Istighfar is the act of seeking forgiveness from Allah, usually by saying “Astaghfirullah” which translates to “ I seek forgivness from Allah” - The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.” [Abu Dawud]. - In another Hadith, The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The one who (regularly) says Istighfaar, that is, frequently repent to Allah Ta’aala for sins committed, Allah Azza Wa-Jal will open a path from poverty and difficulties. “Every act of creation is first an act of destruction” - Pablo Picasso | This is how I created the texture for one of my favorite paintings (which I will be posting later today so look out). I had an old piece of really weak canvas with a bunch of holes on them from a project I tried to do where I made a neon sign saying ‘Art’ for my art room (swipe all the way to see it). The lights messed up and instead of throwing away the canvas, I decided to patch it up and see where it goes. ‘The one who saves you, in such a way that you don’t even realise you were in danger’ - Al-Lateef is one of the 99 names of Allah, meaning ‘The Gracious/ The kind’ - Crazy to imagine how many times we might have been in danger and not realised it because Allah saved us from it. Or how many times we thought something went wrong like missing the last train but we didn’t realise missing it saved us from something dangerous we could have been in the middle of had we taken that exact train. - Another point is that the response to a duaa you make may take different forms: either Allaah will respond and fulfil the desire of the person who made the duaa, or He will ward off some evil from him because of the duaa. So think about how many of your unanswered duaas protected you from evil you were unaware of... Some shots showing the process of my first acrylic pour I did quite a while ago...including mixing the paints, pouring and flaming for increased texture. Since we’re all stuck at home... - HERE’S HOW YOU CAN DO YOUR OWN: Acrylic pouring is super easy, anyone can do it! You usually need pouring medium which can be expensive but it can be easily omitted. Just mix half and half acrylic or ready mixed paint and half water (make around three colour mixes). Pour the mixed paint onto your canvas in random ways or into eachother as seen in the pictures. And finally, move your canvas around allowing the paint to fall off all the edges. - Don’t have a canvas?
