Much can be said about the feud between land and sea.

In today’s popular media, Violets usually are the victors of any story they may feature in, out of fear of Imperial censorship. However, in Ancient times the narrative landscape was more even. Take for example this Ancient Troll Roman painting presenting the myth of Andromeda.

The painting is somewhat sequential - on the left is Perseus entering, either into the city or into battle. In the top right we clearly see Perseus with the Highblood Cepheus, who sends Perseus to kill Andromeda. Center-stage is the sea witch herself, calling upon her fearsome lusus to eat the interloper. Below her on the right is her Indigo captive, Cassiopeia, chained to the rock.

I’ve noticed a sore lack of information available to the public on Alternian history beyond the basic school feedings, and would like to extend my reef of knowledge on the subject.

I specialize in Ancient history, but I’ve of course dabbled in other periods. From Caegar to modernity and everything before us, I try to learn and share as much as I can.

I myself am only recently remembering much of this, so apologies if not everything is wholly accurate or oversimplified. I’ve lost access to my library and cannot supply many, if any, citations. My apologies.
