“I don’t know about that. Shaun told me he did pretty well even with his diminished powers. From what I got out of his head, all that free running training also really helped him. Plus, It seems he sometimes puts Casey on his toes in sparring. He doesn’t quite have your competitive streak though.” Smirking, Zach nodded his head and gripped the bottom of his shirt pulling it over his head and tossing it aside. His hand reached up and twisted. At that moment, the room dimmed before going pitch black. It lasted only a few seconds before the light came back on and suddenly they were in an oriental style garden with a large pond in the center. Both men stood in the center of the pond on a large floating wooden platform in the shape of a circle. They both held a matching pair of bo staffs in their hands. “Alright but let’s make it interesting. Try not to fall off if you can.”

  “No one has my competitive streak,” he replied with a grin as he stood his ground and centered himself and smiled. “How about we add somethings extra and we say don’t use our abilities and we go four rounds.”

Smirking, Gage shook his head with a laugh. “Well, he knows you well and is a mind reader.” Of course, that was how he always figured Zach was able to tell where he was. Shaun had guessed a couple of times himself but he didn’t have that power himself. Listening to the man’s words, Gage reached into his pocket and pulled out a metal square object. Flicking his wrist, it folded out with the ends curving and a metal string like strip connecting the two ends. It formed into a bow and Gage held it up. “ Turning into a better shot but still a bit hard. Though a tech boy gave me this. I only found one interesting thing in it that I took out.”

   “Zach’s abilities can really be a pain sometimes,” he replied as he looked and watched the younger male. Michael was impressed and he knew that a bow and arrow, learning how to use it will diverse his skills. “It takes lots of practice but, you should be able to master it in no time.”

  veronica walked into the training room , to meet michael ; setting her gym duffel , off to the side. “ i know i’m a tiny bit late , but i have a very valid excuse. i couldn’t get the left braid even, with the right. so i had to undo and re-braid , a couple of times , before i could get here. ” was her opener , to her higher up ; as she sauntered up , to him. “ anyways , what’ve you got in store , for me? hope nothing too rigorous , these nails were expensive. ” 

   “Have should have heard that my training is not easy and one should not have expensive things around when they train,” he said as he grabbed a wooden bo. “Here, we will try something slow and easy today but just know you will be worked out and might feel like death.”

A smirk crossed over his face as he saw Michael, shirtless, and training with a weapon. Even without his powers, he knew he’d be in here, and he knew exactly what he’d be wearing. “Seeing you covered in sweat and waving around a sword is an oddly normal sight these days. Is that why Gage was playing around with a bow earlier? He kept trying to shoot light from out of it; guess he doesn’t quite got the handle on using his powers that way yet.” Walking more into the room, He let his eyes look the man up and down and nodded. “So, you doing this alone or what?”

  Michael stopped when he heard the voice and smiled, walking towards the other. “Yes. I thought it was time to teach Gage how to use some weapons and not always depend on his abilities. After the blackout, I saw that I have been lacking in his hand to hand combat and also weapon skills,” he replied looking at Zach. “You can join me if you want.”

“Well, he did tell me you had this kind of Batman vibe going a few times. So I just figured…” His voice trailed off a bit as he looked over at Michael. His green eyes holding an innocent look as he shrugged his shoulders. “Besides, I’m pretty sure he has something planned for you to. Not a prank though, I saw him buy a few things for a rather nice looking dinner. Had to through a little fun in there before then though.”

   “I should not be surprise. Zach always has and knows away to distract me from your and his pranks,” he said as he ruffled Gage’s hair and smiled. “I am lowkey liking the look. Almost like the green arrow vibe going. Just need green and a bow and arrow,” he added laughing. “How is your training of using a new weapon going?”

  Michael had some free time so, he decided to work on some skills. Michael always liked to be well rounded and not always depend on his powers and it’s something he always said to Gage too and made sure he showed and taught the younger male how to fight. Michael was so focus that he did not hear nor notice the person that walked in. @azachnovak

   “You know I should get Zach back for encouraging you Gage,” he said as he looked at himself in the mirror as he saw Gage latest prank which is something that he should be used to by now but, thanks to a certain someone that always seem to distract him. “I almost look like a raccoon.” @gagemarshall

“Now you’ve got my attention.” Gage gave Michael a mischevious but excited grin which he held as the other tried to splash him. With a flick of his head, Gage stopped the wave of water. “You, ancient one.” He said with a laugh as he used his powers to toss it back at Michael only with more behind it. He propelled himself at the man as well and when he got close, phased right through him for a split second before getting behind him. Placing both hands on his shoulders, he used gravity to increase his own weight enough that even someone as strong as Michael could fight being dunked under by the weight alone as Gage pulled himself up on the man’s shoulders.

  “I knew it would,” he teased laughing as he looked at the other. “You should know that this ancient one has many tricks and secrets that they might just keep to himself,” he added changing the gravity around him and Gage making them light. “Two can play this game.”

 ( .. cyrus’ nose crinkled slightly , as he pursed his lips in mild distaste. not enjoying having to deal with a customer , when he should have been focused on closing. “ aahh … yeah. i mean honestly really , i am … technically closed. i just … forgot to lock the doors and turn off the sign. but … like i’m saying , if you’re going to like buy something right now , or need to find something ; i can …. help you out? ” offered again , fidgeting on spot slightly. pulling out his phone , to pause the still blaring music. “ sooooo ….. what …. are you … looking for? ” .. ) 

  “Since you’re close and cleaning up, I will just come back tomorrow. I don’t want to make you do any more work,” he said honestly looking at the other. “Maybe some other time and I can offer some help for distracting you.”

“Confident, I have a good trainer after all. Plus, I kind of figure how they’re going to run at least a part of it.” Gage began to laugh but felt a strong pull to the water and let out a quick “Woaaa..” a splash formed in the water and within a couple of seconds, he popped back up fully visible. He shot out some water from his mouth like a water gun at Michael and squinted his eyes. “Ditto… old man.” He clenched his fist and pulled it down. This caused a bit of gravity to pull down on Michael’s leg’s to try and dunk him underwater.

  “Just what I wanted to hear. That reminds me, I have some very special moves and skills I have to show you before you test. Give you some advantage,” he smiled as he splashed the water back at Gage. “ Who are you calling old man?”

“Starting to?” Zach gave Michael a ’oh really?’ type look before letting out a laugh. He knew Michael quite well, very much like how the other knew him to be honest. The sudden feeling of becoming lighter was felt easily enough by Zach as he noticed he was slowly lifting off the ground just a bit as he gave Michael a smile. “Someone’s playful tonight. You wanna play a bit before eating or something?” As soon as he was done talking, Zach curled his index and middle finger a bit. The motion causing the other to slowly drift closer to him by doing so.

  “Of course you handsome man,” he teased with a grin as he looked at the other. A laughter escaped his lips and he was not at all surprised by the others actions. “I have been working on paperwork all day and of course I am playful especially around a certain person,” he grined as he was slowly drifted towards Zach. “Impressive like always.”

“My Knighthood test should be coming soon with my birthday. Also, who says I need access to them?” Gage gave the man a devious little smirk before disappearing as his body turned into multi-colored lights and black squares before disappearing completely. Within a couple of seconds, he reappeared upside down but above Michael. His arm reached down and splashed some water at the man before going invisible again.

   “I know and how are you feeling about your Knighthood test?” he asked before laughing and shaking his head at he watched Gage appear and go invisible again. “You and your annoying tricks,” he added, guessing where Gage would appear and changing the gravity of that spot a bit.

( .. closing time , at the music store ; was his absolute favorite. it meant , he could blast his music , as loud as he wanted. and of course have some fun , while straightening up ; as well. dance , dance ; was currently blaring through the speakers of the store , while cyrus swept. using the broom , as a make-shift microphone and guitar ; as he sang along with the fall out boy , bop. forgetting that he hadn’t locked the doors yet , or shut off the ‘open’ sign ; he was more than startled , to come face to face with a person. “ aaarrggh , o-oh fu-fuck ! ” exclaimed in almost terror , clutching a hand to his chest ; as if it’d help the racing of his heart , slow. “ i-i’m sorry ! i’m so so so , sorry ; oh my fuck! i thought , i locked the doors and everything ; and i didn’t think anyone would even come to the store , this late anyways— ” cyrus took a large inhale of air ; as he felt himself become almost light-headed , from lack of oxygen. “ sorry. aahmm … but did you aahm …need something? i mean …. i’m sort of supposed to be closed , but … since you’re already in here …. i guess , i can help you , super quick. ”  he offered awkwardly , as he stood , staring at the man. .. ) 

   “I saw the lights on and the door was open,” he answered looking at the other. His response and tone was charming and sweet with a warm bright smile. “I was surprise that a shop was open this late.”

“Well, I figured you might wanna surprise me. That or the lure of a ton of food and drink would have you waiting on me or something.” Zach gave the older male a coy smirk before shaking his head with a laugh. To the man’s question, Zach moved one of the empty large bowls in front of him and made a swooping motion with his hand followed with lifting it up. In a few seconds, a marching line of ice cubes came up from the window and flew into the bowl until it was half full. Reversing both motions, Zach’s smile returned. “Best I can do. Sadly, Ice powers aren’t something I’m likely to develop. Give them a few minutes and they should start cooling.”

  “You’re starting to know me so well Zach,” he said before clapping his hands as he watched the other and smiled. “So creative and impressive with you skills,” he added as he changed the gravity and he started to float a bit, also changing the gravity around Zach too.
