People always talk about the whiplash of pahkitew's weirdo syndrome cast, which is fair and true, but I feel like it's only recently hit me how unevenly gendered that really is see: the girls- the two straightforwardly normal/sane contestants (Sky, Jasmine), tropey but still normal teens (Amy, Sammy), naive and fairytale-coded but still down to earth (Ella), 'evil' i guess but grounded (Scarlett) and Sugar who does operate on her own weird wavelength but at least gets she has to Play the game the boys- commonplace hater who only goes all cracked in the head at the end (Dave), guy who doesn't talk and thats all he's known for (Beardo), FOUR different guys with some degree of severe delusion or obsession (Topher, Rodney, Shawn, Leonard), Max who is also deluded but to the point that this doesnt even feel like a teenager or a total drama character

boys carrying the weirdo balance... notable since i feel like for gen1/2 it's the opposite if anything
