[Puts head on the other’s shoulder]

[Suddenly feels around the bed to search for the other’s hand / body when they’re sleeping]

[Extends a hand when they see the other was searching for it while they’re sleeping]

“I just feel calmer. When I’m with you.”

“You’re not in bed. I came looking for you.”

“What are you doing up? Come to bed.”

“It’s weird. I never thought I could feel like this, but you showed up. Now, it’s like I don’t wanna go on knowing I might lose the feeling.”

“I don’t mind sharing the blankets with you.”

“You’re cold. Come here.”

“You always do that. You always warm me up.”

“Stay.”

“It’s getting crowded. Here, hold my hand.”

[Hugs for a very long time]

[Puts feet on the other’s lap]

as soon as the response comes through, buck hits dial & makes theirself comfortable on the couch. "eddie, what's going on? is everything okay?" buck asks as soon as eddie answers, preemptively worried, as usual, over whatever could've possibly happened at a meeting about getting his son into a certain school.

Eddie feels horrible but Buck always has a plan and if not they can come up with one, together. He feels better, knowing Buck will understand. It's not like Eddie is hiding the fact he is married but at times he has forgotten himself. Eddie has had no contact with his wife since she left him. Buck will understand.

//you know what one of my favorite plot ideas/bases is with buck? when buck and whoever the other muse is had run-ins during their traveling era, then meet up again once they're settled in la. and the potential for so much character growth to happen off-screen bc of it. it's almost like meeting a different person with buck's development, and made even juicier when that can be said for the other muse, too

buck had been in the middle of a very important & intense conversation with their sister when they just happen to glance up from their plate of food to find tommy looking back at them from across the yard. as always, a smile immediately spreads across their face, only to falter as their stupidly hot boyfriend fucking winks at them with that wicked little smirk of his that tommy knows does things to them. & how the hell is buck supposed to do anything other than stare, every possible thought slipping out of their head except for a handful of very indecent ones?

it isn't until maddie's fingers snap right in front of their face that buck startles out of their trance & looks back at her with a quick apology, adamantly ignoring the knowing look on her face as they resume their interrupted conversation.

they're gonna have to wait until later to make tommy pay.
