Gin is just having a normal day then gets caught up in weird shit and awakens to superpowers to save you.

Anyway a bunch of other fun stuff

I know this is probably coming from people who only know one or just weren’t following the blog when submissions were open but it’s still so funny being like “they literally call each other partner!” In the tags like, yes, that was one of the requirements for being in the contest in the first place, that is true of most of the ships (and if they don’t they called each other something like “other half” or “souls entwined”)

Oh yeah that’s literally it. It’s absolutely hilarious.

Mod I am so sorry this tournament is being ruined for you by people being annoying in the tags. I get that people are passionate about their pair but there’s no need to say that the other one somehow doesn’t apply, like they got to the final round of the tournament off of being popular alone. That’s kinda condescending to everyone who got them this far. Plus it’s a trope, it’s subjective, I assume that’s why the initial submission rules are like “they call each other partner”

Like if you can’t support your pair without implying the other should be disqualified then don’t say anything at all please

I feel like some people are forgetting that this tournament isn’t about shipping. Because at least two people have reblogged the Yami Yugi/Yugi Muto vs Yu Narukami/Yosuke Hanamura poll with “#p4 is a fever dream of yosuke’s homophobia”

Okay. To be fair, P4 is a fever dream of Yosuke’s homophobia. Like I say this as a P4 fan, this game is at once incredibly gay and homophobic. HOWEVER, I have seen some tags that imply that voting for Souyo makes the voter homophobic, and that’s just not true.

You are right though: This tournament isn’t about shipping. It’s whichever side are the better partners, despite personal ship preference.

At the end of the day, please just vote for your side without being disparaging? Pretty please? Just let your blorbos duke it out, whoever wins wins.
