Embrace good changes. Part- 15
Hi folks!! Hope you are doing fine. We are all lucky that we have survived the pandemic so far. Hope to see you all in a good and a warm state. I am also good here in my country praying for everybody’s good health and well being.
As for my advances well I have finally learned the right fingers to use for some alphabets( after learning the wrong one) and is getting accustomed for using them while typing( right now too).
How is your daily step challenge going? I hope it’s going fine. If you haven’t started it yet then God knows when it will happen. I am trying my best to motivate you all to keep yourself fit and happy. Register in some challenge in some fitness applications to keep yourself motivated if you are not motivated by me or by other person. Start doing it. NOW!!
Sometimes people face situation where they are questioned a lot about a thing and ultimately that person who is being questioned think that something wrong has happened by them. This situation has happened with me too and it makes you lose your confidence even if you are right. And at last, the person starts to blame themselves which is not good.
This happened with me today. One of my colleague started asking questions one by one about a specific thing and it was normal( as it was his part of work to do it right). But I thought that something wrong has happened by me and that’s why he is asking too many questions. So, I asked him if there is something wrong. But all was normal. He asked me those questions because he had to make changes and had to be sure that nobody is using the thing. This gave me relief but all the time I was in a state of confusion. This shouldn’t happen.
I was reading about it and has felt that the key to overcome this types of situations is CONFIDENCE and nothing else. Be confident and don’t doubt yourself. Be extrovert or if you are introvert like me then try to know how to converse with others because I have seen that the people who don’t know how to talk to others showcase low self confidence. This needs to be changed.
Be confident. Be You!!
Tell me in the comment section below about your experience you gained by facing the above type of situation and how you overcame it. Feel free to give your suggestions. Till then, “HAPPY READING”!!

Embrace good changes. Part- 14
Hi folks!! What’s up? What are you up to now a days? Something really exciting or not so good. Try to search for good in bad too. Life always gives you experience in all situations. Take it and grow from it. This should be your motto.
I told you all to start the daily step challenge to become fit. Are you doing it or just sitting in your bed doing nothing?Start it guys. Right now. Make it your daily routine. This will definitely help you. Of course you will feel a little tired and but it is relaxing too. Try to involve more people as much as possible so that you can do the challenge without giving up( even if you want to at some point of time).
The thing I am going to tell you now is very common and I think everybody have faced it. It is forgetting things on the right moment even if you have learned it yesterday. It happens with me too.
Today this thing again happened with me. And it was and easy logic which I have used numerous times. Still I forgot it and asked stupid question about it. It is not right. This makes you look down in front of others.
The key to overcome this is RECALLING. Try to recall what you have learnt today in spaced repetitions. First recall the topic everyday, then after few days change everyday into days with one day gap and then change gaps between recalling to weeks, months and years. This way things can be remembered and can not be forgotten.( if right thing is recalled). If you forget something at the time of recall, reread the topic and then start recalling. This will make your mind sharp and your memory power will improve.
I do this everyday for the things I am learning or have learnt these days. The logic which I forgot was learnt weeks ahead when I was not so much familiar to make recalling a daily habit. And thus lead to embarrassment.
RECALL EVERYTHING AND LOOK FORWARD!!
Do tell me your embarrassing situations when you tried to remember something but forgot at the right moment. Please feel free to give your suggestions. Till then, HAPPY READING.

Embrace good changes. Part- 13
Hello folks!! Hi are you? I am fine here and I hope you are fine too. It’s been two days that I haven’t write post and I am sorry for it. Although I have already broken the streak but I know I shouldn’t have done this. I was trying to develop my habit of writing and because of the office work I was unable to do it for straight two days. But it’s OK. Humans learn from their mistakes.
I am also a human and despite all the changes, sometimes I cannot resist myself to break free of my daily routine. It’s in nature. This needs a lot of effort and dedication. I am sure I will take small steps everyday to make it happen.
One thing I have observed in myself is that while doing any work I do not think of much possibilities. I just do what I am told to do and do not explore much area. This is the problem  upon which I need to focus.
This problem had made me faced many difficulties. Let’s see what happened with me today regarding this. I was told to explore new feature of a product and I did it. Whatever things I was told I read about it and made it happen. But when others tested it today I became stuck on one thing for which I didn’t knew the logic and I think I wasted time of others along with myself. At last, I came to know that my work was fine but didn’t tested all areas by myself which lead to the confusion among others. I think this whole scenario can be the contributing factor to get me out of the office after one month.
I try to do my best but sometimes I didn’t explore much and this leads to me trouble. I am trying to improve myself so that this situation never occurs. Experience and a lot of reading will help me to improve this situation and yours too( if we are on same boat!!)
Always try to give your best!!
Do let me know about your situations when you tried to give your best in the comment section below. Remember hardships will be there when you try to do something new in your life. Feel free to give suggestions. Till then, HAPPY READING.

Embrace good changes. Part- 12
Hello peeps!! Wishing you all the best in whatever you want to do. May God be with you and you taste success. That’s all I wish for you. Keep supporting good things and embrace good changes within yourself!! Today India is celebrating “Ganesh Chaturthi” and I wish you a HAPPY GANESH CHATURTHI. May Lord Ganesha blesses you with success you have wished for.
Today I was free of all work. Whole week I was waiting for weekend to get some relaxation. But this was the first time I was not happy with the free time. Perhaps I am slowly getting used to office work. This should be good news for me but suddenly I remembered my old days.
Earlier in my graduation days I was lazy. I never did any extra work and my roommate was alike. We used to sleep in the afternoon, in the night but then too we were always sleepy( after sleeping so much!!). I used to study one day before exam to get passing marks. I was not into co- curricular activities either. Just relax was my motto. I was enjoying my life like this.
But now I miss my earlier life. It’s been so many months since I have met my college friends. I miss them and the fun we had( of course I miss the fights too!!). Those were the good days.
In this pandemic my life has turned upside down. The girl who never woke up before 8 a.m. on weekends now wake up at exact 7 a.m. to finish work on time. The girl who used to just lie down on bed on holidays now learn on weekends too. The girl who used to binge watch shows now read Harry Potter books and is not at all interested in watching web series or movies. That girl is me!!
Currently I am reading HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN and it’s so good. I bought this book online with adult cover and it’s awesome. I am loving it.
I never ever thought in my dreams that what I am doing these days will become my daily routine. Sometimes I really miss my old good days and my graduation farewell also got cancelled. Even I haven’t bid my friends one last time. This pandemic sucks!!
Do things what you want to do now coz another chance never comes!!
Do tell me about changes in you like how used to be earlier and how are you now. Please feel free to give suggestions. I will be talking about on a good idea in my next posts. Till then, “HAPPY READING”!!

Embrace good changes. Part- 11
Hello peeps!! How are you? I hope everything is perfectly fine in your life. I am also good here. I just want to go outside as before. But the motto “Life is more precious” has been rooted deeply in our minds to protect ourselves. So just sit back, relax and enhance skills or start learning new things for which you never had time before.
These days I am loaded with office work and it increases day by day. But I am enjoying it as I never met with this situation earlier. I am finally getting used to this office routine. But the internet sucks in my home. That’s the biggest issue I am facing.
I have shared some of my good moments with you and what I learnt from those. I personally believe that small changes can make a great impact in your life and I am experiencing it daily - My habits of good things has been formed by small changes only.
Today I will be sharing with you another great tip for effective weight loss which is highly overlooked but has great benefits. Eating dinner early. Yes this is the most underrated tip I have seen. Changing lifestyle also includes your eating habits and most often people ignore this. You must be thinking if this is such an underrated tip How I came to know about this? Well that’s not a long story, it’s actually a short story.
I have already mentioned in one of the posts about how my weight loss journey started when I was in secondary school. When I was about to start doing yoga, one day I heard someone on TV giving this tip of eating dinner before 7 p.m. to lose weight. My grandfather was watching it and I just casually heard it while doing some work. But at that time I was fully determined to lose weight to wear “lehenga” in my cousin’s marriage. So one day I told mummy to make dinner for me before 7 p.m. She said okay. My computer coaching classes were going on at that time with timings 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The centre was located far from my house and it took 15 minutes to reach home. This was not the issue but the railway crossing was. Due to trains, sometimes I reached home after 7 p.m. and refuse to eat. This became a tension to my mother and we fought over it too. Sometimes she complied with me or vice versa.
The point of this story is my mother was my biggest supporter and to tell you about the tip which genuinally helped me in losing weight. You can ask about this from your health expert too.
Change within and shine outside!!
Do let me know if you have tried this technique earlier and how it went. Please feel free to give suggestions. Tell me on what area you want to learn more. Till then, HAPPY READING!!

Lockdown learning. Part- 10
Hi everyone!! Hope to see you in a good situation. I am also good here. It’s great to see you in a good mood. I hope you are doing well in your life and are making your parents or guardians proud( or whoever you love). This will make you happy and will keep pushing you to enhance more.
In my several posts, I have motivated you to do work and keep growing. But today something different will happen. Today, I will motivate you to SLEEP!!
Yes you heard it right!! I am telling you to sleep but remember I am not telling you to become lazy. People think sleeping as laziness and consider it as something bad( if you are sleeping all the time then it is definitely not good but if you are tired all the day without doing anything then it’s laziness).
Let’s face it!! We all feel tired in afternoon(mostly) and want to sleep to refresh ourselves. And what if I tell you to actually sleep at that time? You will be amazed and will not believe in this. But this is true. I am telling you to take nap and not to sleep for 3-4 hrs straight. Remember you are at work. So to feel refreshed, take a nap for at most 30 minutes. You can google about napping to know more about it but I will tell you here how to do it.
In this post, I am telling you the “THE POWER OF NAP”. When I first read about napping, I thought to try it. But I feared what if I don’t wake up at time? I will be killed. But I used to feel like sleeping in the afternoon after having lunch. and cannot really concentrate on doing something. So one day I started doing it. From that day on wards, there is no stopping(for me).
Points to remember when taking nap:      i) Try to take nap between 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.     ii) Nap shouldn’t be more than 30 minutes.    iii) Set up an alarm so your brain can be relaxed.    iv) Take nap when you feel sleepy and are yawning constantly(but take care of your situation and surroundings at that time).    v) Don’t take nap when it’s close to your bedtime.   vi) At first, you will feel dizzy after waking up and it can take 5-10 min to gather your mind in conscious state.
Above are some points which I remembered and helped me a lot to focus on things. It’s been some days when I have started doing this and I really get refreshed after napping. At first take nap of 30 mins but gradually you will know in how many minutes does your mind gets refreshed. Some people take nap 10-15 mins and it helps them. I am telling you to start it and if someone tells you to stop this nonsense tell them about its benefits. It will take time to get into this habit but once it gets cultivated you will love it.
Be conscious and focus to change yourself!!
Tell me about your hardships when you started napping as your daily routine. Please feel free to give suggestions. Till then “HAPPY READING”!!

Lockdown learning. Part- 9
Hello folks!! What’s up, huh? Sorry for the delay of ninth post. I was busy with work yesterday( high priority for customer). So my post streak also ended with the delay. My fault but it’s okay( I am consoling myself).
In my eighth post I wrote about how I am practicing two things at one time. But of course for it to happen you should know how to do one thing atleast( remember I am learning writing and practicing touch typing).
Let’s begin with some positivity today. In India, covid-19 patients recovery rate is increasing and that’s good news. I hope everything become normal after some time or after vaccine is made.
How many of you are in challenge with me? The daily step challenge.. You forgot na!! No worries start from today and keep me updated. This challenge will definitely change you in a good way as it has changed me( made me a fitness freak in some way) Today I cannot practice yoga as I had meeting at 10 a.m. But I have been thinking for the whole day about it as if like something is missing. Practicing yoga daily gives me happiness and energy for the whole day( plus it keeps me fit) and no wonder how badly I am missing doing it today.
Sometimes I wonder what I have never thought to do earlier I am doing it now. For example, in my graduation days I never thought to learn touch typing but see now I am doing it. It’s been difficult in getting accustomed with the right keys due to which my speed has become slow. But I am learning and that’s what good. My cousin has also started learning touch typing after watching me learning and practicing on a site online. It’s wonderful to show good ways to others. One of my friend never really believed in saving money. He used to spend all what he had and every time I used to warn him about his expenditure. But he used to ignore me.But I think he realized it in this pandemic that saving money is also equally important as spending it.
When you start your journey in doing something think of the ways to do it and not on what you will achieve. And trust me you will achieve something bigger than you thought of.
Believe in PROCESS not PRODUCT!!
Do tell me your stories about how you have learned those things which you thought you never can do.. I will bring something new in another post. Please feel free to give suggestions. Till then, “HAPPY READING”!!

Lockdown learning. Part- 8
Hello everyone!! I hope you are doing fine. I don’t know what is the situation in your country but be safe. I am trying to give as much as possible I have learnt or realized in this time period. I hope it helps you too in your life.
So, I will start right away and not beat around the bush. I will not be writing a big post as I am occupied today with some work. But the habit of writing should not break.
Today I am going to tell you how practicing writing is helping me in another way. Yes, I am enhancing two skills at one time. Can you guess it? It’s not very usual skill most people work upon. So, can you name it? It’s the “TOUCH TYPING”.
Yes, I am practising touch typing- typing without looking keys on the keyboard. But I am not perfect at it. I have been practising it for a month and I have become quite good at it( or what I thought so). Today I realized I have practiced some keys with wrong fingers( the worst thing). But I am trying to make these new changes now. It is difficult to realize that all the time you were learning something wrong but kudos a wrong way is found where many people can make mistakes. So I can tell those mistakes to new  learners of this skills, not to make it again as I have.
Don’t overthink and remain sad about any setback. Just step up and start again.
Do let me know your challenges when you started learning Touch Typing. Till then “HAPPY READING”!

Lockdown learning. Part- 7
Hi folks!! Hope you are doing good and are up to something valuable. Well I am trying to tell you how to overcome the challenges when you start something new. I hope I am doing my work well. It’s great to talk or write your life experiences and now writing has become something to which I look forward.
In my sixth post, I told you about my procrastination towards “writing diary”. I still have not started it. I will start it from September (no pending things at all). Let’s talk about today. This post will be fitness oriented.
Some days back, I used to walk 10000 steps daily. It was my daily routine. I used to take phone with me whenever I walk continuously in day to track my steps( I am planning to buy fitness band now). But as I became lazy I stopped doing it. At first I noticed nothing but now I have noticed that my thighs have become slightly fatty. My legs were never slim but at least after walking my legs were becoming less and less fat. But now they are tending towards their original shape.
And again from today, I have joined the challenge on Samsung Health application to walk daily 15000 steps. I know in the beginning it will not help but gradually the changes will appear.
I want to make this as a challenge for you(well join me in this challenge so that we can do it together) to walk 15000 steps a daily. It actually makes your legs slimmer if a proper diet is followed with it. Step up the paddle and do it.
You know another thing which I have started from today. It is for me “separation from my favourite thing”. Any idea?? I have stopped eating sweets from today. It was heartbreaking but I was not losing any weight. So, finally I decided to stop eating sweets. But I know I can do it. Ok, sometimes can be a cheat day but not everyday. It is very challenging for me as being an Indian, we have lots of festivals( whether big or small) and on almost every occasion sweets will be presented. It’s very difficult for me to say no to it when it is in front of my eyes. But, I am determined to do it.
There is an actual story on how I became fitness conscious. “When I was in secondary school I was not at all health conscious and I used to weigh 80 kg. At that time, my cousin’s wedding date was finalized and I wanted to wear a “lehenga”( Indian traditional dress) but I didn’t wanted to show my stomach( this was the first time in my life when this thought actually occurred to me). So, from the month JULY, I started doing 30 repetitions of “surya namaskar” or sun salutation. Sweets and junk food were almost stopped( except for some days) and I used to eat my dinner before 7 p.m.( not a minute after that). This was my routine for three months. Then I stopped as winter started and I used to feel like sleeping rather waking up in morning. I didn’t check my weight at that time. In the month of November, on one day I was just sitting and watching TV when my relative told me to check your weight to see how much you have lost. Then I checked and I was happy and shocked too. I lost 6 kg in three months. I was so happy and so was my mother because she used to tell me to lose weight but I used to ignore her everytime. And that now I lost weight she was more than happy for me.”
Family is the love you don’t see, but without it, life is lost.
Do let me know about your issues when you first started to lose weight or something new. These posts will be filled with what I have actually seeked from life( and not just some fancy stories..) Till then, “HAPPY READING”.

Lockdown learning. Part-6
Hello folks. What you are upto? Something good or bad., huh? Well today is my sixth day of writing blogs and I decided to change the title of series. Well I will be changing the titles after every five post. But don’t worry, the series and the motivation will remain same.
By the way today is August 15, a very important day for Indians as on this day we became independent from the British rule. How exciting it is to live in free atmosphere, isn’t it? I wish you all a very  “HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY”.
Independence can have context at your level. And it is true for fear or lack of confidence too. So take pledge to make your yourself free from fear or lack of confidence which are hurdles in your path for self-change. So, let’s begin for today.
I have already told you about my laziness and how I came ahead of it. But one thing inspite of all the changes is that I haven’t started  “Writing diary”. I know the questions arising in your head will be like “You are writing posts in your blog. Isn’t this enough?” or “Haha! Another motivational story”. But today, I am not going to give you any motivation but rather some of my experienced life. If you call this time wasting, I still recommend you to read this post before making any other further judgement.
I used to write diary one year and some months back. It was my important work to do before sleeping. Years before it I started writing diary but was not regular. I was not regular one year back also. But the days when I missed writing or denied it doing, I used to feel that something is missing and tell about the missed day on next day. Writing diary meant to me like “talking with my friend” with whom I can share all my secrets and what’s happening in my life. After sharing each important moment, I used to feel relieved and my thoughts were in good mood.
But now, I have realised that I overthink sometimes. I wonder over one thing so much that it changes into negative thoughts. This is the biggest setback I have felt in me now-a-days. And yes for this thing I am procrastinating. So, you see, I am also a human. I have changed myself a lot but not completely. So these things happen to me too. But, I am willing to be on this track rather than giving up.
From this story, I just want to tell you that if you are shy person like me and are trying to develop confidence, start writing diary everyday. It not only gives you relaxed feeling but stops negative feelings to grow in your mind to focus on other good things( in my case it worked, hope to see it working in your case too).
Tip for the day: Everybody should have someone to talk to be it friends, family or things( people will call you crazy for this but don’t get affected by this). Just open yourself.
Do let me know about the issues you have faced while keeping writing diary as a habit. I will be posting about the moments of my life which were life changing for me to keep you all in good spirits. Till then, “HAPPY READING”!!

How COVID-19 affected my life? Part- 5
Hello folks!! How you doin’?? I hope you all are safe and are utilizing the best of your time. If I can make it to fifth day of writing, then you all can do whatever you want to achieve. Just be regular and cheerful!!
In my fourth post, I told you about how habit can change anybody’s life in a great way. And if you haven’t started doing it, then to make you regular at a thing I have another awesome technique. So, let’s begin!!
If you have read my second article very carefully and pondered over it, the key for today’s technique is already there. Yes, you got it right. I am talking about the COURSERA course for learning how to learn.
Now you must be thinking what’s so new about it. We have been studying all about our life so we must know how to learn. That’s so simple. I am not going to waste my time on it...and the list goes on. But trust me this course is no ordinary like other. I literally wished that I should have known earlier about it to make good changes in me. But as I said earlier, no regrets!!
This course name is “Learning How To Learn by Barabara Oakley” and it is a free course. Exciting isn’t it!! And trust me what you will learn in this course will not be taught to you in any paid workshop or seminar. I find it that brilliant. This course teaches you how your brain takes new information and techniques to handle even the hardest situation in which you feel like giving up.
If I tell you everything about it then what is the point of studying that course. Go hurry up if you haven’t started doing learning from that course( of course after reading this article!!). This is not any paid promotion, as told already this is my experience which I am sharing with you all to be a better person. Link for the course will be given at the last..
You know what I have started doing?? Guess.. use your brain. Ok, let me tell you. I have started to take part in all the scenarios for public speaking. Isn’t it great!! For the first time in all these years, I took part in my office competition to make a message video on “Independence Day”. Although due to network issue today, I couldn’t submit the video on time but still I shared it and felt so good about it. I have been dreading all these years to speak in public but today I thought this was the biggest mistake I have ever done in my life. So please I request to all shy people, please speak up. If you didn’t, then all your efforts to change yourself will be wasted. You will lose your chances to express yourself. So stand up and be free to spill your thoughts.
Taking the course will obviously give you loads of motivation, courage and the best thing “confidence” in yourself which I am enhancing now( by writing this post, it takes courage you know!!!) In fact you know, my father kept pushing me to upload the video from tomorrow to till the time I have uploaded it. He said to me even if the video is not good share what you have created. By this you will gain more confidence and I think this is the best thing I have heard( and experienced) till time..
I hope to give you all that which I didn’t have in my starting years  which is “MENTORSHIP”. And by the way have I told you my exciting story? If I haven’t( obviously I didn’t) keep yourself updated with my posts.
As promised, the link for the course is here: https://www.coursera.org/learn/learning-how-to-learn/home/welcome
Do let me know about the challenges you have faced while learning new things and after sometime you thought to give up. I will keep you guiding guys and till then “HAPPY READING”.

How COVID-19 affected my life? Part- 4
Hello folks! I cannot believe that I made it to day four of writing. I am very happy about it as I have remained a biggest procrastinator all through my life. But the motivation and will power to change myself with good skills keeps me going.
In my third article, I wrote about how I tackled the situation of gaining weight by doing yoga and meditation. But one thing which I haven’t told about is MAKING HABIT.
Yes, habit is another reason which keeps me motivated to learn new things. “The Power Of Habit” by Charles Duhigg is the book which describes what habit can make you do(and actually it do wonders). I haven’t read this book(planning to read after finishing my current book) but can actually feel the power of it already. In earlier times, my routine was disturbed to a great extent. No planned time for anything. No exercise, no planned studying time etc. But now I follow a daily routine and yes it helped me to become better than I used to be.
All the credit to make my daily routine fixed goes to..any guesses??? No, it is not anything you are guessing, it is a TV show. Yes, you saw it right. A TV show helped(or rather forced) me to do changes in my daily routine.
In the beginning of lockdown in India, I used to wake up at 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. and I used to feel so lazy all day which made me focus on wasting time rather than utilizing it in good cause. Not only changing routine helped me to focus on developing skills but also made me way more energetic.
So you must be wondering how this transformation happened? A lazy girl undergoes a drastic change and became energetic?? How is this even possible? You must be thinking I am kidding.
But this is true. Doing some minor changes made me the way I am now. So let me tell you my secret of using TV show as a routine changer.
When lockdown in India started, after few days it was announced that the mythological show “RAMAYANA” by Ramanand Sagar ji is going to re-telecast on DD National(a channel name) and being a spiritual fan I wanted to watch it as it was a very popular show in the 1980s or 1990s( I don’t remember exactly). So you must be wondering what’s new in this? Many shows are aired on TV now-a-days. Even the craze for TV shows has gone as people now watch web series.
Very special thing about this show was its content and the creativity which is used to make this show. Even the dialogue delivery is awesome. I loved it after watching it and was emotional when this show went off air. So, I was telling how this show made my routine. When I heard about the show’s re-telecast, I was excited. But the problem was it timings. The timing was in the morning from 9-10 a.m. and in the evening 9-10 p.m.. Waking up at 8 a.m., exercising and then getting ready before my office starts was the biggest challenge for me as a lazy being and that’s when I decided to get up early. I used to get up at 7 a.m. to things done on time and because of it I started sleeping early at around 10:30 p.m. And it worked wonders for me.
For few days, I was forced to wake up early when my mother used to remind me of Ramayana. After few days of continuation, I noticed that just doing this change and I felt quite good. That afternoon laziness( or basically full day laziness) was gone. Also keeping my routine steady and constant made me the perosn I am now.
Again changes are not easy for anyone but having constant reminder of it can keep you on track( in my case it worked).
I never thought that my routine can be fixed for few days or to say I can follow a routine for several days. But now, I am so used to it that I don’t even use alarm now. I automatically wake up at 7 a.m. now.
You guys must be wondering that this is impossible but trust me keeping your sleeping hours for 7-8 hours and a steady routine will help you to follow your dreams.
Never ever underestimate the power of habit!!  That’s what I learnt and want you all to learn.
Have I told you about the Coursera course for learning how to learn? If not, wait for my next post!!
Do let me know about the issues you face while waking up early. Keep reading my posts and till then “HAPPY READING”.

How COVID-19 affected my life? Part-3
Hi everyone!! Today is my third day of writing post. I hope you all are getting some willpower to brighten up your day. Today, India is celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, eight incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Also known as Janmashtami. In my second post, I wrote about how I got motivation to make me thrive myself in learning something new. But that was just one way. Today I am going to tell you another secret for keeping me in good spirit.
During initial days of lockdown, I gained my weight which helped me in losing my self-esteem thanks to my incapability of controlling myself for eating habits. Sweets are my biggest weak point and being an Indian I cannot resist them. Gaining weight, which I had lost all over the years with my hard work, is simply I cannot see. I made sure I should do something to keep me on the right track.
I first started doing workout from YouTube for several days but nothing happened. Then I decided to learn yoga and meditation to keep me good spirit(after watching news). In the beginning, I struggled as after so many days I was doing sun salutation and other yoga Asana. That pain hurts a lot. But I keep on doing.
At first, I was following a YouTube channel named “Yoga With Adriene”. Adriene teaches you from beginner level which is the good point(I will be sharing the link below). But after some time, I realized that the daily yoga videos of this channel is too slow for me. At this point of time, something unexpected happened to me.
My company HR started a competition for counting daily step count(just for engaging the employees). In this competition participants were requested to walk as much as possible to increase their step count daily. This followed for a week. I also participated in it for fun. I came second in the competition. But the thing which I didn’t expect was I lost 2 kg in just five days. Unbelievable, isn’t it? But the pain was worth it.
At first, I thought this is not true but it was. From then on I decided to follow SWAMI RAMDEV on YouTube on daily basis. And his truly videos worked for me. Although I am not perfect as much as he is(he is incredible, do check out his videos to learn yoga and pranayam on a daily basis or for a specific problem), but still I can do push-ups (which were far away from me some time ago) and other Asana.
Yes it seems too easy but it isn’t. I struggled and now I am at intermediate level. Some days I thought quitting it because of the pain and one most important reason(I will be writing about it in my next post) but my family was there to support me in this. I am very happy about this and this kept me going to achieve what I am today. I can stop my breath for more time now and now have gained much stability than before.
Life is not what it seems, it is what you don’t see.
As promised, here are the links: For yoga with Adriene: https://www.youtube.com/user/yogawithadriene For yoga with Swami Ramdev:

But I prefer to catch with him on daily pranayam in morning which gets live and recorded on AASTHA channel(don’t confuse it with my name): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRUAdVm9ZOF4JheOd8qIQHA
I hope you like my posts and let me know issues what you have faced while losing weight or doing other activities. Till then HAPPY READING!!

How COVID-19 affected my life? Part-2
Hello everyone!! My name is Aastha Agrawal and today is day two of my blog writing. In my previous blog, I wrote about my life turning upside down with the starting of the pandemic. But how I am motivating myself to learn new skills per month is a very challenging task which I am going to share with you guys in this post.
I am a very shy being. In my childhood, I used to participate in activities but as I grew older I became non-interested in these activities. Result, I cannot even communicate with people other than I know. All these things happened to me in graduation too which is now affecting my career life. I have been given two months to fill the skill gaps otherwise I will be fired.
Like other people, I was thinking how to learn new skills in such a short time. And then, I came across a post on medium. That post changed my perception towards learning. The post is written by a person named “Danny Forest”. I will be sharing the link at the end of the post. After reading the post, I questioned myself that if this person can learn new skills per month and be good enough starting from scratch why can’t I? And from that day onwards I keep checking myself whether I am on the right track or not. This is not easy. But I keep writing although nobody sees my post.
There is a course given in that post for learning tips and techniques to keep learning harder things after learning the easier ones. They are the best advice I have learned and used these days. I wish I had known them earlier to build my personality to a great extent. But no regrets, learning can be started at whatever age.
My parents dependency has not yet downgraded still my work has been upgraded since my brother came back home. But now I am happy and cheerful. A lot of anger issues are there, but I am controlling it and had reduced it to an extent.
Every day when I read news I see myself in a good position than others that I have a good life and do whatever I want except for roaming outside.
As promised above, link for the post on medium: https://medium.com/skilluped/8-timeless-skills-to-learn-now-in-under-8-hours-to-change-your-life-forever-75e7b339373a
Do tell me your thoughts on this issue and will bring something more cheerful in the next post. Till then, HAPPY READING!!

How COVID-19 affected my life? Part- 1
Hello everyone!! Hope you are doing fine during this pandemic. Some of us are locked in our homes and others are set free. This pandemic has given time to us to realize who we are and what we want. Our priorities have been totally changed from being workaholic to spending some time with family. Almost all of us have started to learn new skills to enhance our personality in different areas which helps to gain a broader view of a problem which may come across at any moment in our life.              Yes there are some exceptions but not me. To help me develop my writing  skills I am trying to do a thirty-day challenge in writing. Let me start my first article on how COVID-19 has turned my life upside down.               I was in my final year of engineering degree but started doing training in a data analytics company as a data engineer. Life was good till one and quarter months when the situation started getting worse in my country due to Covid-19. I came back to my hometown and started work from home. At first, it seemed good to be back home and I thought I will be back to my office in April. But how on earth can this be possible? Lockdown started and getting extended from March to April, to May. But the days which seemed happier were no longer good now. I have to juggle between household chores to office work and have to keep everything on time. And what became worst, my family started to develop dependency on me for small things like giving water etc: Argument was no option as this had no effect on them through which I became emotionally unstable. As a result I became tired throughout the day and did no work. But now I am motivated enough to develop my skills these days to enhance my personality.    Want to know how this transformation happened? Wait for my second article!! Thanks for reading.
