” Lorena nods.
“I’ve never met anyone like you?” Gale mutters planting a kiss on her forehead.
“If marge and Reggie hasn’t of messed up there’d be no us now” Lorena mutters being profound. Gale could feel adoration swelling for her. It was the kind of perspective that had been lost on him. He’d been bitter too long to see a silver lining.
“I’ll be back before sunset” he says embracing her.
“Drive safe”
“I will” his eyes sparkled with promise.
“Thank you for that, down there” Gale smiles feeling lucky to have her.
“Thank you for being you, so there’s no need to feel crazy” Lorena says a grand departure from the day before.
“Even when you are crazy I’ll always take your side in public” he winks headed for the door. Lorena smiles thinking that’s what marriage should be. Watching the car leave the grounds she found herself at her desk writing her hearts dearest thoughts, hopes and dreams, when she had driven up into the mountain she was just pieces. Her heart had been so broken she never thought it could be mended. She wanted to disappear and be forgotten. How could she be Lorena again, how could she smile through parties or be a pillar in the community among the women whose husbands were returning? How could she get out of bed and walk the paths she once did with Reggie only to see him with her replacement?
None of that mattered now.
It hadn’t for quite some time now, and it never would again. She could face him now if there was necessity for it. She could face both of them with her head held high. The city no longer had her heart. There was something about the wooden home with a stone fireplace and the smell of fresh logs burning. The travellers that pass by, the animals, the freedom and the fresh air. The friends she’d made in Rose and the guys. Gale. Gale whose reserves smiles and attention belonged to her in full. Gale who treated her kindly from the first day they met without requiring anything in return. He was beyond a decent man. She had never met anyone like him before and probably never would. It wasn’t what she was used to - there was no audience or now show. Gale’s devotion was in the little things, the quiet considerations that added up to mean mountains.

Chapter VIII - Promises
It was an impossibility for Gale, not worrying about Lorena. It hadn’t been something he was capable of since she’d walked into the retreat in all her finery. She’d been out of place then but resolute in making a way for herself. If he’d had known the the effect she was going to have on him then he wouldn’t have wasted so much time. But the ghost of Marge and Lorena’s ex-husband haunted them both. The retreat was their infirmary for a time and now they had been discharged back out into the world. Only it wasn’t the fresh air or the weather that saved as their rehabilitation. It had been each other. It was Gales routine, the fact that she could count the steps because he always made just those ones. It was the way he always left the coffee warm for her. It was the way she didn’t have to be sweet, or nice or all done up for him to treat her well. For Gale it was that she didn’t see him as broken. That she accepted their difference, that she was light in the darkest times and when she couldn’t be he’d be it for her.
But Gale had never been good with words.
Lorena goes to close her bedroom door only for it to be stopped by Gales boot. Tears well in her eyes as she fights against the tears of a second heartbreak and one she hadn’t planned on.
“Lorena come to bed” Gale repeats taking Lorena by surprise.
“But”
“But nothing, Marge is leaving in the morning”
“Why Gale? You love her, and you’re perfect together” Lorena swallows as the lump in her throat grows. Her words force Gale’s eyes closed.
“I don’t know how someone who sees it everyday in the mirror is so unfamiliar with perfection.” Gale says throwing Lorena for a loop. Stray tears cascade down her face as she tries to make sense of his words. Gale steps in closer wiping her tears away. Lorena was nothing like the women in town or the ones before marge that found anything to cling to. She was unaware.
“I’ll always love Marge but not like you think. I love you Lorena” Gale says finally. “I know you deserve better than a recluse but it’s no use pretending I’m fine now that I know what life is like with you I need you forever. I’ll ask your father for your hand, I’ll-”
Gales words are silenced by Lorenas lips. He’d been trembling, all wound up from his declaration. Now her full lips were on his and she was back where she belonged. His hands at her waist pulling her deeper into him as her arms wrap around his neck. The kiss is slow and physical and after a few moments Gale takes control walking Lorena back into the wall. One of his hands leaver her waist for her jaw drawing it in and deepening the kiss. It had been too long for the both of them. Too long since they’d indulged in meaningful physical connection or felt truly desired in a fulfilling way. The butterflies breaking free from Lorena’s stomach were unlike anything she had ever felt. Her heart was beating vibrantly in her chest. Passion, anticipation and excitement were at the forefront of her emotions, surpassed only by the desire to love and be loved. Lorena was sure no man could do it better. She had heard first hand accounts of how Gale took care of his men during the worst of times, she had witnessed how he’d been there for her when she was nothing more than a stranger and she was here now lost in the sensation of being held and kissed by Gale Cleven who had just declared his love for her.
The kiss breaks leaving her breathless but Gale doesn’t take a step back. She stays pressed against her like any distance could kill him. It was clear, even in the dimly lit lamp lighting that Gale was in love with her. Lorena’s eyes drink him in as she looks up into his blue eyes.
“I know you’re used to the finer things in life Lorena and I’ll work hard to make sure you’re happy and comfortable always.” He says between rugged breaths. He needed Lorena to know more than anything though the desire was there it was far more from lust he felt for her. The care was so deep it was in his bones.
“Gale, you don’t have to tell me - I know. You already have” Lorena whispers. Taking up the lamp Gale leaves her back into his room. He pulls back the sheets for the both of them ready for a good nights rest. He would send a telegram into town tomorrow to inquire about a diamond fit for her hand. A gold band seemed too plain for Lorena’s tastes. Sitting on the bed he pauses leaving his head only to find her still by the door. Only the idea of tradition was something Lorena no longer felt aligned with. She had done everything right once before. She has waited until marriage to lay with her ex-husband. She had been the pillar of virtue and a good woman and still it hadn’t paid any dividend. It had left her heartbroken and unfulfilled. Not anymore. Why should she? She pulls the ribbon fastening the neckline of her nightgown standing in a puddle of moonlight. The wide neckline allows the dress to fall to her feet leaving her free of clothing as she makes her way to Gale.
“I need you Gale” Lorena confesses.
There was so much unspoken tension between then, the looks and closeness had existed long before now. Thee’d been this unspoken. Thing since they had made the trip into the city together for that bloody hundredth reunion. Maybe it had been since then that Gale knew he could love her forever. But it was all coming to a head now and the image of her baring it all for him was almost more than he could bare. He was a man that was only here on earth because of his ability to survive. Reaching him she picks up the bedding and Gale does too covering her with it, shielding her from the cold winter night. They were body to body now and Lorena could feel her heart racing. She’d never been with anyone but her ex husband but they were divorced now and he’d broken those vows long before she had met Gale.
His lips find hers first, the kiss is soft and tender, his warm body radiating heat into hers. Mending the fear and hurt she had been feeling as she laid alone. This kiss was different, feelings had been exchanged and the weight of everything that had been said could not be taken away. They found themselves body to body, Gale found himself under a woman for the first time. He’d been willing to give her the world before but now the feeling of her wrapped around his manhood grinding for her own pleasure he knew there was nothing on earth that could keep him from her ever. He kissed her through her moans and took over when she found herself feeling spent. Stroking in and out of her was a high unlike no other. It felt so good he found himself trying not to think too much to last for her. He couldn’t stop kissing her to silence both of their moans, he couldn’t help but feel pride swell as the slickness between them grew from her wetness. He was saying his vows to her right there without words. He was ready to say I, Gale, take you, Lorena, for my lawful wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. I will love and honour you all the days of my life.
And unlike the one who had come before and broken those sacred vows.
Major Gale Cleven, would never forsake Lorena.

"WARRIOR ⛊" - Feyd-Rautha X Reader
⌈⊹₊ the fantasy archive ₊ ⊹⌉
ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 4.4K
ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: Feyd-Rautha X Reader
ᴘʟᴏᴛ: Feyd needs an Army, your planet has the best in the galaxy. Uncertain if he should deem your planet friend or foe he lands to treat with your father. It's not in his plans to meet a secret bastard daughter that quickly becomes the object of his fascination and desire. The reader is a warrior in this.
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: NSFW, 18+, intercourse and oral. Mild knife and blood aspects.
FAMILY ...
You watch sweat bead from your fathers forehead as you refill the cups for hour four of this council meeting. Your ears are astute while your eyes and head remain low. On a few occasions you look to your brother who you find is positively unimpressed with the strategy being put forth.
“To the Harkonnen we are a threat that is better eradicated, we can offer them nothing they wouldn't take on their own. An alliance is futile, they would only place us on the front lines to be killed en masse first when we are best saved for after the bombings” your brother speaks finally. Their future King.
“Then what would you have us do, wage all out war? Have you heard nothing of Feyd-Rautha” your father responds, sending a shiver down your spine. The screeching of a chair being pushed out sounds.
“Do as you wish and I will stand by it father” your brother snaps tossing his stone in the bowl as is custom. He walks off with his flowing robes leaving the room silent. You remain as his second pair of ears, only no progress is made before the meeting comes to an end. Relieved of your duties as a cupbearer you head into your chambers to be dressed for combat training. Looking up you see ugly ships in the shy looking to land. The alarms sound signalling for the people to adhere to curfew protocols as the Harkonnen land. You pause from what you had planned and send a communication to the armed forces to be ready for anything. You station your best fighters to disperse within the city, and those in training to man the evacuation routes and tunnels. Heading to the control room you find your brother looking at live footage of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen the new Baron and infinitely more treacherous than the first.
“Find me a weakness that saves our people” he says with his head bowed. You nod honoured to be trusted with the fate of the people. Swallowing you turn heading back to the palace to perform your duties.
LEGITIMACY …
It’s the next morning when you finally find Feyd-Rautha court is a shuddering mess of whispers and the palace has been purged of all women. The fear of being sullied by a Harkonnen is too much for the nobles to bear.
“They have been in council since dawn” the guard at the door says as you go to enter it gives you pause. “Women have been asked to leave. The foreign concubines have been brought in” he continues.
“Thank you” you nod understanding the need for fear but not welcoming it. Feyd-Rautha is Geidi Primes only heir and he is in your home world. “Do not cower, it is unbecoming of a warrior” you advise. Heading to the great hall you move stealthy among the men filtering all of their whispers. When they fall flat you look up to see him. Feyd-Rautha. The halls clear and you head outside knowing the route he’ll likely take to his quest quarters. You sit by the pools humming as you watch the floating lily pads, when a terrifying reflection looks at you through the water.
”I wish I was more frightened” you comment looking over at the Harkonnen legend. Feyd-Rautha, a man so feared few uttered his name aloud without shuddering. The stories and recollections that did follow were equally as harrowing, only right now all that stands before you is a man.
“Why should you be terrified?” Feyd asks, turning to the side like a predator ready to play with his food. You tap on a shield and the smile that escapes him is full and dimpled.
“I’ve heard enough stories to exercise caution.” You explain and he nods.
“Such as?”
“If you’re displeased you take the lives of those who’ve displeased you. If you are offended depending on the level, death can be very painful. And people whisper that you revel in it, they throw around big words” you speak candidly.
“Such as?” he asks intrigued.
“Tyrant, psychopath, madman, warlord” you disclose.
“I haven’t heard anything about you” he comments and if you were anyone else perhaps it would sting a little. Smiling, you nod appreciating the honesty in his remark.
“A great man has many sons, illegitimate daughters are only of use should the sons fail. I have five brothers - they’ve afforded me the freedom of invisibility.” you explain.
“Invisibility” Feyd repeats and you look him over again deciding to play with fire. You disengage the shield. “How does an invisible woman find a husband?” he probes.
“Husband?” You ask amused. “If you ever were to hear anything about me it would be that absolutely nobody wants to marry me. I’m quite undesirable” you confess.
“What would they say?” He raises his browless brow bone.
“Who? Women or men?” you ask to be sure.
“Women?” he asks, showing his famed black smile.
“They’d say my mother is a whore who knows no shame and that shame is all I bring my father.” you smile.
“The men?”
“Men who would gossip about me are not worth listening to or considering” you shrug.
“Fair enough” Feyd nods as you take in his features without fear. He doesn’t recall the last time someone was brave enough to lay eyes on him. The palace doors open out, walk your brothers, advisors and father. Feyd watches as you put your head down heading in to line the table with glasses as pleasantries are exchanged. The break is short and has moved the council outdoors. It means there is a potential for hostility. Feyd catches you signing to one of your brothers as you pour wine into the empty glasses. Once everything is situated you refill the gourd of wine placing it on the table as is custom for the men to pour. Feyd catches one of your advisors eyes lingering on your breasts. When your task is complete you bow to your father who nods dismissively, you take your leave.
LEGACY …
It was seldom that men didn’t cower in his presence, that they seemed more preoccupied with the issues at hand than Feyd’s own lore. Your family had a reputation for being straightforward and your brother for being valiant. He expected arrogance and self importance but all he encountered was a soldier. There was no posturing or small talk. Your eldest brother was straight to the point. Unlike Rabban, Feyd could see genuine respect among the siblings and care. There were no power plays or attempts to usurp inheritances; everyone seemed content in their place. His usual tactics to sow chaos wouldn’t work. Passing the training grounds Feyd stops. He watches a formidable combattant training young recruits in hand to hand combat.
“Your soldiers are some of the best” Feyd remarks honestly.
“As are yours” your eldest brother nods.
“We’re known for brutality, you for skill” Feyd attempts flattery.
“Dead men have no preference” your brother says matter of fact. The sight of the eldest son has the recruits fall into salute. Feyd nods impressed.
“At ease” he says when he realises your brother has given him the respect of calling the force.
“Pardon me” you call removing your helmet. Feyds surprise is evident at your appearance and at your fighting ability; he'd never seen a woman train men. He’d never seen a woman fight so well.
“Y/N” your brother nods.
“Brother, I was wondering … what of the sparring custom?” you ask.
“No” your brother says plainly, shocking you. Feyd looks between you as you swallow bowing and falling into line.
“What sparring?” Feyd asks.
“As a means of education a member of our force would spar with one of yours to a position of yielding. Afterwards the fight would be broken down and analysed for learning and training purposes”
“So why is it not happening?” Feyd asks.
“As head of your force one of ours would have to fight you. It’s treason” your brother says.
“Are you not the head of your force?” Feyd asks your eldest brother.
“No, it’s a great risk for an heir to be” your brother explains looking between the two of them you nod.
“Sorry for the interruption, good day” you nod, turning.
“Who is the head of your force?” Feyd asks suspiciously.
“Right there” your brother points to you as you retake your arms.
“A woman?” Feyd asks.
Your brother nods. “She’s earned it”
“Why does no one speak of her?” Feyd inquired.
“Many think it unwise? If word were to travel other disgruntled young women may take up arms against their intended to avoid marriage.” he explains.
A puzzled Feyd looks up. “What?”
“She started receiving suitors at thirteen. She would choose soldiers to fight on her behalf if the gentlemen couldn’t win they couldn’t have her hand. Of course it garnered great sport and then when she was eighteen she desired to fight for herself. That slowed things down a touch. Most men don’t want to bloody their bride. Those who attempted mercy were driven to the brink of social conduct by my sisters off hand provocations. When the previous commander passed she auditioned and won the position” your brother explains one of the planet's best kept secrets.
“Curious” Feyd comments. “If it’s custom” Feyd says watching you with his snake eyes.
“She would never yield,” your brother warns, knowing it’s not in your capability.
“Then to first blood” Feyd proposes. Your brother tells you to stand down in your language causing Feyds eyes to perk up. You take a step back before bowing to the men.
“It is impossible.” Your brother says with weariness and you head back to your men.
“I promise not to disfigure or maim your sister” Feyd promises.
“I’m not worried for my sister, with much respect” he says, making Feyds mouth water.
CUSTOMS …
You brush out your hair before braiding it for the night when a shadowy figure emerges in the doorway. All of your staff wear white while this figure is clad in all black. Holding your brush you turn to face him as he emerges from the shadows. You see Feyd-Rautha. His black smile contrasts against this alabaster skin. A Harkonnen legend in the flesh and in your chambers. You go to stand but he holds his hand out to stop you. He looks around at your chambers noting the contrast from Primes sterility. He closes the distance between you in moments.
“You were proposed as a concubine to Paul according to my mentat but you refused” Feyd says having done his research while deciding what was to be done about your planet and people.
“I don’t like excessive heat” you explain and he smiles. “Would you like me to train a force of your men?” You ask to pick his brain.
He gives you a black smile, “I would like to spar with you.”
“I don’t yield” you warn, standing slowly in your night silks.
“To first blood?” Feyd proposes.
“I’d like to keep my teeth and nose” you set your boundaries.
“You will,” he nods.
“Shall I fetch my armour?” you ask the Harkonnen salivating over your figure.
“No, hand to hand” he says.
“What should I get in return?” you ask stepping into the open area of your chamber.
“Whatever you like” he offers, at the liberty to provide it.
“An infinite amount of time to decide” you smile knowing what you want already.
“Deal” Feyd rasps with a smile too sinister to be good.
“What do you want?” you ask.
“Have you ever been with a man?” He asks his mind on sex.
“I’m a soldier, of course I have been” you respond and he smiles. “I’ve sullied myself” you speak in society’s terms.
“If I win-” Feyd begins.
“You won’t” you smile swinging first. He dodges with a wide smile. Your heart races knowing it’ll be a good fight. His style is brutal and aggressive. But you’ve learned the Harkonnen style first. All hits are superficial. Until Feyd lands a blow that knocks the wind out of you. Anger surges and you cut him with his holster. Black blood drips as you fight for breath. Feyd steps shocked at his loss as he watches his arm drip. You fight for breath still hoping he’s true to his word. You regain your breath as he snaps out of his stupor. Taking a cloth from your vanity, you tie it around the gash to stop the blood flow. His dark eyes focus on all of your features, unable to decide whether to take your life or indulge in passions of the flesh. He notes your hands are remarkably soft for a woman capable of such brutality.
“Your back will ache in a few hours” he rasps, speaking first. “We have our remedies should you want to save yourself the discomfort” he says speaking of the blow he’d landed.
“No thank you” you whisper.
“You don’t trust me” Feyd’s instincts are spot on.
“When you’re a woman people enjoy hurting to keep yourself from being a victim, you learn to enjoy the pain” you explain. Your words stroke all the right flames within him. Looking down he’d been right about you. There was no fear. Feyd takes a fistful of your nightgown, lifting it slowly in anticipation. When he’s met without resistance he removes it from your body. He sees scars scattered across your skin in varying depths caused by varying blades. The heat of anger and protectiveness surges.
“Why haven’t they been treated?” he asks, placing his hand against one of the scars that has healed quite bad.
“It’s our way to honour the fallen. Great warriors are remembered by their scars. My skin says I’ve met many.” you explain wearing your wounds with honour.
“Or that you took a long time to learn your skill” Feyd chides with eyes full of mischief.
“Once blood is drawn in combat by a cut it's our custom that you submit to the person who bested you, or become a sword or a slave if they will have you” you explain as Feyd eyes your breasts.
“What is my fate?” Feyd muses.
“How fares the Harkonnen?” You ask finding the zip to remove his armour. He’d never been undressed before by a woman whom was already naked or a woman that had cut him. Holding his arms out he watches as you remove it tossing the pieces onto the floor. He could feel the blood rushing to him manhood full of passion for you. Looking up at him as you remove his armoured gloves.
“I’d like a pair from your personal collection.” You tell him honestly. He’d never engaged in combat prior to sex either.
“I’ll see to it,” he says. “Or you could come to Prime and make your own selections” he offers with ulterior motives.
“And become your captive?” you smile finished with the task. A strong chest and an even stronger core is bare for you to see. Circling him you find a chiselled back. There’s no bulk, you note his power comes from within instead of the armour's added mass.
“I don’t think you can be made to do anything, much less stay where you don’t want to be.” He whispers as you sink into a squat.
“I only win all the time because I know when not to play” you smile using his belt to bring him to you. You unfasten the clasp as Feyd stands completely bewitched. You never break eye contact with Feyd; his concentration is like no other. Freeing his manhood, it springs free. His size is impressive. You don’t realise you’re smiling until he makes a guttural sound in awe of your reaction. Taking his sceptre into your hand gently you feel the weight of him in your forearm. It’s an act of submission in itself for him to be weaponless as you hold his prized possession, his legacy and virility. Your mouth waters at the round tip.
“Permission granted” he says after having waited too long.
“Be gentle with me, I will appear in court tomorrow” you tell him. He nods ever so slightly but you place no trust in his promise. Taking him into your mouth you revel in the ability to be the undoing of dangerous men. Your tongue traces his length before your jaw slacks to take him in. Your cheeks tighten and his head falls back from the suction. His grip is firm on the back of your head as it bobs from the strokes. His body reacts quickly as does yours from his arousal. Your hands slip along his slick manhood. Your strokes are tighter.
You use your hands and mouth unable to watch him as you try to send him over the edge. You find yourself moaning with him as he whispers praise and sweet nothings. Your flesh rises, tiny hairs standing at attention. White hot arousal envelopes you as your eyes find his again as you suckle him. His eyes are weary. His hips tick gently guiding his manhood back into your mouth slightly. Taking control of the pace Feyd’s hips thrust slow and deliberate challenging how much of his length you can manage.
“Good girl” he rasps going deeper with every thrust before giving you enough reprieve to breathe. His eyes are wild with arousal. You didn’t think him capable of pleasure without brutality. You’re even more impressed when he pulls you back from him abruptly holding you by your hair as he curses. It takes a moment to realize he’s trying to ward off a climax. You release his fist and dim the lights before padding over to your bed where he may come find you.
Once partially recovered Feyd is a moth to a flame. The path to your bed is lit with sconces. His acute hearing listens for the pads of your feet hitting against the marble. The darkness adds to the experience. Only when he enters your bedroom he hears the sound of water and turns to find a waterfall along the wall in front of the large bed. He takes steps down to the sunken area. The bed sits high in the middle lifted on a platform instead of taking the step up. He has an idea.
“Come here” he calls, holding out a pale hand. The bed is at his perfect waist level. “Open your legs” he instructs and one after the other you follow suit spreading them open for him. His eyes say it all as he comes in for a kiss. You’re taken aback when he slips one finger in. The kiss is broken and Feyd growls bringing your head back to his as he nips your bottom lip kissing your harder and adding another finger as he begins to stroke them skillfully. He’s unlike most warriors that are poor lovers. There’s no theatrics. When your eyes close you are in a bid for control as he takes you out of the present into planes of pleasure you’ve never frequented. There’s a seamless transition as he enters you going deep. He sheathes himself inside of you leaving you to gasp. His body is strong and rigid.
“Look at me” he demands drawing you back. Your eyes open and he appears first as a shadow, and then as Feyd-Rautha. There’s a brutality to his love making and an attention to detail that leaves you in delirium. A skilled combatant that knows how to use every inch of his body. The slapping contact of skin is felt and heard as his hands hold firm all over you. You can feel him tense and in a bid for control you slap him breaking the kiss as he fucks you into the bed. Shocked he pulls back robbing you of the contact. But Feyd-Rautha isn’t going to give you anything. Using his surprise to you out manoeuvre him so he’s lying beneath you.
“Relax” you whisper, mounting him and beginning to ride. He’s the best you’ve ever had. When the praise turns to curses you know he’s close. Sitting up Feyd fights for control, kissing you as you clench around him. The orgasm that rips through the both of you is a shared effort. Feverish breaths follow as your bodies fight to stabilise. Never breaking the intimate contact Feyd lifts you onto your sides so you’re both laying on the bed. Even after such a powerful orgasm he’s still hard. It feels incredible. Laying beside him you find beauty in his ferocity and Feyd initiates a kiss that is surprisingly soft and intimate. He roots himself deeper enjoying the closeness. You wonder if it’s a Harkonnen thing or if it’s just Feyd and smile. Your hands trace the now blackened cloth around his arm.
“What is it you want?” he rasps fully lucid.
“An honest treaty and not annihilation, we are not your enemy” you breathe honestly. His eyes darken in frustration before his jas sets in anger. He pulls out of you and the loss of contact causes you to gasp. He sits at the edge of the bed in contemplation.
“I will keep my word” he hisses feeling outmanoeuvred
“Come back to bed.” you respond. Feyd casts a hateful look over his shoulder making you smile. Your lack of fear amuses him. He returns back to bed giving you round two and whe it's over sleep comes too soon.
TREATIES…
Your father glares at you in fury. Undoubtedly his attendants have told him about your tryst last night. It’ll be every bit of a scandal by the end of the week if it makes it out of the palace. Suitors have come far and wide just for you to voluntarily take a Harkonnen to bed. As punishment you’re forbidden from attending the procession. There is no goodbye as you watch the fortified shielded ships take flight. Your father is an old man that’s comfortable in his ways and unaware of the complexity of the new world around him. It’s how your mother wormed her way into his heart. It’s how you came to be. You hear doors open and your eldest brother emerges behind you with none of your father’s judgement or contempt.
“He left you these,” your brother says, placing the gloves on the counter in front of you. You look down at them before looking at your brother. “We’re allies now” he declares. “The Harkonnen have stopped looking at us like food.” he finishes.
“Good” you respond.
“Well done sister” he nods leaving the room. You sigh deeply knowing Feyd is now deep in a web. Staring at the contraceptive tea your brother has placed beside the gloves you contemplate the future. “Now, it’s time to keep them busy” your brother says leaving your quarters.
SUCCESSION …
War had left Feyd preoccupied for the past few years and it was your fathers doing that none of his correspondence attempts made their way to you. Your brother had been a step ahead of every visit in an attempt to keep Feyd at bay, your father compliant and your reputation intact. Feyd had sent spies but they’d been unsuccessful in finding anything of consequence. You remained unwed training new recruits in a remote part of the country. There were modified designs of his gloves being used in combat and using your forces at his side had easily become one of his better decisions. It was why he was here now after all this time. Your father had passed on and his ally to become the planet's ruler. But, it was no secret he’d come all this way to see you. Still after so much time and many women there was always one who he could not shake. The cut on his forearm he refused to treat etched you into his skin and cellular memory. It was beyond time for him to take a wife and he was set on you, in spite of his advisors' cautions. Taking the path to the ceremony he finds the inhabitants clad in black. Mournful cries from a few mothers follow and he spies all of his sons. He’s seated among the esteemed guests and he finds you expressionless seated with the women. The wind blows your veil as you disassociate, Feyd becomes reckless.
Shifting in his seat the procession takes too long. The singing is horrible as is the burial. Every attempt to get close to you fails. One of his spies passes him coordinates to your place and after the feast you are noticeably absent from Feyd finds you removing your headdress.
“Why haven't you returned my messages?” Feyd asks and you turn to face him. He’s unchanged. His spectacular features have been frozen in time.
“My father was not a fan of our time together” you respond honestly. “I never received any messages” you tell him honestly.
“Shouldn't have stopped you from reaching out?”
“To Feyd-Rautha, who can have any woman he wants? To think our time together was of any significance to you?” you ask amused. “Na-Baron, Baron, usurper, co-emperor” you list his accolades. He sticks you with a truth poison and you smile. Removing the stinging vile. His lips find yours in a fevered kiss.
“Did you get my messages” he growls looking up at him your answer is unchanged. Not for the ineffective poisons.
“No,” you whisper and Feyd picks you up heading to the bed. He's rough and you moan getting lost in the kiss. Only for it to stop abruptly. Feyd’s body stiffens and he rolls off the bed falling onto the floor with terrified eyes. Alarmed you sit up to find your son manning the choking shield and disengaged it in a flash.
“No mommy, he was hurting you and he’s a stranger” your son snaps in a combative stance. But when Feyd stands the boy looks up in shock knowing the legendary Feyd-Rautha. The anger of his attack leaves him as he eyes the small child. Once ferocious he sees fear creeping into the kids' eyes. Eyes he knows too well from seeing them in his reflection. Swallowing, he squats down to the boy's eye level.
“What do they call you?” he rasps.
“Valyr” he says with a strong chest full of pride. Nodding he takes in the boys features his obvious strength, natural suspicion and strength. He counts back the years as he stands upright. The world would call him Valyr but Feyd would call the boy son and you wife. The planet would be fortified for your protection and a bastard daughter would be the planet's sustenance and salvation.
Authors Note: How did you like this all in one style story? It was fun to write. I hope yo do more of these especially considering how many of you miss Feyd. I don't want to keep the Feyd Brigade waiting too long! What was your favourite rite part? Don't forget to like, comment & reblog for more 🖤🩶

⌈⌖ the retreat ⌖⌉
thank you so much! don't forget to like and comment on the stories you love - it really does encourage us writer's to keep going and stay consistent.
Gale is such a sweetheart, he's so fun and fluffy to write for. No, I don't have an AO3, not really a fan of how black and white everything is. Visually its jarring for me. I know we're there to read but, idk ... let me know if it's somewhere I should be ❤

Chapter VII - Turbulence
Gale never took peaceful moments for granted. After his time in the war and his time as a prisoner of war, peace had become as important to him as freedom. He’d fought for everything he had today. He’d built the retreat to what it was today through hard work, in the midst of heartbreak and recovery. Gale toiled tirelessly never complaining as he tried to create a quiet life worth living. It was at least nine in the morning now. Gale could tell by the way the sunlight light was filtering into his room. Nine in the morning and long past his usual waking hours. He’d contemplated initiating closeness day after day, night after night but somehow making the wrong move with Lorena scared him more than going up over enemy lines. Her beauty seemed even more remarkable this close up. Her features were relaxed and softer than usual as she lays there in his arms. The slow rise and fall of her chest as she breathes captivates him. Her skin was soft like she took milk baths for her entire life. Rapping on the door rouses him from his daydream. The rhythm is Roses, sighing he places a kiss on Lorena’s head before getting out of the bed and stirring her. Her eyes open slowly as a lazy yawn covers her face. Gale watches as she looks confused for a moment trying to make sense of her location until her eyes find his. She settles into the pillows instantly giving him a warm smile. The vision of Lorena in his bed smiling at him would be etched into his mind forever.
The rapping on the door draws him back to the present again getting Lorena’s attention as well. Fastening his belt on his waist Gale pushes down his shirt in a hurry to be presentable before putting on a knit sweater. Crossing the room he turns back kissing Lorenas forehead again, then her nose and then her lips.
“Good morning” he rasps.
“Good morning” Lorena responds pulling him into a hug.
“I’m gonna go see what’s the matter.” He says leaving her reluctantly. Turning Lorena listens as he jogs down the stairs. Settling back into Gale’s bed she looks around the simple room. She knew it was a privilege to get this close to a man like Gale. To be trusted in his most intimate space. It felt like her body had finally stopped thrumming, she’d been on since the war but somehow last night in Gales arms she’d found genuine rest. Padding back across the hall and into her own room she readies herself for the day. Slowly but surely Lorena finds an outfit she can be sure of. Skipping down the stairs there’s no sign of Gale or a fresh pot of coffee. Raising a brow she looks outside brewing one of her own hoping there’s no trouble. Once finished her morning brew she heads over to the retreat to find a few patrons. The boys stand behind the bar looking sheepish but there’s no sight of Gale. Heading to her station she finds them averting her gaze. Uneasiness washes over her.
“What is it?” Lorena whispers just as Rose emerges.
“Nothing love, come on the boys have it under control” Rose smiles taking Lorena by the hand.
“Rose, what is it?” Lorena asks walking alongside the older woman. The crunch of the gravel beneath her feet killing the silence as they make their way uphill to Rose’s place.
“Not to worry” Rose dismisses as they make it to the door only for Lorena’s heart to cease in her chest. Blond perfectly curled tresses blow in the morning breeze. Gale stands with his hands on his waist looking at the woman. Marge. Lorena knows it without needing confirmation. A groan escapes her mouth as she feels her heart breaking.
She’d come back for him.
Lorena’s thoughts race as she pushes open Roses door for some reprieve. She can’t bring herself to watch the interaction between the two. Tears sting as she lays back on the couch.
“I take it you were the reason Gale wasn’t awake with the sun today?” Rose says bringing Lorena breakfast.
“Don’t be cruel” Lorena mutters still feeling the ghost of Gales peck on her lips.
“What happened?” Rose asks drawing Lorena from her comfort zone. How could she admit the truth? That she longed for intimacy and partnership with Gale more than ever last night. That she managed to sleep in his arms for the entire night without overheating or needing space. That he never wanted her to leave, how his revelation made her realize that she didn’t want to, at least not for long.
“Not now Rose” Lorena swallows before biting into a piece of toast.
…
Looking in front of him Gale found it remarkable how little he was moved by Marge’s tears. He’d loved her fiercely for a time that felt like forever.
“If Hollywood had worked out you wouldn’t be here” Gale says calmly.
“I need you with me Gale, stop this and come home!” She snapped.
“This is my home Marge and I’ve moved on” Gale says.
“With who the wind?” She snaps feeling slighted, she thought she would always have Gale’s. Heart.
“Marge” he sighs.
“Gale” she snaps back. “I came all this way and what now I’m not good enough?”
“This is where I want to be. Your heart is set on California. I’ve begged and pleaded with you before and you left with that guy. I’m done” Gale stands his ground.
“Gale you can find somewhere closer and live like a recluse there” she exclaims.
“Until you find a better option” Gale responds hurt. She would never know how badly she broke his heart.
“Gale I wasn’t ready to give up everything I worked on during the war. But I want us” Marge said speaking life into their fading romance. It was impossible to forget what she meant to him and what that meant. But there was better for him. He’d felt it last night as he held Lorena’s sleeping body against himself. The way she fit in among all his colleagues and comrades, the way she lit up the retreat like no one else could.
“Marge its too late for us. You can spend the night in one of the rooms and I’ll have someone drop you back into town” Gale sighs.
“Gale” she stomps. She had wanted him to chase her when she left the first time. They could have had a marvellous adventure travelling the world but the war had changed him so much. His smiles were less frequent, as was his good humour and after years of waiting loving him through it had become too hard. Marge chose herself and now she was without a good man.
“You’re easy to love Marge, you’ll be just fine and when you’re on the big screen you won’t think of me. I’ll be proud of you sitting here when I see it a year later” Gale says to clear the board and erase all ill will. Only it’s gone the exact opposite of how marge had foreseen it going. Now it was both Hollywood and her old beaux who decided she no longer held the same value as she once did.
“So what are you seeing someone else?” She snaps.
“Wouldn’t matter, we’re over, whether I’m seeing someone or not” Gale says standing firm.
“You’d be crazy to let me go!” She shouts causing a commotion. Lorena hears the shouting and pulls back the drapes to see marge doing exactly what she couldn’t. Her heart aches for the both of them, knowing intimately how it feels to be cast aside by someone you believe will love you forever. It wasn’t fair, and yet neither was the way Marge had treated him. Her tone indicated Gale wasn’t fully compliant but Lorena couldn’t hold out on hope. There was a very real possibility Gale could decide on his first love. At least they hadn’t gone too far to act like nothing happened.
Deviating from their new normal Lorena takes supper in her room away from all the confusion. Sitting at her desk in a daze she watches the sunset early wondering now if it would be the beginning of the end of her time at the Retreat. The familiar heartbreak has her devouring her meal, hungry for more. The empty chill causes her to bundle up smiling at the sweater Gale had given to her for the time being. She wondered what she had done to deserve such a cruel fate as it pertained to love. What about her lacked so much that men found solace in the arms of other women. Hot tears run down her face as she hears Marge outside fighting for her relationship with Gale. Something she never could do with Reggie, because of heartbreak or pride or pain. Turning off her lamp she gets ready for bed early. Perhaps if she was efficient she could save herself the humiliation of rejection and catch the last train before the winter snow squalls began. Maybe she wouldn’t make it back home but she could at least get halfway there and patronize a hotel until she could get home. Her brain tells her it’s the right course of action, get a home of her own and swear men off forever. Wiping more tears she swallows the bitterness tearing her a part in the dark room. At least Gale would get his happy ending with the woman whose memory got him through the roughest parts of the war. At least they hadn’t began to know each other carnally. That would only make things worse. Lorena hears the door close and wipes her tears ready to put on a brave face. She listens as Gale paces for a good ten minutes. Then the wooden stairs sound as he ascends them. Lorena listens as he walks over to her door. He tries it but it’s locked.
“Lo” he calls knocking.
“Mhm?” She calls back.
“Goodnight” he says from the other side of the door.
Overwhelmed Gale heads into his bedroom holding the doorknob he leaves the door open knowing it’s going to be a cold night and hoping Lo will come to bed with him. Stripping down into his undergarments he gets into his pyjamas and then into bed laying on his back. Marge made his heart race the same way being up in a B17 did. The war and Marge absconding took all the need for thrill, and excitement out of him. He’d seen too much ugly in life to invite any into the world he was building now. Looking at the dark ceiling above him he thinks on the man he’d been before the war and the man he was now. His desires were simple and he was doing everything possible to make his life the one he envisioned for himself. Sighing he gets up and out of bed heading over to Lorena’s room.
“Lo please open the door” he calls outside of it. He’d fought harder for things that meant less to him. He knocks softly knowing better than anyone she was a night owl, it was why she was always last to wake up. “Lorena” he repeats continuing against the door and it opens causing him to stumble. He doesn’t need light to see she’s blue.
“What’s wrong Gale?” she asks trying to sound strong and brave.
“Come to bed”
“But what about Marge?” Lorena asks.
“She’s leaving in the morning” he responds reaching for his girl.
“Gale if you love her don’t worry about me - I’ll be fine” Lorena says forcing herself to be brave.

Lucky Strike 🎯 🎱 - GASOLINE - VIII
⇐ previous chapter
⌈⌖ lucky strike ⌖⌉
⌈⊹₊ the fantasy archive ₊ ⊹⌉
summary: picking up from where we left off last time, benny waked up and gives his recollection of the fight that landed him there. declarations are made and lines are drawn in the sand.
pairing: Benny Cross (Bikeriders) X Reader
word count: ~ 1.7K
It was ringing in his ears that woke him from his sleep first, stirring Benny is seized by the pain thrumming in his foot. Groaning he squeezes his eyes shut even tighter until the realization hits, numbing his pain in an instant. Sitting up quickly he opens his eyes. Fluorescent hospital lighting forces to quint again as he comes to his senses. Familiar perfume wafts through his nose, only it’s the wrong one.
“Easy Benny, take it easy baby” Kathy says with a hand on his shoulder, confirming the woman at his beside wasn’t you.
“Where’s Y/N? ” he asks without time to spend on any other pleasantries.
“She’s not your fiancé or your emergency contact” Kathy responds not understanding the urgency in his tone or the concern welling in his heart. Those guys had threatened you - it was the reason for the fight. Benny could still hear their filthy threat which was the last thing he heard before the shovel hit his head knocking him out.
“Where is she!” Benny snaps, his temper smoulderinglyhow hot but his anger backfires sending shooting pains straight to his head.
“She’s with the guys,” Kathy mutters, sensing emotion atypical of him. She watches as the revelation puts him at ease, her heart breaking for the absence of love between them now. Benny winces from the exertion, touching his head and the contraction of muscles causing shooting pains in his foot.
“Why? Get her and Johnny here” he demands groaning from his assault.
“Benny, us breaking up is crazy. I love you. You don’t love her like you love me.” Kathy says, adding to his headache. Opening his eyes it's clear as day that Kathy doesn’t love him right, or in a way that was good. Even here while he was all banged up she wanted to start another argument about something they had already put to rest. If he was in better shape they could have a go but your safety is his primary focus.
“Kathy if you don't quit your shit and get them both here now, I swear to god I’ll never look at you again” Benny snaps twisting the knife but it was only a mercy. If he knew the night’s events things would be much worse for her.
…
You're brushing your hair out when you hear a knock at the door and turn to see Barbara.
“Sorry, do you need the bathroom?” you ask sorry to have intruded into her space with little notice. She smiles, fanning you off like it’s absolute nonsense.
“He’s awake and wants to see you, so dry your eyes and fix yourself up” she smiles. Your heart races and you hug her jumping a little from the excitement. How things had gone so poorly in just a moment was too hard to fathom or reconcile. You finish brushing your hair out and spray perfume fully dressed when Cal pulls up as your designated chauffeur. You get in the car consumed with thoughts of Benny. You need for him to be okay, you hope he isn't pissed with you, you pray he doesn't lose his foot. You’ve never yearned for the faint scent of gasoline and cigarettes on his denim or leather more than now. You want to be close to him, helping him get through recovery more than anything. When you arrive at the hospital you move quickly through the lobby before sprinting up the stairs to his floor. Kathy is by his bedside when you open the door. Anger surges so violently you could spit on her for the shit she’s pulled. You would never have done anything close to what she has. Peeling your eyes from her you pull up a chair on the other side of Benny taking his hand. The sight of him is overwhelming but you stay strong as his eyes open lazily. A smile finds his lips.
“Oh Benny” you swallow, choking back tears of sadness and relief. You hold him tight, thankful he’s okay and not upset. “I’m sorry” you apologize.
“It’s alright doll. I’m alright” he mutters, somehow offering you comfort in his own time of need. He can't take the pain in your eyes even though it's for him. He can feel your sadness.
“I called my stepdad's doctor friends and they promised me they’d come and look after you. It’ll be okay Benny, I’m so sorry” you apologize again as tears run down your face.
“Don’t apologize to me” He mutters and you hug him careful of his injuries feeling safe in his arms. It had always been your responsibility to take care of each other and this felt like a deviation from that. Benny had stuck his neck out for you and nearly paid for it with his life.
“It’s alright doll he’ll be riding again in no time” Johnny says standing at your side. You nod sitting back down and he places a hand on your shoulder. It was clear to him and the entire club that you were the one for Benny. The way you held him down was like an old lady should.
“Can I talk to Johnny alone?” Benny asks, needing to ensure you're protected. Sniffling you nod standing, you place a kiss on his forehead turning to head out until Johnny takes your hand,
“Don’t cause Benny any grief. Control your temper” Johnny whispers looking at Kathy and you swallow before nodding in acknowledgement and re-entering the waiting room.
“You’d better marry her Benny” Johnny says sitting close to him. Benny smiles proud of the approval. It didn't change how he felt but added to the confirmations in his heart that you were his forever.
“Plan to” Benny nods.
“She knew and I hadn’t said a word yet. Told the boys to get thirty drums of oil and collect glass bottles to blow up the bar. Her old man is a veteran” Johnny smiles.
“Her dad was a drunk. That’s why I was there. Stupid new wife told them she had money to settle his debts. I went to pay it and to tell them to leave her alone. They tried taking my colours then told me she’d have to pay off the debt on her back. I lost it” Benny admits.
“What’d you tell the police?” Johnny asks.
“Nothing,” Benny responds honestly.
“Good, might take her advice on how to handle the bar.” Johnny says. “Her mom remarried? Because she was on the phone for hours trying to get in touch with her dad’s doctor and surgeon friends to help you out” Johnny explains trying to understand you.
“Yeah, guess he’s the vet.” Benny says.
“After we pull this it’s gonna get hot. I want you to go home with her. Lay low, heal up. I know she’ll take good care of you.” Johnny advises.
“Mhm” Benny agrees not wanting to add to his brother's trouble in this time of change. “I’m sorry about all this I -”
“Hell I’d have done the same thing” Johnny shrugs, not needing to hear the apology.
“Drums of oil” Benny snickers.
“Ain’t that something, you found yourself someone more outlaw than you.” Johnny teases.
“He needs to rest,” a nurse says coming in.
“Alright,” Johnny nods, standing.
“Keep her safe till I get out. No hotels please” Benny says.
“You got it,” Johnny agrees, heading to the door.
“Nurse says he needs rest. Benny wants you to stay with Barb and I”
“Okay let me say goodbye” you nod heading into the room. Benny waits looking horrible. His face is swollen, his head is bandaged and his leg.
“I can stay here with you” you offer.
“Go sleep in a real bed” he mutters.
“Benny I love you” you tell him trying to keep the tears at bay.
“This isn’t your fault. Your dad ran up debts with horrible people knowing he had a family” Benny says.
“But”
“I’m happy it wasn’t you or some innocent kids. I can take a beating” he rasps making you love him even more.
“Benny they tried to kill you” you tell him and he shrugs.
“They’ll get theirs. I just need you to be okay. Johnny wants me to lay low. Think I can come stay with you for a while?” he asks, restarting your heart.
“Of course you can but you’re hurt you shouldn’t travel” you respond.
“Things are gonna get worse before they get better. Why don’t we start early?” Benny asks.
“Whatever you want” you nod.
“C'mere,” he says, sitting up to hug you. “Don’t worry about me, I’m gonna be alright.” he promises selflessly.
“I’ll be here in the morning at visiting hours”
“Okay” he nods and you kiss him. “See you tomorrow,” he smiles.
“Benny I don’t want you to leave you”
“You have to, go with Johnny and Barb”
“I’m only listening if you do me one favor” You tell him.
“What is it? Benny braces himself.
“Put me and Johnny down as your emergency contacts so I can come see you whenever I like” You ask and Bennys brows furrow. He’d wondered why it wasn't you at his side when he woke up and why Kathy was looking at him.
“Did she-”
“Benny you need rest just fix it for me the next time you wake up please”
“I’ll fix it now” he asserts.
“Thank you.” Standing you kiss his forehead before heading out.
“Y/N” he calls stopping you and your turn back.
“I love you” he says. His words warm your heart and you hold the door.
“I know and I feel the same” you nod, leaving him in the capable hands of the hospital staff. When you see Kathy you're too happy Benny’s okay to make a scene as much as you want to make her pay for her uncalled for bitchiness and malice. But there are calls you have to make. You need to set up your home and make the necessary adjustments for Benny’s comfort. You have bigger fish to fry, your family, coming marriage, Benny’s recovery and the future.

🏔️The Retreat 🏔️- Chapter VII

Summary: Lorena and Gale's progress is challenged when an unexpected visitor arrives at the retreat causing some unexpected turbulence.
Pairing: Gale Cleven x Lorena (black fem oc)
Warnings: None
Tropes: Slow Burn, opposites attract, forbidden love
Word Count: ~2K
