boy oh boy. Sorry for the low activity, but I have just been extremely busy with life stuff. I’m in a very intensive program that’s going to be close to 9 months now and finding the time or the creativity to write is getting hard. I’m not going to leave like I did last time though! I still love and respect Charlie too much, but to my friends and followers just know that this blog is officially gonna be marked as low-activity.

This guy was sort of funny, and although the question was yet unanswered at that point, she found herself walking beside him towards the truck anyway. Lucky, she thought, that this was the way she wanted to go anyway— Probably.

    “ I didn’t even know we were having a conversation, mate! ” Dressed very peculiarly. The thought intruded briefly as she spoke. The way he moved and looked around brought the image of a science teacher to mind. Though she’d never met a science teacher that called questions pointless. “ And I really don’t wanna burst your uh, jazz endeavors, but I think it’s a little too late to see Ray Charles. ”

“I’d get over it, but like… please don’t hit me in the balls with a bat,” he says, and he’s wincing, either from the imagined pain of getting hit where the sun don’t shine, or from the actual pain of the knot on his forehead, even PJ’s not sure.

He grimaces as she presses the ice pack harder into the tender spot, eyes closed and eyebrows knit together. Ouch. And then the ice pack is placed into his already cold hands, and he presses it to his head instead, since she’s clearly mad.

“It’s not like it would do anything. I’m already dead.”

    Despite his protest (  or perhaps because of it  ), she felt the impulse to. Had there been a bat lying around, she might well have picked it up just to scare him.

    “ Yeah, dead to me if ya don’t start taking better care of yourself. ” She pointed at him accusingly. Charlie never really completely knew how his whole situation worked— but surely he wasn’t invincible. Perhaps death couldn’t reach him, but who said injuries couldn’t either? 

    “ I saw a documentary about brains. Worst thing I ever saw. You could go blind with one wrong neuro-electrical move in there! ”
