I imagine Ayano's mentor to be maybe like a cool grandma type of character, very passionate about her job, who have been working for the cryptanalysis department almost her whole life or something like that

No, I don't think they've ever met🤔

At first I thought that they technically *could* meet at some point during a chuunin exam (because Kabuto passed the exam 7 times), but I doubt that. Ayano passed the exam at 16, Kabuto was like... 13-14 at that time. And they definitely didn't meet during season 1

Ayano and Kakashi seems from the same generation. Is there an age difference?

Yeah, they do have an age gap of about 4.5 years. They have known each other before season 1 (they happened to be in a team on a mission once or twice), but had almost nothing going on until Naruto left the village and Kakashi had time for other things

UPDATE: y'all are free to decide for yourself if Ayano is a girl or a guy or anything in between. I personally prefer they/them pronouns for them, but you can use any!

I have a hard time defining people's character traits, so the "what does Kakashi like the most" question caught me of guard ngl, but it made me actually think about that. I think the thing is... they are kinda similar in a lot of ways, and they have the same opinions on a bunch of stuff. But unlike Kakashi, one of the most important things for Ayano is their own wellbeing, so they actively encourage him to prioritize his health and comfort too (which he probably enjoys).

One more fun fact: my favorite design for Ayano is their "The Last" outfit ⬇️⬇️⬇️ I imagine them being a cool specialist in cryptography (and.....Kksh's spouse👀.....preferably...)

Nap is the answer to everything. And Ayano is probably a person with the worst sleep schedule ever who also happens to sleep all the time somehow.

i LOVE your kakashi/oc art! not sure if it's the way you stylize him or maybe seeing him with a character that doesn't exist in canon, but he feels more... real? does that make sense? is that weird? I dunno, but i love seeing the little snippets of their relationship. its so very cute. thank you for posting them!!

the difference between kksh and any other character I draw is that I know EXACTLY how I want him to look like

my favorite part is his nose btw... I LOVE whatever is going on there, I like to draw it with this little angle so it's not exactly straight but not aquiline either...
