[I forgot I can put snippets here... needed to vent a bit of sadness out.
Rema throws an unnecessary tantrum due to being emotionally afraid. If you don't like emotion or angst stuff, then this isn't for you!]
Rema: *opens the door to the Captain's Quarters, looking downwards*
Zorga: Good afternoon, Rema.
Rema: *is silent, marching up to Zorga and extending its hands out.*
Zorga: *senses the hostility, and turns around from his book while raising an eyebrow* What is going o--
Rema: *grabs onto Zorga's shoulders and pushes him against the wall, earning a grunt of surprise from the Captain, starting to cry* ...Why? You love me, right? So why do you always look so good next to everyone else?
Zorga: ...
Rema: I just don't understand... I can't. Why was it me? If you lied about wanting me, I'll never forgive you.
Zorga: *his gaze becomes sharp for a moment* Rema. Deep breaths.
Rema: *does a deep breath, but starts crying, weakly moving its hands away* Honestly, nevermind. I can't even figure anything out anymore... just don't worry about me. *starts to walk off*
Zorga: *grabs onto Rema's arm with his clawed one* You will not be permitted to leave. Not after shoving me against the wall like that, and then crying.
Rema: Let me go! Do you even know what it's like to always feel like you're only being loved out of sympathy?!
Zorga: *pulls Rema back, and turns it around* Listen to me.
Rema: ...
Zorga: I've lived... or rather, I've been a part of Cray for a very long time. Far longer than the lifespan of an average human, earth or otherwise. I've seen many different kinds of love, experienced as much as you could imagine.
Rema: *looks up, but looks down*
Zorga: Look at me. Look into my eyes as I say this to you.
Rema: Y-yes...? Um... *looks up, terrified*
Zorga: I love you, and I am enamored with you. Death will not even be the end of you and I, you've known that since the beginning. Yet, I would prefer you live life as much as you can. Giving up your life, your feelings for myself, your feelings for Masanori all for the sake of "hurting a bit less" will do nothing, we both know this.
Rema: Zorga... please. I can't do this anymore. I'm so afraid. I don't want you to find better than me. I'm so sorry...
Zorga: Do you think I do not feel a similar way? You do understand the premise of our feelings towards each other, earlier on?
Rema: Somewhat, yes...
Zorga: *gets closer* I never thought I would have the chance to understand such a radiantly plagued soul. Your penchant for self-sacrifice is matched only for the intensity and depth by which you love others. Do you truly believe that after all we have been through, that I would see you as some disposable experiment?
Rema: I... I can't ever know...
Zorga: No one is allowed to leave Regrain, once they are here. Do you understand?
Rema: ...I understand that much, but...
Zorga: *closes his eyes as his sigils glow, showing a blue string leading from Rema's chest to Zorga's own*
Rema: What...? I thought I only ever had visions about this. I didn't think it was real.
Zorga: I temporarily connected your life force to my magic, until you can stand on your own again... because you were as death walks.
Rema: Wait, all of this... but why? I only allowed you to experiment on me, and... not this.
Zorga: That was the reason for the experiment. You are far too interesting of a being to be left alone, especially to your own devices. *tilts chin up with a claw* In the end, you also cannot stand being or feeling truly alone. *his smile becomes sinister*
Rema: *gulps*
Zorga: If I were to give you the chance to see the one you first sought out in this world, would you take that opportunity?
Rema: Exculpate . . . ? That's... I don't know. I don't think I would.
Zorga: What changed between then and now? Do you not still love him?
Rema: I realized... *sniffle* that this was my home, somehow... somehow there was a home for me.
Zorga: Regrain is my home, all the same. The soft shaking and creaking as we fly through the skies, the moans and murmurs of the crew as I walk past. It is irreplaceable, wouldn't you say?
Rema: Yes... it couldn't be replaced. B-but Zorga, um... why do you ask?
Zorga: As Regrain is where I call home, as the crew on it is where I call home... *he puts a finger on Rema's soul* I found a home in your soul as well. You are not the only one to feel pangs of envy whenever something does not go your way.
Rema: Mmm... I know you're prone to being pouty, but...
Zorga: ...What was that?
Rema: AH, I mean--! Um... it's true, right?
Zorga: You aren't incorrect. *smirks, and backs away to sit down on the bed*
Rema: ...You're so mean! Why would you tease me even after all of this!
Zorga: It's just in my nature. That being said, it is obvious that our love is not defined enough for you.
Rema: Ah, no... that's not--
Zorga: *looks*
Rema: ;;;
Zorga: I knew what it was like to be human-aligned, once. I also know how humans bond. I think that we're long overdue for a different kind of bonding experience, that has our souls merge.
Rema: W-what?! I couldn't...
Zorga: ...You do not wish to?
Rema: It's just... you don't hate me?
Zorga: I could never. Now, *pats his lap* come here, little beetle.
Rema: Um... understood. ///
