MEXICAN FAMILY OUT OF FOOD
Long version of our problems.
Our last post.
I've been 6 days with my medication, I do not want to go back to the hospital so soon.
I will lose my healthcare if I do not pay $105 before the 21st ends.
We owe money to the cornerstore owner and he won't let us buy anything else until we pay $86.
We have a $280 payment to make on the 23rd.
We do not have enough food, just 1 and a half kg of rice, we need veggies and protein for our diabetics and kids.
Anything extra will help us afford cleaning clothes, paying bills or affording living at this point.
I'm tired of crying all the time, I wish I didn't feel this hopeless.
$30/$800
We never make the goal.

The idea that non-police lynchings ever stopped in the US instead of whites just becoming craftier (evil) about it is so weird to me like
Sure they ain’t picnicking at a public hanging anymore but you seen how many more missing posters there’s been the past few years in particular right? How so many Black and Brown children are just fuckin disappearing too and never making anything more than a Facebook missing post?
We just only hear about them when someone cares about them enough to set fire to everything until it gets noticed.

I'm visiting some dear friends of mine this week, and all of us have at least one disability. While we were eating breakfast this morning we were discussing the impact medication has on our lives.
I was sharing how difficult everything was for me when I had moved to a new city where the cost of housing was much more expensive and I couldn't afford medication. Over the course of the year, my energy deteriorated rapidly. First I couldn't keep up with my job, then I couldn't keep up with housework, then I couldn't keep up with basic hygiene, and eventually even chewing and swallowing became difficult. Sometimes walking to the train, I thought about lying down on the side of the road and how long it would take before a cop would force me to move. I wanted to die but I didn't even have the energy to figure out how.
My friend asked me if I had chronic fatigue. I don't know, because I was never diagnosed. I don't claim it because right now I'm very functional. I can keep up with hygiene, cook, clean, do work, and even exercise! But this is only possible from the combination of four different medications. Right now, I am extremely fortunate in that I have much of my medical expenses covered by my wife's health insurance that she has through work. I pay $415 USD every month for these things I need. I can never take this for granted because I know so vividly how difficult it is to survive without them.

the prices of anything in gaza are absolutely ridiculous. trying to get “aid” from the so-called “aid sites” is exceedingly dangerous because israel keeps slaughtering people waiting for food, and one of the family members was recently injured trying to get some. i’m very worried for them and i don’t want them to have to risk their lives at these horrible “aid sites.”
i know it’s overwhelming and a lot; i know there’s so much right now. but please, if you can spare even anything, even a $10 or $5 once, or a regular donation of $2 even, please do donate.
and please spread the word, even offline too or on other social media sites. i have a QR code on my pinned post that you can share!
i also have art you can buy! i would also like to make more prints of my art soon, so if there are any specific pieces of mine you’d like to see in print, let me know.

thank you for reading. please donate and share; anything helps 💖

I feel like KPDH is an example of a thing that annoys me where people use fictional race/species as a metaphor for something that's not race (usually queerness or something) - both in the movie where her heritage is just a metaphor for shame/having insecurities and then in the fandom where people are calling it a trans allegory or whatever. it always annoys me because a) it creates the most messy unhelpful fantasy bigotry allegories (if the demons represent shame and not actual people it's fine to kill all of them we guess) and b) is being mixed race just not an interesting/relatable conflict to white fandom people. does being mixed species have to actually be a metaphor for being nonbinary or something
1) tis why I think fantasy bigotry stories are absolutely useless unless we're willing to get into the meat of it, but most people don't want to look in the mirror
2) I think a lot of stories with race allegories get overlooked for queer ones because white folk don't relate to race allegories unfortunately. It's easier to project onto something they do experience, than to take the time to understand something they don't. It's why ATSV got completely bogged down in excitement about Gwen and her trans allegory, while completely ignoring her negative, oppressive role in Miles' concurrent race allegory. Because half of that is fun, the other half means look within yourself, and ya know... Once again...

As the man-made famine in the Gaza Strip worsens and access to food becomes increasingly difficult, we've decided to extend our support beyond agricultural inputs. We are currently working to connect grassroots initiatives with local farmers-allowing crops to be purchased well below the soaring market rates and directly distributed to those unable to buy or access them.
Read more about and donate to revive Gaza's farmlands, a project by APN that aims to rehabilitate the agricultural sector and restore local food systems to combat famine.

Not to be insane but I feel like transfeminism is this whole suite of liberatory insights not just for transfems but literally for everybody but then you try to tell like, a cis woman about it and theyre like ew no thank you marriage and gender roles are natural and ur just some weird dude in a dress. And then you tell a trans guy and hes like ew no thank you my biological sex is so real and ur just some weird dude in a dress. And then you go try telling less informed/intellectually curious trans women and theyre like ew no thank you I’m just some weird dude in a dress.
Like you shout from the rooftops about how all our identities are constructed and how we are all being used and how we are all seen as monstrous if we try to actually love and fulfill ourselves and instead of a broad solidarity everyone's like

hey we urgently need to raise around 140 euros so my friend siraj (vetted #219) can buy his family a bag of flour. they haven't had anything to eat for a while and the price of flour seems to be less expensive today. if he coesn't raise the
if 28 people donated 5 euros each, or if just 14 people donate 10 euros each, he'd be able to feed his family
